I like going to A La Mode Hair Studio in Glendale, they offer an exceptional service! The fees are in-line and the intimate atmosphere is very inviting. It's the personal, no rush attention that always assures me that every time I'm there, I am in good hands! They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable at the salon and assure that you?re happy with the final result. I've walked out each and every time feeling 100% satisfied with my hair -- and I'm very particular..
Give them a try if you're looking for something different, are dissatisfied with the service you're currently receiving, or just want to feel like a million bucks. Not only do they do great hair, but they have created a friendly and fun environment where everyone is made to feel special and pampered. They have a fine selection of hair products as well. I've never gone wrong with any of their recommendations.

I've been going by Alina for a few years and I still enjoy every visit. She is very sweet and friendly. She has been highlighting m? hair as well as p?tting on hair extentions, and my hair looks amazing. The salon is a very lively and has a great atmosphere. If you want to look great go to A La Mode.

I heard about Alina through other friends that she does Brazilian blow out. I had heard about the blowo ut but wasn't sure what it really was. So, I made an appointment with her to find out more about the blow out. She was very informative of the product and explained the steps very professionally. After 20 minutes of her answering my 20 questions I went ahead and made an appointment to go back for my blow out. When I arrived at the salon Alina and her staff, very professionally, greeted me and asked me if I want something to drink, you don't get this kind of service in a lot of salons now days. I waited for about 5 minutes and Alina had her assistant wash my hair, and she started on doing my blow out. Within 90 minutes my hair was so straight and so soft I couldn't stop touching it. It truly was EVERYTHING she had said it would be and much more. What I really like about Alina was that she followed up with me couple of days later to see how I like my blow out, and if I have any questions. Again, you don't get that kind of service a lot now days. That to me showed that Alina cares about her clients. I would 100% recommend her for ANYTHING because she knows what she is doing, especially on the Brazilian Blow Out!!!

I went to A La Mode when I was trying to find a stylist for my wedding. I went in for a test run and loved the results. My hair turned out phenomenal on the day of. My hair was done by Alina and she also did my coloring. She did the most amazing shade of red. If you've done red hair before, you know how hard it is to get a true color. I loved it so much that I recommended her to my friends in the wedding party. The way she mixes color is amazing. I have yet to find a better colorist (and I have been to a lot of places). My only disappointment is that I don't live in the area anymore and can't get my hair done by her. She also gave me great advice on hair extensions. She could have plugged her own services but instead gave me honest advice re clip-ons b/c I didn't want to actually get extensions. As a bonus, she was great and easy to talk to. If you are trying to find a new stylist, this is definitely the place to go.

Alina is incredibly attentive to your wishes and needs. You have but to walk into her salon and immediately you are welcomed and offered refreshments. She listens to your hair desires and delivers exactly what you had imagined. Her salon is elegant and comfortable.
Alina's hair and personal style is always impeccable, (always choose a stylist who's own hair is fabulous!!!!)

Alina has been cutting my hair for about a year now and I'm very happy with her services! She is very professional but most of all, very friendly. She knows exactly what I want every time I go in. Her salon has a warm and inviting environment...I love going in there. Her assistant Rosie is so sweet and is constantly offering me coffee, fruit, and water and alwyas making sure I'm very comfortable. Alina is good at what she does and is constantly taking courses to keep up with the latest trends. She is worth every penny and I highly recommend her to anyone. She also did my wedding hair and makeup and she treats her brides with top quality service!!! My matron-of-honor and I were both very impressed with her services! I went to 4 or 5 hairstylists in the Glendale area when I moved there over 2 years ago. By FAR, Alina was the best! A La Mode is very inviting with a great atmosphere, the employees are all very friendly, Alina is an amazing sylist with a great aesthetic, and I've always gotten compliments after getting my hair cut there! My sister loves going there too. Even after moving to a new city this past month, she still HAD to have her hair done only at A La Mode :D

Great experience at this salon! A La Mode studio is one of the BEST salons I have been to in quite a while. Very warm and cozy. It is all about personal touch and attention. The owner Alina is a very talented artist in her forum and makes you feel at peace and comfort in her chair. Love her personality! This page is definitely manufactured. I went to this salon because it has so many great reviews and I was thouroughly disappointed. I asked for sunkissed blonde highlights, especially around my face and I got very thin, ashy highlights that looked gray. It was awful. I walked out of the salon looking and feeling worse than when I came in. I didn't say anything because after seeing the end result, there was no way I wanted Alina touching my hair again. I immediately got the highlights fixed at another salon. Don't be decieved by these fabulous reviews.

I recently had the pleasure of having my hair done at A La Mode. Being VERY picky about my hair and who touches it, I was definitely a little hesitant to try someplace new. But to my surprise, it turned out BETTER than I expected!!! A La Mode is by far the best place I've been to; I will be going there from now on!!!

ps- I noticed a negative comment on here from another person. Anyone with at least SOME intelligence knows that NO business will make 100% of it's customers happy. If you look at the positive reviews vs the negative, I think it's fair to say the quality and service is undoubtedly TOP NOTCH-- 98% of the customers are giving 5-star ratings.

A La Mode is awesome I recommend anyone that needs a haircut, trim, color or if you have a special engagement. My fiance and I both go there and we love it! Alina is amazing, rare talent, she really knows how to visualize what looks good on women and for men well she can give you the hair style you only thought about when you looked in magazines.

Words cannot describe how much I love this salon, even though I've been here only twice. Both times were special occasions (portraits and prom) and both times I've walked out of this salon looking gorgeous and getting exactly what I wanted. Although I couldn't thoroughly explain what I wanted to do with my hair or makeup, Alina and Matt understood and surprised me by making me look even better than what I expected. The second time I came was to get ready for prom, and since Alina was away, Matt did my hair and makeup. I looked SOO pretty, and I seriously wish I could look the way Matt did my makeup everyday. They are fun and cool to talk to, and I highly HIGHLY recommend them for very special occasions if you need to look your best. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Alina is AMAZING! Really, what more needs be said? I went to her after moving back to California and seeing that all my old hairstylists were no longer in business. I went to her after reading the reviews on Citysearch - and they're all true! Her hair cut just always brings out the best in my hair, my facial structure, everything! Very easy to care for and the cut really holds its shape in between cuts. What more can you ask for? Besides, Alina is just plain fun to talk to and her salon is great. Like icing on the cake (or is that a la mode???).

I recenty moved to Glendale and just knew I would have to keep driving to Beverly Hills to have my hair cut correctly. Fortunately, I've found the only place I plan on getting my hair cut for some time to come. The staff is friendly, the salon itself is clean, quaint and contemporary, and the cuts I've recieved so far have brought me lots of compliments. I even came in last minute before attending the Academy Awards and there was no problem making room for me... and walking out with a cut worthy of the red carpet. so, i have been to so many G town salons and sorry to say, they are stuck in the 80's. i was referred to Matt by a co-worker after having seen her highlights that he did. he does the damn thing so well- it just blends. none of that tacky, thick, stripy look stuff going on. I have the most beautiful blond color now even though i am naturally a brunette. He referred to it as a "sunkist" blond and there is no other better word. the guy knows his stuff and i will be the next person to refer him my contacts. the receptionist there is a sweetheart and tended to my every need. strongly recommend!!!!

I have been getting compliments on my hair ever since I first started seeing Alina 3 years ago. That's why I'm a loyal customer. She does my hair exactly how I request it, and it looks fuller and healthier every treatment. I have jet black hair which she has taken to light blond. I have requested it it various shades of blond, brown, and red, and I have never been disappointed. The best part is it always looks so shiny, like I have gold in my hair. On top of all that, Alina is a wonderful, sweet person, who remembers all your stories and treats you like a friend!

I'm new in California and had been looking around for a good salon. It was nerve wracking finding somebody to take care of my hair since I was with a good stylist back in my old home town. She took care of my hair (cut,color,styling) for the last 5 years. I was pretty happy with her. Good thing I found Alina through city search and all the raving reviews about her are simply true! I set an appointment with her for hair cut and color and she was very warm and pleasant on the phone. She gave me an estimate of how much it was going to cost which took out some of my apprehension. I didn't want to spend an exorbitant amount on my first appointment!
When I got there, the place was very pleasing to the eye. Alina greeted me like I was an old customer and asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. She was honest and gave me me her opinion and made suggestions. Her staff was very professional and friendly and they make sure you are comfortable and taken cared of all the time.
Alina is great with her customers. I had a grand time. We talked about a lot of stuff and I felt relaxed and at ease. She is so funny too! My hair looked amazing after. Definitely going back for another appointment. This is theraphy for me.

Great exsperience at this salon! First time, had a cut and color from one of the stylists, so I went back for hair exstension a few months later. Alina did my exstensions 16' and matched my hair color perfectley (dark brown with a few lower tones). The studio is inviting, with a front porch to go out on if you want to step out while your waiting for your color to process. Alina is nice and cares about what she does and it shows. Also, Matt does awesome styles for men, I watched as he did four cuts, also her assistants are very sweet. Thanks alot Alina ;)

I love, love, LOVE Alina! She's the best. I've gone through a ton of hair stylists and she's the one I'm sticking too. She's super friendly and super talented! I love talking to her and I love the way she does my hair. I got a bad layering haircut when I was in high school at some other salon and vowed never to do that again but with much push from my friends and hubby I tried it again thinking it'll grow out if I hate it.......SO since I trusted Alina, I decided to come to her with the idea and she thought it'd look great on me. And she was right! She did the best job to it! I have really thick hair and I'm asian and Alina gave me layers without it making me look like your typical Asian from HK or wherever (no offense, that look's just not for me). I loved the style so much that I'm going back agian to get the same thing! She also helped me get the best Red color without making me look like I stepped out of a cartoon. And it lasts for a long time too! And believe me, with my super dark black hair, it's hard to get it to change to any color, let alone have the red last for more than a week. Anyways, I can't afford to go to the hair salon very often (and with this economy, who can these days), but Alina's prices are very reasonable and she'll never judge you and she'll always greet you like a long time friend, whether you visit her every few weeks, every month, or even every year. My mom never let me dye my hair until I was 18, so on my 18th birthday after reading the reviews left on this site, I decided to go to Alina to devirginize my hair. I never regretted that decision, in one sitting I went from dark brown to a beautiful shade of blonde and all of my friends were amazed at how by dying my hair ONE TIME it could come out amazing. The second time I dyed my hair, I made the mistake of letting my beauty school student friend dye it for me...BIG BIG MISTAKE. I was bleached overprocessed blonde/orange/brown and I went back to Alina hoping for a miracle, and ofcourse I got it. She somehow changed my 3 tone hair color into an even beautiful red color. The story goes on...then I went on a trip to cancun (constantly swimming in the ocean+pool+scorching sun, so salt water+chlorine+sun=disaster) I came back and my hair was pretty much blonde black brown orange red and every color in the rainbow. I doubted that it could be fixed, cause I had screwed my color up pretty bad this time. Alina just looked at me like "Anya not AGAINN" but ofcourse a little while later my hair was a gorgeous deep shade of red, no trace of the colors of the rainbow. I'll never let anyone else touch my hair. She is an amazing and gifted colorist ,stylist, miracle worker etc , and not to mention her personality is THE BOMB. Everytime I go back I just tell her to do what she thinks will look good...that is how much I trust her judgment and she ALWAYSS makes my hair look better than I could have ever imagined.If I could give one thousand stars I would , but 5 is the maximum. Alina and A la Mode studio is the best place in LA for hair hands down. I found Alina on Citysearch when I was thinking of extensions. When I went for the consultation, I knew immediately from how Alina talked about hair that she was the gal for me. Since then, I have come to know her work more and more. Her color is spot on, her cuts are excellent and she does amazing extensions. But, the best part is Alina. Visiting her salon is just that; like a visit with a good friend, who just happens to have the talent to make my hair look fantastic. I have never, ever, walked away feeling anything but great about the experience. Her salon is professional, inviting and warm. I've been to some of the best known and priciest salons in LA, NY and SF and would much rather go to Alina than any other. For all the glamour of well known-high priced, salons they are, to be frank, not worth the coin. For the average girlie-girl gal like me, I find the intimacy of A LA Mode much more satisfying and I always come out feeling like a Supermodel. Alina is not only an excellent stylist; she is a wonderful person, who is a great role model for all small business owners. She knows her clients, she knows what looks good on them, and she knows how to take care of them. Everyone (both men and women) whom I have seen Alina work on look great when she done working her magic. You can't go wrong with Alina; she is simply the best for my money.

I recommend A la Mode Hair Studio to everyone (men and women). The owner, Alina, is very pleasant and always welcoming. She constantly keeps up what is new and the trend. She listens and pays special attention to how you want your hair to look, but if you are undecided she guides and helps to make the best choice for you. I have been in her salon numerous times for color, highlight, cut, and eyebrow waxing. I always leave her salon with a big smile :) The staff is very nice and courteous. This is a special place if you care how you look! As simple as that.

This was my first time at the salon and I was in need of major hair color correction. My hair had turned orange, red and brown because my previous stylist messed up big time. It took two hours to fix, but every minute spent there was worth it. My hair color is not only back to my regular dark brown, but it actually feels softer and looks shinier that it ever has when colored. Matt was great. He is a genius with color as far as I'm concerned. While I was there, Alina took care of 4 or 5 clients, and their hair cuts, styles, color, came out beautiful. I was quite impressed with her as well, eventhough she didn't work on my hair, all her clients looked amazing when they walked out the door. Worth every penny.

I have been getting my hair done for as long as i can remember, and i have never been more satisfied with my color and cuts then i am now. I have been going by my hair stylist Matt for almost a year now and i love the work he does. I have followed him from the beginning of his career, and things have only gotten better. He is an amazing person, along with his hair and make up skills. He takes his time on his clients, and makes sure they are perfect. even if you think your hair looks amazing he goes over the hill and wont stop until his work is perfected. I leave the salon feeling like a brand new person and wish i could do it everyday.

I'll make this short and sweet. I am an ex-hairdresser. I loved the industry, but not working in the salon. I moved to Los Angeles four year ago and still remember the first time I walked into A La Mode. Unpretentious, courteous, friendly. I have found a hairdresser for life in Alina. She ALWAYS takes the time to talk with me about what I want to do. She treats not only me, but also everyone who walks through her door as a friend and valued customer. Her skills are some of the best I have experienced. Long and curly styles, short precision cuts, subtle highlights, funky color; she can do it all, and do it well. This girl has risen to the top of her field, owns her own business, and is flooded with loyal clients. Her prices are affordable, and she never pressures you to but products. Absolutely perfect in everyway.

I first went to Alina for a haircut about a year ago & she did a great job. My hair was in terrible shape from over-straightening & she made it healthy and bouncy. She recommended great products and completely rehabilitated my hair. When I decided to get hair extensions, I went to her because I had seen her work and trusted her. Not only does she use the best hair, but she is amazingly skilled. Nobody has any idea I have extensions and when I tell them they dont believe me. I used to go to Frederik Fekkai in Beverly Hills - Alina is better.

On top of all of that, her shop is adorable, she is great, and her prices are reasonable.

After being continually disappointed by my old salon on a whim one day I decided to try out Alina. I haven't had a great stylist in years after losing my longtime one. After years of searching for someone fabulous, I need look no more because Alina is amazing. She's actually better than my old stylist which is saying a lot. It's hard to find someone that is great at doing color and cutting hair. She excels in both areas. It also helps that when you are in her chair she is fun to talk to... it's as if you are spending the afternoon with a good friend. All in all you can't go wrong by seeing Alina and I am quite confident that if you've been searching for someone great, your search will end after seeing her.
