Bally Total Fitness in Puyallup is an okay place to work out. It is clean but for months now the dry and wet saunas are not working. They looked like they were going to fix them and pulled everything out, but nothing has been done with if for at least 9 months. They do have nice size pool and a whirlpool. They are both kept in good order. I do go to Ballys. They are very friendly and helpful in there.

This place has really great equipment. They have a variety and aren't always full with people stumbling over each other to use them. Everything is simple to use and it is either air conditioned or heated (whatever the season requires). I would definitely recommend this gym if you want to get in and get exercised and get out. Not all the bells and whistles, but that just makes it more complicated anyways

PROS: Good equipment, easy to use
CONS: Not all "bells and whistles"

This is a newer, cleaner gym than their other location. The setup is different in that there are not really any defined 'rooms'. It is one giant room with areas or sections for each different type of activity. They have all the usual gym equipment - from cardio machines to weights. This location seems to draw a younger, more 'serious' crowd. It can be a little intimidating if you are a beginner. The staff are friendly, but some can be a bit on the 'snooty' side.
Overall, as a gym, they are fine. It just depends on what type of atmosphere you like to work out in.
