Came here one evening for a graduation dinner toward end of May '09 w/ large group of 14+ folks, & actually had pretty damn good customer service! RSVP was for 8pm & surprisingly enough most family members & friends came on time (w/ the exception of like 4-5 peeps). Nonetheless, we had about 2-3 servers checking in on our entire party throughout the course of our meal...polite, thorough, & pleasant was the service we got considering it was a busy evening for this staff w/ another large group dinning in close by in addition to their normal "dinner crowd". Ok, this place was very busy last night & I say the servers, cooks, & rest of the staff was doing a great job maintaining customer service!

Now onto the food...it was deeeelicious of course! I've yet to go to an Elephant Bar & be displeased w/ food & drinks, but if I ever do, u'll see my review ;-) Me & bf went "non-alcoholic" this time w/ Mango-Raspberry Swirl & Pineapple Freeze both good, but I'd recommend the M-R Swirl ;-) Nachos Appetizer for both ends of the table pleased everyone as a starter. Then my Shrimp and Chicken Jambalaya w/ Brown Rice arrived...my palate & my tummy was pleased yet once more. Actually I prob wouldn't have mind more cheese bread to saap up my jumbalaya juice...yeeah, daddy taught his lil' girl to get a piece of bread & get all that goodness up from a plate (LOL). Only ate half; other half came home w/ us & we've got some garlic cheese bread in the fridge anywho =p Back to the dinning experience, our cousin ordered the Big "E" Sliders... these lil' suckers are NOT lil' actually...just a step down from a the size of McD's Cheeseburger. Overall everyone was pleased w/ their meals!

This area gets A LOT of foot traffic due to other vendors in the area (AMC Theater, Cold Stone, CPK, PFChangs, Barnes & Noble, Tea Cake Bakeshop, IKEA, & more). Large garage parking area ($2/2hrs I recall)...option to pay vending machine b4 u go back 2 ur car or pull up to guy/gal in toll upon garage exit & pay them. Plenty of other restaurant shops to check out and/or shop around. As far as this E-Bar tho, we had an overall good time w/ each other, food, service, & location!

Pros: Outdoor seating, lively bar area w/ flat screens, & spacious

Cons: No vendors in shopping area validates garage pking ticket

The food was disappointing. Not nearly as good as the other Elephant Bar Restaurants that we've frequented in Campbell and Fremont. There were 5 of us celebrating the Holiday Season, so we had 5 different dishes on our table to sample. Unfortunately I would not recommend this location for a meal. The service was good, of course the same Safari theme, I would consider the restaurant for drinks, but not a meal.

Pros: The service folks were very attentive

Cons: The food "the main" purpose for a restaurant

I checked out the menu and thought it seemed like a lot of variety and something to try out. It was walking distance from my hotel, so thought I'd give it a try. In all...it was about what I expected. The menu is voluminous, and unfortunately I had a taste for the salmon...but learned it was farm-raised. Again...not too disappointed, as I wouldn't expect a place like this to have the best of the Pacific Northwest waters.

So...ordered the macadamia-crusted fish and chips, to which the server generously substituted the fish for steamed veggies. The salad which preceded was huge, and great. The Brazilian drink from the bar was good and the wine was a nice-sized pour. All in all the service was very good and attentive.

The only complaint - and places like these cater to large, rambunctious groups, was the noise level and chaos. Not the best for a single diner from a business hotel looking to catch-up on reading. I was seated to a very large birthday group with two obnoxious and ill-behaved kids. But again, it is what you would expect and there's nothing the restaurant can do about that, except maybe seat a single person predictably away from the large, annoying group.

Cons: Very loud, not a place for a single diner with a good book
