DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I had to give a star to post this, but they do not deserve even 1 star. They were supposed to clean my carpet, and clean for pet smells and move the furniture. They did not move the furniture, and they did not remove the pet smells. After repeated attempts to get in touch with the owner, over several days, he finally answered and yelled at me for calling him. I had paid for the yearly maintenance, and requested a refund of my money, as I had no intention of using them again. Not only did I not receive my money back, they never returned my calls. I finally turned them in to the Better Business Bureau. I wish I would have checked them out with the BBB before hand. I would have seen there were at least 8 complaints against them. There are now 18 complaints against them and they have an F rating with the BBB. Again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I used Longhorn Steam Team last spring to clean my carpets. They pestered me to death, and kept throwing in free applications to buy pre-paid maintenance until the deal was too good to be true. So I called Longhorn Steam Team in October to schedule carpet cleaning for the Thanksgiving Holidays, when I had plans to entertain family. At that time, I reminded them that I had prepaid cleanings due, in case they had some type of limit to prepaid cleanings only being available at certain times. We set up an appointment at 9:00 am on Monday before Thanksgiving. They called me on the Friday before to confirm the appointment.

On Monday, when no cleaners had arrived by 9:45 am, I called the office. The woman answering the phone informed me that she had been waiting for my call, as she did not have my telephone number, and wanted me to know that the truck that was scheduled to clean my carpets had mechanical problems and had to be taken in to the shop. I thought that was strange, as they obviously had my phone number since they called me the week before to confirm the date. As all the staff was busy that day, we rescheduled for 9:00 am on Tuesday, the next day.

On Tuesday, when no cleaners had appeared by 9:05 am, I called the office and got voice mail. I left a message, asking where they where. I called again at 9:15 and 9:30, leaving messages each time. At 10:15, the owner called me and explained that he had just found out that the team that was scheduled to come to my house had an accident, but he was on his way over to my house at that very moment.

Approximately an hour and a half later, at 11:00, he showed up at my door. He came in and I explained what I needed done, he asked to see my coupon. After looking at the coupon he said he had to go out and call it in. I waited for him to come back in, and after some time I looked out and saw that he had left.

I again tried calling the office to find out what was going on, and again had to leave a message with the answering machine. My husband then called the office several times, and finally got someone to talk to him. Their explanation was that the owner got an emergency hospital call, and had to leave.

At this time we realized that we were not going to get our carpets cleaned by Longhorn Steam Team, and it was obviously too late to schedule with another cleaner. I had moved a lot of furniture on Monday morning which made moving about the house difficult. And I had left it like that for Tuesday morning. I had planned grocery shopping, other house cleaning, yard work, and other errands for the three days before Thanksgiving. Instead I spent two mornings waiting for the cleaning crew at the house and could not even start the house keeping chores since the furniture was moved and I did not want to be in their way.

I have tried calling and reasoning with these people and sent a certified letter, I have never gotten any response.

The owner of this business is a terrible man. I was leaving the Wal-Mart parking lot and he attempted to shove his way into the line with his big van. He almost hit my vehicle. I had my 1 and 3 year olds in the car with me. Once the line started moving, he began to tailgate me and so, I sped up attempting to get away from him. He kept up and continued to follow me. I finally slowed way down and he went around me. When he did, I got the phone number and the plate off of his vehicle. I called the number to place a complaint against the driver...and low and behold, it was the man driving the van...he was the owner. So, he started calling me a fat a**, among other names and cursed me. I hung up on him, BUT I WOULD NEVER ALLOW SUCH AN AWFUL PERSON IN MY HOME TO CLEAN MY CARPETS. If he can't act nicely while driving, then what makes you think he would be any better in a business environment. TERRIBLE!
