I received my undergraduate degree from The Alabma State University. I must say that I loved every minute at ASU. The education I received prepared me for the real world. The traditions/ spirit of ASU is second to none. At Alabama State, you will receive love, care, a great education, a home away from home. I WAS BORN TO BE A HORNET!
This historically black college is the last place I thought I would receive a quality education, but life is full of surprises. I can't say enough about the professors and the quality of educational instruction I received. Small classes afford one more personal attention. The administration does lack organization, but if you can wade through all its red tape, the education you receive is well worth the effort.

GREAT university to receive a higher education. Instructors that teach and care. Administration is great........... Glad I attend Alabama State University. It's a family tradition from my grandparents, parents, uncle, Aunts, etc ........... Guess you can say: WE WERE/ARE ALL BORN HORNETS !!!!!

I completed my graduate degree at this school. The only reason I tolerated the poor service was because I wasn't paying for it. If I had to pay my hard earned money, I would have promptly transferred to another school. You basically have to educate yourself because some teachers don't even teach. They expect the students to teach the class. Don't get me wrong. There are some great teachers there, but they are the part time teachers and therefore don't teach a lot of classes. It's a shame that the full time teachers who have all day to prepare lessons are outshone by part time teachers who work another job during the day.

I went to ASU to get a graduate degree. Most of the people there (both students and staff) were nice, but the registration process is horrible. They once lost the record of my payment, and the whole experience of attending ASU made me eager to get out of school and not return.
