I love Tamura's. The last time I went to Hawaii (Oct 2010), I stayed with my son's family in Hauula. We went to Tamura's Market. I was able to stock up on a few items to take home with me. It's the only place I was able to find the 'passion orange' flavored macadamia nut candies from Hawaiian Sun. Soooo goooood. When the family came to visit me in SLC, they brought me more. The clerks at Tamura's were very friendly and treated me like family.

We visit the windward side of Oahu every year and stay in Laie. Tamura's Market is a home town market and not like the big Foodland in Laie. Tamura's has the flavor of times past with it's deli up front selling local favorites. The store has everything you need plus more. It's a very friendly place and if your'e there long enough, they even remember you. I recommend Tamura's Market because it's local and keeping things local is important. They also have great customer service and everyone there is always happy to help you.
