I went to sell things at the Starlite Drive-In and found out it was purely about keeping all business inside with their personal, favorite vendors. I was told to get a permit from the city of Lakewood, so I did. The Lakewood City Hall had courteous, professional people to deal with. Put the paperwork together like it was routine and had me all set up. So I get back and the people reacted like they didn't actually think I'd go through with the process. Then they invented more hoops to jump through and called in a vendor to encourage, selling my stuff to other vendors, and of course, trying to low-ball everything I have. I'd like to get a job on the demolition crew, when they tear this piece of crap down to the ground, and I like Drive-Ins. Wasted my gas to come from Seattle. Good riddence to this dump.

I did alot of research online trying to find information about vending, I called the number numerous times to no avail and no one ever returned my voicemails, so this morning I go this morning to vend as the only information I could find is you need a permit if you vend more then 4 times, well, when I get there I was told I could not vend as I needed a City of Lakewood permit, I told the person I have not seen anything online about it and no one has ever returned my numerous voicemails I have left, she said basically that ain't her problem and I'm out of luck. She said that they don't have information online and the information that they do have online they haven't updated in a few years, really?? Are they lost in time, 98% of people research and look information up online before wasting time and gas like I did coming from by Downtown Seattle to be told that I'm out of luck. They need better customer service, return phone calls and put some updated information online so people who are wanting to vend don't have to go through the same as I did.

Starlite swap meet is a great place for bargains. However the bathrooms are truely disgusting. I havent any issues with the place. Hoever if I redomend some one to the starlite I would tell then to hold it and dont use the bathrooms there.

The Starlite Swap & Shop is offers up a great assortment of things for buyers and sellers alike. Vendors sell food but I didn't see any soup. However, hot dogs were abundent. As for nuts, lots of them -- the kind that are sold in hardware and automotive stores. While most of the stuff for sale is "traditional" -- used TVs, clothes, military artifacts and the like -- every once-in-a-while something very unique appears in one of the many stalls. For example, I once passed up buying a fully stretched and preserved buffalo hide (way too big for any room in my house!). Another "treasure" I managed to avoid was an "authentic" eye from one of the Cyclops movies. No home should be without one. The Starlite Swap & Shop used to be the Starlite Drive-In. Therefore, lots and lots of space for stalls and parking. They're open rain or shine. If you're into this type of shopping, this is a great place to go.

Starlight swap meet is a great place to go to, to find everything you need. The atmosphere is friendly , and who doesn't like a day finding bargains. I would recommend going here for the prices and just for browsing.

PROS: good prices
CONS:
