Jared Galleria Of Jewelry

The Jared Galleria of Jewelry store in the Wegmans plaza on Walden in Cheektowaga NY, IS a really nice store. Large watch selection, large jewelry selection but the customer service needs work. Walking into the store one is bombarded with bored sales associates asking if you need help. On a recent visit I was asked by 3 different people multiple time if I was looking for anything. I said each time that I was just looking. One sales person in particular was arrogant and pushy. This person must immediately come over and shake your hand, I do not personally want to chake some weirdo's hand. When I refused and said just looking he walked away making some sort of coment under his breath. I eventually found somthing I liked took a look at it and then asked the sales person, - (not the shake yer had guy) about other options. This other person was helpful. The pushy shake yer hand guy just had to come ofer and show me irrelevant things of which I had allready ruled out! At this point I was getting agrevated. I was looking for specific, chain thickness, metal etc. Shake yer hand guy just had to take out dainty pieces to show me and say how wonderful they were. In closing I really do love the jared store, but would probably recommend shopping elsewhere for jewelry due to the overwhelming sales person to customer ratio and the arrogance of some of them. If I say once "just looking" then they should be able to get it through their skulls unless I request help, which I eventually did from a different sales person. If I ever do go back in there again I will make it a point to avoid shake yer hand guy.

Pros: on site repairs, lotsa parking, swiss watch selection

Cons: pushy bored sales people, unlike other jewelry stores expect to pay full price no price knockdowns like I found at other stores when interested in an item
