classes are OVER CROWDED and if you are not an aggressive person, you are going to get LOT in the shuffle. It was a big waste of money. Daughter came out of there, with NO confidence to go.

Ibleedblackandwhite...do you by any chance have photos of the inside of the school...I'm very interested in enrolling at PMTS in Tampa but I have not moved to Tampa yet and will not be able to see the inside of the school until I'm already enrolled. This would be extremely helpful if you do!!! thanks

I would first love to start out by saying that it is so great to live in this amazing country where people are entitled to their freedom of speech........however, Obi Wan Kanobi , I must say that unless you know the facts, especially regarding legal matters where you contradict yourself repeatedly, your opinion really doesn't mean much.

I am a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School Tampa and I would love to give you MY opinion of MY ACTUAL EXPERIENCE firsthand of the school. I must tell you that 99% of the student body LOVES PMTS! There is always that 1% that had a bad experience, which is bound to happen when you have over 200 females under one roof daily...and to that 1% I am terribly sorry.
For me...PMTS has been absolutely life changing. Funny, I know, to think that a "hair school" could be life changing, but it??s the truth.

I graduated last year and during my time spent at the school, the staff and student body was truly like a second family to me, they were there whenever I needed them through the good, the bad, and the ugly. I remember going through medical problems and having to take a leave of absence when my father was going through surgery for prostate cancer and during these times, I received calls and text messages from staff and management and an envelope full of caring handwritten notes from fellow future professionals when I returned.

As far as education goes, Paul Mitchell the School offers some of the most incredible classes and systems for color, cutting, and finishing hair than any other school I have heard of. There are at least 20-30 future professionals that I went to school with that had left other schools to join PMTS for a better experience and education. I was MORE than prepared to move into my salon when I graduated?.but I put a lot of effort into my education, which not everyone does.

Cons: nada!

My sister recommended the place. I've gone twice and received two great hair cuts. Blow dry, cut and shampoo for only $12. I looked like I had paid over $100. Great products and kind service.

Yeah,
I had a friend that went to school at the school in Tampa, Fl. She said the school was political and the teachers engaged regularly in group harasment of some of the "out" or less popular students. She said the teachers and faculty were unprofessional, eletist and snoby and it reflected in the work and attitudes of the students.
She completed the "entire" program with all the expensive bells and wissles. She is in the process of paying back the over $25,000 in loans incured while in attendance. Oh, if you take out loans with the school, you should check the intrest thay plan to charge you after you hopeful graduate. I've heard horror stories of some student loans jacking up to over $100,000.00 with outrageous intrest and penaties for late pay ect ect ect.. Don't be blinded by the lights camera action; Paul Mitchell is a mega international multi-million dollar corperation. They are out to make money first and foremost.
Also, some of the students have to restart the program if their attendance is not nearly perfect. Oh, she has also seen other less popular students ejected from the program with out reasonable cause because they didn't bow down to the demanding, rude, tyranical management the lords over the establishment at Paul Mitchell the School Tampa. If they object, they are told to read the fine print. They can't even litigate. They are directed to mediation with the company. And when you sign the contract you better grin and bear it becase you are required the pay the $25,000.00 plus any intrest by law even if you don't finish the training or get a licence to practice cosmetology.
P.S. If you find youself being bullied, if you protest mal treatment at all, and the management doesn't seem all that concerned by your protests about being bullied, its a safe bet you'll never hold any signifigant roll in the company even if you do perservere and actualy graduate.
And lastly, there is nothing more pathetic than watching a 45 year old woman in JPMS' Employ with bleach blond hair, in a corset, knee high ass tight mini skirt, and knee high leather boots ganging up with six to eight other students ages 18, 19, 20, and 21 against a single student who has made a life choice not to be a party to the gang bully hipocrate mentality at PMS.

Pros: A Multimillion-dollar Money Grabing Hoard Aglomeration

Cons: Dishonesty in Business Dealings with clients and students.

What a rip off! I spent $60 to get 3 red stripes dyed into my hair. It took the girl 4 hours; so long that she had to rush me out the door without a hair cut or even drying my hair!! She ushered me out the door into the parking lot with dripping wet hair; she didn??t even bother to comb my hair the right way! Thank goodness I had a brush & a hair tie in the car.
The worst part is that after all that I could have done a better job if I had done it myself. You??re better off going to Super Cuts or Fantastic Sam??s at least if they screw up they don??t take 4 hours & 60 dollars to do it.

The student there seem genuinely happy to be there. In my opinion, the technical skill is far greater in graduates from here than graduated from Aveda. I've had my hair done multiple times and I've always been pleased!
