Message from Hilton San Jose

The Hilton San Jose & Towers connected to the McEnery Convention Center in downtown San Jose rises 18 stories above the Silicon Valley. Contemporary architecture awaits you, featuring original artwork from the San Jose Museum of Art. The hotel combines the high-tech excitement of Silicon Valley with genuine hospitality. It is located just minutes from the San Jose International Airport and multiple Fortune 500 companies, as well as walking distance to a variety of venues, from HP Pavillion at San Jose--home to the NHL San Jose Sharks, to the Tech Museum of Innovation, Civic Auditorium, Center for Performing Arts, Plaza de Cesar Chavez and downtown's finest restaurants. You'll find it the perfect destination for business or pleasure.

The Scene
After a long trade show, a hotel connected to the convention center offers convenience for tired meeting-goers. In fact, guests can sneak back to their hotel rooms without setting foot outdoors. Those that need in-house meeting facilities will have access to 16 meeting rooms and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 250 people.

The Details
The hotel's 354 rooms include 15 luxury suites and three floors of Concierge Class rooms with wireless keyboards, high-speed Internet access and VCRs. While some rooms have an attractive view of downtown San Jose, decor is bland, with low ceilings, unadorned walls and bright floral bedspreads in maroon and blue. Despite the uninspired ambience, in-room refrigerators are a valuable convenience and the property's other amenities include a heated indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center.

Key Points

  • Fitness Center, Pool and Spa
  • Banquet Facilities
  • Seven Conference Rooms

The Inside Scoop

  1. Know Before You Go - With a refundable $100 deposit, the hotel permits pets up to 50 pounds.
  2. Look Good - Reserve a room on one of the higher floors for a splendid view of downtown San Jose.
  3. Save Money - If possible, stay during the weekends when rates are drastically reduced by as much as 50 percent.

Hilton -San Jose

by Cathy M. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,246

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large, very clean, with lots of ammenities. We have stayed the night a few times, and have always enjoyed ourselves. The pool/spa area is great. The food was also incredible. I highly recommend this hotel!

This Hilton is a good location in Downtown because it is walking distance to many of the clubs and bars. The hotel is very clean and the service is great.

a good night's sleep

by teresathegreat1

This Hilton recently put in new mattresses and bed linens, and let me tell you, they're heaven. One of the best night's sleep I've ever had, especially in a hotel room (and I'm an insomniac with a bad back). Mattress was soft yet supportive, linens smooth and elegant, pillows not too overstuffed. I am seriously considering getting the same ones the next time I buy a mattress/linens.

Decor is nice, rich colors but not overpowering. Executive breakfast was not amazing but decent, with excellent service of a caliber usually only found in country clubs or classier cruise ships. Parking is ridiculously priced, of course, as at most hotels. Superb view over the valley. Convenient to pretty much anything you could want downtown.
In the still of the night, you can hear the light rail going by, but I found it soothing, like the ocean or crickets.

Pros: heavenly beds, superb view

Cons: it ain't cheap

It DID'NT happen for me at this Hilton

by bigrudy

I am sorry to add this review, however after no valet, and a bellman with "are you gonna ask for help" attitude, I cannot recommend this hotel! The City bar needs to be a little more realistic with the menu prices.
