The most affordable breakfast and lunch prices in town, lattes made to order; all served by a friendly, smiling Japanese couple whose aim is to make their customers happy. Highly recommended.

Where to begin? I love this place! Owned and operated by a sweet Japanese couple in their 50s, Sweet Cream is by far the cheapest place to eat a tasty breakfast. Where else can you get a cheese and veggie omelette, bacon, hashbrowns, and toast for $4.75? The husband does all the cooking, with precision and an attention to detail. The omelettes I ordered the first and fifteenth times were all exactly the same, never overcooked or undercooked and made with fresh veggies (tomato or broccoli). For lunch there are sandwiches (turkey, chicken, tuna, egg), wraps, soup, and a pretty tasty burger, all which come with a side of potato or macaroni salad, and again, all at reasonable prices. The coffee side of the operation is OK, by no means competition with Stumptown and their ilk, but satisfying nonetheless. They carry Longbottom Coffee and Espresso, an assortment of Stash teas, chai in three flavors: green, vanilla, and spiced (unfortunately the 1-gallon tub powdered variety), and they make smoothies of some sort. Soymilk is available for an upcharge, and drinks can be made iced. The baked goods are largely homemade, and there are slices of cheescake or pie as well as other dessert items available. The service is excellent and the wife remembers everyone by name and is always cheerful.

Pros: Great service, cheap eats, comfortable atmosphere.

Cons: Mediocre coffee, espresso, and chai.
