The best primary care physician in Tulsa
by Maren B.
Dr. Wiseman is the primary care physician for all 3 members of my family. We all have been highly impressed with his ability to diagnose quickly and accurately. He explains the condition and treatment options as if he were a friend sitting in our living room. He speaks in layman's terms. He uses humor and a down to earth manner to make patients feel welcomed and comfortable. He always takes plenty of time to discuss my health concerns. I appreciate that he recommends home remedies when possible. Dr. Wiseman's nurses are equally friendly and helpful. There is a lab in his office, and also a bone scan machine. Nice not to have to go to another building for those needs. I have always received exactly the help I needed when I have visited his office, and have felt like a valued customer and friend. i can't imagine a better primary care MD.

INTERNAL MEDICINE SPECIALIST IN MIDTOWN
by Juliana J.
I've been a patient of Steven Wiseman for more than a decade. He consistently takes whatever time may be necessary with each and every patient, which is a pretty good prescription for wrecking havoc on any schedule. *** *** *** Before deciding to see him, in the beginning, I was able to research his education and experience up to that point. The information I found indicated Wiseman completed his internship at Mayo Clinic. He's clearly at the upper edge of the bell curve of intelligence, yet there's nothing arrogant or self-important about him. Never have I felt demeaned, or talked down to, in any way. He knows how to speak in layman's terms, and seems to stay current on changes in medicine, research, treatments, and medications. He's helped me through major medical needs and decisions in connection with elective procedures. I've sought his advice for health maintenance issues, speciality referrals, and proactive treatment plans in connection with acute issues. *** *** *** Regarding the reviewer who to date has never successfully seen Dr. Wiseman, and to anyone else to whom timely appointment times are particularly important, I've learned to ask the staff, and consider booking times following their suggestions. Often the first appointment of the day, the last appointment before lunch, the first appointment after lunch, and the last appointment of the day are more likely to run closer to scheduled. *** *** *** The facility at 1435 S Utica Avenue is right off the Broken Arrow Expressway. As its own stand-alone building there's never any parking problems. The practice, Tulsa Health Group, also offer's their own on site lab services, which means I don't have to go to the hospital or another medical office building to have blood drawn or for other tests to be performed. *** *** *** Health care is a constant challenge, it seems. We all have to stay engaged, proactive, and remember WE ARE THE CONSUMERS. It may not be Burger King, but within reason we should still be able to 'have it our way'.

Buyer beware
by Marc M.
I heard that Dr. Wiseman was a great doc, but I don't know because both times that I went to him I didn't see him. The first visit I was forgotten about in the exam room and had to unlock the front door to let myself out. The second attempt I came 15 minutes prior to my appt time and waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes past my appt time and could not wait any longer.
