The worst experience ever!

we reserved a Ski boat and Ponton boat from 4pm to 8pm (4 hours). At the time when they charge my credit card at front office, they did not inform me that the Ski boat is broken and the Ponton boat has not came back yet until we make to the dock. After negotiated with manager, the Mike guy, he agreed to change our start time from 4pm to the time when we get into water and change our reservation to two Waverunners (Jet Ski) and one Ponton with no additional charges. Of course, he agreed to credit back all of our waiting time. Waited until 5:40pm, after some training on the dock, we finally got into our boats and started our "fun" trip.

About 30 mins ~ 1hr later, we failed to restart the Ponton boat and one of the Jet Ski at the same time in the mid of Lake Travis. Then we called Aquaholics for help, however they could not instruct us to restart both boats either. About 30 mins after that, Police came and saved us. Then Aquaholics staffs arrived without any apologizes. During the time of lost power on both boats, especially with a 6 month old baby on board, we experienced frighten, hopeless, and crying. This is not a fun trip at all!

After we came back to dock, the manager, Mike, said he will call me the next day (May 29th, 2011) to discusses about it. But he did not. After two days of waiting, the day after (May 30th, 2011) at 18:18 I called him. He said these two boats are functional and there are not any issues with them. This is not true! They only thing could happen is that he fixed them!!

This is not a consumer friendly company at all. They advertised as "We Have The Best Boat Rental Rates, Newest Equipment and Best Service in Austin!!", but they are not! Their watercrafts are old, at least the ones rented to us. They refused to take their own responsibilities.

I think our settlements are reasonable, just refund all of our money.

Please stay away from this company! WORST EVER!

We went down on labor day weekend. We rented the boat for a couple hours and was charged $171. After we returned the boat they said they are charging an extra $500 to the card, and won't give us an explanation. The owner said he can charge what ever he wants and has a contract. He even called us "D*CKS" This place is very shady, Our reservation was at 3pm and we did not get our boat till 3:45pm and still was charged for the time we were not on the boat. The employees are rude, and act like they are high while working. I have owned boats, and have rented many boats and never was treated like this in the past. If you want to rent a boat, choose their competitors, anyone is much better then these guys. I am writing this review, 4 days after our experience to cool off, so this is a true review of the company. Worst company ever - STAY AWAY!

Rented a boat and a jet ski. The boat was in poor condition with torn seats and a broken radio - jet ski was new. When asked if they knew how to operate the radio, I was told that they don't guarantee the radio. I also asked for insurance in case of damages, and they told me that it wasn't possible to get any. We anchored the jet ski to a dock for the afternoon, and it scratched the paint where it was scraping a line under the dock. Was charged $1000 to completely repaint it to new condition. I realize it did get damaged, but these are things that happen and the reason rental companies allow you to purchase insurance. I couldn't imagine what would have happened if we would have actually had a major problem - such as the jet ski getting stolen. Be prepared to have enough money to completely buy the boat if something bad and unexpected happens. Also, if you bring the equipment back early due to rain, you don't get your money back, you get a credit. Not impressed

Not only did they refuse to bring us one after we discovered it was missing, but the receptionist made fun of us on the phone when we told her that we were already all the way across the lake and would not come back without a sizable refund. When we returned at the end of the day (a day that was not as fun as it should have been, considering that we had to beg strangers to tie up with them or leave someone on the boat to drive it so it wouldn't drift away), the manager laughed at us as well, stating that an anchor was optional and we should have just let the boat run aground on the rocks. He also refused to provide us with a satisfactory refund or any other resolution.
