Ratings_icons Bennetts is awesome!

This fine dining establishment is awesome! Well worth the wait to get in on a busy Sat or Sun night...the personal visits from the chef, host and hostess and friendly waitresses make it a wonderful experience. The prices are right for the portions and quality of food. The seafood dishes we had were fantastic - well prepared and flavored. We enjoyed favorite wine. We will be going back often!

Ratings_icons Amazing Clam Chowder

cheryl v.

At first I thought the price was high, BUT it is well worth it! The clam chowder was so great, it was not runny or thick, it was just right! We went two nights in a row because it was so great. Will stop by every year!! The friendly staff was very helpful as well and always a smile!

We just returned from a 3 day stay at Ocean Acres and Bennett's was recommended to us by our hosts. The service, food, and wait staff were superb! The food was excellent ( as was the wine!) but the friendly service was even more enjoyable. Can't wait to go back there. The price was reasonable for the quality of food and service. Way to go Bennett's!

Ratings_icons Wonderful food!

We just returned home from a week on the Washington Coast. Our family was together to celebrate my husbands retirement and to go fishing on the Advantage out of Westport. We decided to have our retirement dinner at Bennetts which was recommended to us last year by a fellow fisherman. WOW! We had the onion loaf for an appetizer, all nine of us had plenty to taste and what a wonderful beginning to our meal! I had the seafood alfredo which was (I thought) the best thing on the menu! Delicious prawns, scallops, and shrimp, topped with crab and the best alfredo sauce I've ever enjoyed! Some of our party had the captains plate which had the best and most tender clam strips ever. One of our party had the prime rib (she usually never eats all her dinner and ate every bite!) The highlight was having chef Ron come to our table and welcome us. Very nice! There was only one problem, we were so full we couldn't enjoy any dessert!!! Next time we will go to dinner earlier and come back later for the dessert, it sounded exquisite! Very nice to find such a wonderful restaurant for a special party. Thanks Chef Ron and thanks Bennetts.

Ratings_icons Great Food a Great Staff

Enjoyed the food twice while we visited the beach. Once late at night after setting up camp at Grayland State Park and again when family came to visit us while we were camping.

We were greeted warmly and the food was wonderful both times. Be prepared, for it is a bit pricey.

I see there are two "Bennnett's" for this rating site. However, they are for the same wonderful restaurant. My wife and I just returned from reclaiming memories along with Pacific Ocean in Washington and bumped into this fantastic restaurant while enroute to the another wonderful spot, the "Tokeland Hotel," which is another five star establishment.

If you enjoy a casual dining environment but with high calibre menus, this is a must stop for you. The presentation of their items is impeccable. My wife enjoyed a hot mug of apple cider, floating on top were "whole raw cranberries," and the taste was out of this world.

I enjoyed the fish and chips, I figure I am a gourmet when it comes to fish and chips, but ... I mean it ... hands down the darn best fish and chips ever.

My wife Karla enjoyed a very interesting "lunch special." Special hardly connotes what arrived in on the table. A half sandwich of crab cheese that was...I had a bite and dared her to take it back...incredible. The clam chowder is in a class of its own, delicious to the last piece of potato. Included in this "special" was a lively oriental dressed salad with large slices of chicken...oh, so yummy!!

If it wasn't so distracting keeping my wife away from my fish and chips, I think I might have enjoyed her "special" a lot more...just have to save those thoughts until our next visit to 'THE BEST RESTAURANT IN GRAYLAND, WASHINGTON," and probably more importantly, "IN THE TOP TEN OF WASHINGTON," period.

Be sure to stop by and say hi to Chef Ron and his wonderful waitstaff. You will not be disappointed...from the first bite to the last.

Chef Ron, if you're reading this, my friend Ralph from the Falls Terrace in Olympia asks that you catch him at your next visit...however, he's typically off Tuesday and Wednesday...seems to be a chef thing :O)

Ratings_icons Great food, Great service...what a pleasant surprise!

Terri C.

Bennett's served up the best halibut I've had in seven years in the state of Washington. The food was fabulous and the service impeccable. We hadn't expected a fine dining experience along this part of the coast. Combine that with some very restrictive medical dietary needs and the meals I recieve are usually bland at best. Chef Ron catered to my needs as well as the picky palates of our group and came away with a group of dedicated supporters. It was so good we went back for more!!

Ratings_icons Disappointing meal

Bob and Justine S.

After reading the other reviews we looked forward to our dinner at Bennetts. We came at 6:45 PM expected to be seated soon as most of the booths were full but the tables were all empty. The overall place was half empty. It was over a half hour before the host seated us. He seemed to spend too much time chatting up with customers. His excuse for our long wait was that he was too busy tonight because of clam diggers.

The waitress was prompt and the food came quickly. The fish and chips were mediorcre. The Best of the Best - clam chowder - very starchy and lukewarm, chicken cashew cranberry salad - very bland however the crab melt was good. Overall the meal was quite disappointing.

Price was reasonable - about $30 including tip (w/o alcohol or drinks).

We would not eat there again. Will have to drive in to Aberdeen next time to eat.

We were so happy to finally find a restaurant in this area. The people are very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and the food is excellent. This area was in desperate need of a first class restaruant and now they have one. No need to go anywhere else.

Ratings_icons Bennetts, Experience the best seafood restaurant on the Washington coast

Randy F.

Bennetts restaurant was recommended to me by a friend of mine. So my wife and our MooMoo (princess rottweiler) took a day trip to Bennetts restaurant in Grayland, Washington. Wow! What an experience in seafood dining. A cozy looking rustic place located at the south end of town. The staff is very friendly when you walk in to the restaurant and immediately gives you that personal down home and a comfortable experience. Now, to the meal. Start off with some home brewed hot cranberry apple cider to wet your whistle. You won't be disappointed. A very delicious drink to go along with your meal. Next, try the home made clam chowder. This chowder is made the old fashioned way using lots of clams, and fresh potatoes. Your taste buds will explode with this delicious seafood flavor. For the main meal my wife & I each had the seafood captains platter. This platter was generously, and I mean generously presented with fresh home made deep fried razor clams, oysters, shrimp, scallops, Halibut, real mashed potatoes, and fresh steamed vegetables. Topped off with a savourful candied apple garnish. What a seafood tray. Yum! Yum! I'm in heaven. To finish off the meal we had their house specialty dessert. A huge mountainous portion of Bennetts six berry upside cake piled high with fresh home made vanilla bean whipped cream. And, at the center of this work of art was a homemade six berry sauce topped with fresh vanilla ice cream. WOW! Just ordering the dessert is worth the trip to Bennetts. The taste of this dessert is unbelievable. It's that good. Our MooMoo had a huge classic home made American cheese burger without the onions. An excellent looking beef burger. No complaints from our MooMoo. After dinner the very friendly staff and head chef mingles with the patrons and asks them what they think about the meals that have been prepared for them. Of course you know what my wife and I said. World Class Cuisine all the way. All this at a very reasonable price. You won't be disappointed. Believe me; it's worth the drive just to eat at this fabulous restaurant. Remember, Bennetts in Grayland, Washington.
