Pay cash at this establishment. I've paid with a Visa twice now, same server both times, and she has changed the tip & total higher than I've authorized. Both times I have tipped 20% for service, so I'm a little angry at her audacity and

The Tiger Bar is a classic rock bar on the edge of the Pearl. Cool atmosphere, cool staff, good drinks and good music most of the time.

Read about T-Bar in a music mag long time ago. This time in Stumptown was able to give it a go and I can say the night lived up to the hype. Great music, strong drink, cool crowd, and fine females. Impressive display
of a solid vibe and good fun that was either unavailable or non-existent at other spots I visited. Keep it up - I did!

Not a neighborhood friendly place. Plays loud music constantly, has obnoxious people hanging out outside, and is inconsiderate. The staff inside, as another reviewer states, acts as though they are there as a courtesy to you. Drinks are okay, food is pretty terrible. The crowd, one of Portland's worst.

The atmosphere at the tiger bar is pretty fun and the drinks are good (and typically a good pour). Worth checking out their happy hour - good prices on beer and food. The food is good but a little predictable (an abundance of options are "pan seared"). The staff is friendly and pretty attentive unless it is very busy. They occasionally have good music, but that is very hit or miss.

I just went here for a friend's birthday and it was my first time going. The live band karoke was good, and bad singers were at a minimum. Though I didn't sample the cuisine, the drinks were made well and were reasonably priced. Bartenders and staff were friendly and called me "sweety," which always gets them a plus in my eyes. The only minus is on space, way overcrowded even on a Thursday night and seating was kind of hard to get at times, and although bar staff were doing their best to keep up with the lines, it did take a while to get drinks.

You gotta take the bad with the good
Music is good...Great DJ's
Food is good...very good - - They actually do international cuisine right.
The Crowd is a kinda 3rd rate attempt at 'Hip'.
Take your favorite Soap and make the characters a bit less talented and a lot less attractive.
The waitresses are lame and they act like they are only doing this until their Hollywood "Big Break" (nobody told them that Hollywood is a few hundred miles South..not to mention that they arent hollywood material anyways).
The bartenders are cool though. They make 'em stiff and keep 'em coming....

Portlands number 1 spot for great food and drink. Plus the regularly provide some of Portlands top DJs and electronica acts. More than worth the effort of checking out.

Pros: Top notch food, Progressive music, Fun staff

Cons: Overcrowded at times

Tiger Bar has great service and a slick vibe. The bar is usually crowded, but the crowd is mellow and low-key. It is a great place to stop in for a drink or start a night on the town. I would highly recommend this place to other people.

If you're looking for food at midnight, this popular bar on the edge of the Pearl District offers decent late-night dining, although be forewarned: the kalua pork and sweet potato fries may come with a side of karaoke. Cool patrons packā€¦
