My family had a very positive experience with Dr. Neron the new doctor! The office staff was accommodating with our change in schedule. Dr. Neron greeted us with a smile and connected with our little son. He managed to hold his attention

The NEW optometrist at Binyons, Dr. Joe Neron, was incredible in helping me, as well as making my 3 year old's first visit to an optometrist a wonderful experience!
His balance of professionalism, patience and charisma with my 3 year old

I decided to try a doctor at Binyon's that my insurance covered. What a mistake.
For one, the doctor's office isn't even connected to Binyon's. All those great coupons Binyon's offers? ...not even useable with the doctor's there.

I was skeptical to even go here after the reviews... but I am one to root for the underdogs. Again, what a mistake.

After my exam, I was quoted TWICE as much for a box of contacts as what I have paid for Costco in the past. I called to tell them I would like to get my Rx because I really can't pay $29 for a box of contacts that I can get for $14. They then said they might be able to price match. Really? Why would you mark up your contacts more than 100% in the first place? First sign of horrible customer service. Who has gotten screwed?

So I ordered my contacts with just a little over the price match, with the exception that I could at least get a trial pair until they came in because it was a three day wait, and I was headed out of town for a family emergency. Instead of agreeing to giving me a trial pair (keep in mind folks, that these are FREE to them if they "push" the brand product) they said they would call and find out if they could get them "next day". They called me back and confirmed that they would have them by the early afternoon the next day.

At about 4:00, I was still in a meeting at work and worried I wouldn't be back in time to get the contacts so I called them and asked if they could leave my contacts at the Binyon's counter in the mall to pick up, since I was stuck at work and needed them before I left town, so would be there quite possibly after they closed. They actually said no. I thought I was dealing with Binyon's, but they are in no way connected apparently. (except for some way to may money off of each other) I hurried out of work across town, just to get to the dr.s office 10 minutes before they closed. That was when they told me they didn't even have my freaking contacts! I was like, really?

I told the gentleman that I need a pair, because I am leaving town for a funeral and is there any way I could get a back up pair. He said no way because a doctor wasn't there. (Wish I would have known this when a doctor was there at 4, when I called the first time.) I then asked if I could get my Rx to at least go to Costco and get contacts. He said he couldn't do that either without a Dr. there. That's funny because they claimed to mail me a copy of my Rx two days before and I am yet to get it. Isn't that MY prescription? I paid for it damn it!

The worse customer service I have ever encountered. I believe they knew they wouldn't have the contacts in when they billed my insurance, they just wanted the sale. Save your money, even if it is your insurance's. It isn't worth the drama and crappy service.

Cons: Horrible customer service

.

Very poor customer service. I arrived during the lunch hour with one person to help many customers arriving in the store. Many left out of frusteration. The glasses I wanted I was told I couldn't have, with no sufficient explanation. Then I was given an ETA of approx. 4 days, only to receive a call that someone in the store had damaged my glasses and they'd now have to special order, which would take 7-10 days. I called on the 8th day and was told they'd be another 1 1/2 weeks out. No apology from the store rep, no offer of a discount or future discount for other products. The store manager was supposedly on an extended sick leave. I called HQ, only to get the same runaround. I would NOT recommend!!

Pros: Okay selection, location

Cons: customer service, too much time to make glasses

Binyon's optometrist inaccurately prescribed my correction and the fitter missed on my eye-eye distance by several millimeters. Six visits later, I gave up on them ever getting it right.
