I used to go here for lunch, it was very nice. Great food and expierence was a plus. But I re visited on a Saturday around 6:30 Pm. And it was a ghost town. There was one couple getting take out. It was dead silent. The waitress didnt seem like she even wanted to help us, and we were the only customers. After ordering all I heard was the sound of microwave buttons being pushed, if I wanted a microwave dinner i would have went to Fred Meyers. I took one bite and couldnt tell what I was eating. So I got a togo box and left it outside for someone else to retreive. Im not sure if its under new management or what. But it was by far the worst meal I have ever had.

Pros: Location is good

Cons: The Food

Sadly another " real mexican" restaurant, people go there because it opens late at night, but beleive me tacos al pastor doesnt have any taste and it shouldnt came with salsa, I lived more than 20 years in Mexico, and I know how mexican food should taste like , all the soups are good, but tacos not at all.

Pros: good pozole, caldo de camaron, menudo

I have been very saddened by the lack of good Mexican food in the Pacific North West, and finding a solid good place has been difficult, making the Mexican in my sad. But I stumbled upon La Casita a few months ago, and goodness. I am of the firm belief a taco should never cost more than $1.50, and La Casita makes it. Their menudo was also especially good, which has been exceptionally hard to find up here. They even had the bone in the bottom of the bowl. I'm not sure if it's like that every time or if I was just lucky, but that was a huge plus. Their tacos are to die for, their staff is friendly, and the owner is a hoot. The free chips and salsa are quite yummy. Their horchata is also really good, and is topped with cinnamon.

Plus their hours are crazy. Mon - Weds, 11am to 11pm. Thurs - Sat, 11am - 6am (you know, the next morning), and Sunday from 11am to midnight.

I love the insides of the restaurant itself because it's painted in bright blues and greens and reminds me of being back in Mexico.

Pros: authentic food, cheap prices, bright colors!

Cons: spanish mtv or something usually playing not spanish music videos

A friend told me about this place, and one day I drove out to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Order some sangria and a plate of tacos or one of the burritos. You won't be sorry. Prices are reasonable. I think this restaurant is open a little late (by Portland standards), and that is always a plus in my book.

I love this place! They serve delicious meals and great sangria.. They have a good happy hour menu for food items but not for drinks. Margaritas are about $7 while most meals are about $10 on regular hours. But if you can make it in from 4 to 6pm you will get a light dinner for about $3 - $4. I have had great service, great free chips and salsa, and great food every time. However receiving the check seems to be another story. If your in a hurry to leave, you must flag down your waiter to get the check. Otherwise it usually takes a while..

I recently visited there late night with a friend. Their were about 7 people in the place. One of the specials was menudo so I ordered that and a couple of tacos. We waited a good half hour for the tacos, and the soup he ordered. We patiently waited a bit longer for the menudo, but it never came. When we asked the waitress where it was she hadn't realized that we ordered it, even though looking back on her orders it was there. After an hour of waiting and eating the tacos, which were decent, we left. Maybe it was a bad night, but the service was the worst that I've ever seen in Portland.

Pros: , cheap

Cons: , horrible service

I always order the steak burrito with extra cheese. No matter how hungry I am I can never finish the whole thing, they're HUGE and oh so tasty! And thank god it's open 24hrs for those late night gotta-have-a-taco-right-this-second attacks.

After hours is fun too. I can get a quick bite or a large meal. LOVE the fish tacos, a must try and only $1.50! This is one of my favorite places in all of Portland. Great service, great value, great people, and great food.
