Zaika Indian Rstrnt & Lounge

We use Cedars as our benchmark for good Indian cuisine, but Zaika's cuisine was richer and had more dimension. We had the butter chicken and the beef boti kebab accompanied with naan and the tandoori delight appetizer. Chai and Taj Majal beer were also on hand. Although slow at times, the service was good and we will definitely be back for more.

There's only one Indian restaurant in my neighborhood and thank god it's this one! I've had Indian food all over town because I enjoy it so much, the u district, Queen Anee, Capital Hill, Lynnwood...and this one tops them all. I love the butter masala. It is fanastic and with your choice of spicyness level you can get it mild or really spicy depending on your preference. Everything there is made when you order so it comes to the table hot and fresh everytime. The garlic naan and the paneer nan are to die for! Great for scooping up left over sauces!! The restaurant is spacious and the owners and staff are very helpful and nice. Oh, yeah, almost forgot the Mango Lassi--perfection in a glass. Plus, there's a full bar :) I've come here on dates, with family and with friends. In fact a girl friend and I come here at least once every two weeks for a girls night out dinner! We love it and keep coming back for more!

I am a regular customer at Zaika's. I love the food, enjoy the buffet regularly, and like the owners and ambiance. The owners are polite and courteous. The regular menu is great for vegetarians, are large portions for the prices, which I have discovered by eating at some of the other Indian restaurants at ngate, udistrict and in lynnwood. The food is fresh and always served hot. A few of my favorites are palak masala with lamb (so tender), tandoori chicken tikka, codfish pakora, and coconut curry with chicken. The new dish paneer masala is excellent, so are the samosas. Royal Birhyani is delicious with any of the meats or seafood, I have tried them all. They have a nice selection of nan breads served with chutney & plum sauce if requested. I love spinach & paneer nan, and garlic nan. They also serve food in the lounge and provide entertainment. Reduced menu after 10:00 pm, but nice selection, and additl food specials. Still served hot until 1:30 am most evenings. I highly recommend eating the delicious food at this restaurant. Take a minute and talk to the owners, they are friendly, appreciate feedback, and truly appreciate their customers. There is much more to this fine establishment than the delicious food.

I am writing to let you know about an exceptional Indian Restaurant named Zaika which is located at 14622, 15th Avenue NE Shoreline. As a 90 year old, I have lot of experiences and tastes behind me, as far as trying different foods from different countries. My Son has taken me to a number of Indian Restaurants in the Seattle/Eastside area, and I must say this place is far ahead of all others when it comes to the quality of food and service. The flavors are authentic and exquisite in taste. Some of my favorites are the butter chicken as well as the spinach saag. The lamb and prawn curry as well as other types of curry dishes are mouth watering. We go there often and every time we leave very satisfied with both the food and the service. My friends and family are always looking forward to going back to Zaika for great tasting Indian food.
