Mia Francesca

Mias is always a good choice. The main restaurant is crowded, andthe upstairs has a quieter atmosphere and is great for private parties. There is a small coach house which is a great place to get a drink while waiting for table. The food is consistently good.

Mia Francesca is one of my favorite Chicago restaurants, and of the Francesca family, I think it is the best, with the most consistent food and best service. Although the restaurant is usually crowded and noisy, I love the open and exciting atmosphere. The menu changes weekly, so you can always find something new and different to try. Their pasta dishes are huge and delicious, usually incorporating fresh vegetables and meats, and they offer many other entrees as well. Appetizers are wonderful, including beef carpaccio and a variety of salads. This restaurant can serve as a special occasion or an everyday meal -- come dressed however you like. First-class all around.
