Om Spa

too loud... not clean... bad service... great massage... not so nice people... they think they are all that... especially the gay guy in the lobby... lori the woman who gave me massage was pretty nice yet not friendly enough... i was told that michigan people were nice... well not at omspa.. they really need to work on their customer service... its a place where you relax and enjoy... not a place where you are treated not so amicable and looked down...

i heard so many nice things about this spa i decided to give it a try - that was years ago and i've been a loyal customer ever since! i've tried the majority of their treatments, and i highly recommend the thai body masque and scrub (a vichy treatment - so yummy smelling!) surf and sand mani/pedi, and the yothai treatment facial. I've also had 3D lashes done by courtney, and everyone commented on how i looked like a movie star! i've never had a bad experience here, the staff is always warm and friendly. jill is the best massage therapist in michigan!

Hi I went for the first time today to om spa and i have to say it is amazing the people working there were very nice the relaxation room was wonderful the locker room could have been bigger but no big deal. I was very nervous getting spray tanned before my brothers wedding i was afraid of how is was going to turn out didn't want to look Orange or have spot but since i was white as a ghost i decided to take a chance now 8 hrs later after a shower i look great I'm so happy i did I'm glowing thanks om spa i will be back for other treatments

I visited the Om Spat today for a prenatal massage. The staff was very nice. The changing area was very small, with only one bathroom and one shower. The lockers are right in front of the door, so the apologetic staff is swinging the door in at you often. The relaxation/waiting area was very small also, and it was sort of hard to relax when you're sitting right next to multiple other people. I would have liked a cup of tea, but if there was decaf, I didn't see it. The massage itself was nice, but the first half of it I was on my back. My problem with that is that anyone over 4 months pregnant isn't supposed to lie on their back at all. I am 36 weeks pregnant, and the weight of the baby kept me from relaxing until I asked that my back be elevated (seems like that should be standard procedure for a prenatal massage?). I was also really disappointed that the massage didn't include the feet. Goodness, as a pregnant woman who has gained 25 pounds and has swollen feet, I was looking forward to that the most! That being said, the massage was fine . . . just not what I would have expected for a "prenatal massage".

I took advice from a friend and had my first appt. at Om Spa. I was in desperate need of a little R/R. My facial was fabulous, probably the best I've ever had (Neem Facial); I practically melted in the sheets. I next enjoyed an array of scrumptious treats and wonderful tea in the relaxation lounge. My massage followed and I was like a limp noodle. Thanks to Kelly my friend and thanks to Om for an overdue treat!!!!

I just got back from my first massage at Om Spa. While the massage itself was wonderful (thanks Lori!), there were a few strange things about the environment. The lobby was crowded and disorganized. I wondered if I was in the right place for a moment. After standing in line, I stated my name and appointment time and then was asked to stand there and fill out a form in the crowded lobby. While standing in line again to submit my form someone from the back came out and took my form and led me to the locker room. The locker room was very small and in a rather odd location. It seemed that if the locker room door opened at the same time as the lobby door then I would be giving everyone quite a show. I opted to change in the one bathroom stall. Next I went to the "relaxation" area where it was quite noisy. I could not only hear the conversations of the pedicure/manicure patrons, I could also hear their nails being clipped! I couldn't help but laugh. Thankfully the massage with Lori was very relaxing and I even chatted with a few nice women in the locker room. Can't help but chat when you are disrobing practically on top of them. I will go back because I have $25 left on my gift card. I'm hoping my manicure will be wonderful.

What a relaxing experience -- Thank you Om Spa for the opportunity to relax and undergo a wonderful and therapeutic massage amidst the holiday hustle and bustle. Everthing was first class - particularly enjoyed the tea!! and treats in the relaxation room. I cant wait to come back.

Difficult place to relax when the customer does not come first. Management and owner are not reasonable people do deal with at all. You have to wonder how a place can stay in business when they treat the consumer like they are insignificant. Horrible business.

After receiving a gift cert for a birthday gift, I booked my pedicure. I was greeted and treated nicely in the lobby, however, when the nail tech took me back to the ped room, she didn't say a word and pointed to the chair. I asked for some tea and she pointed me to where it was. Most of the service, she talked to the other nail tech and her customer, laughing and joking, I almost felt invisible. The service was complete in 1/2 hour, very quickly and when i got home, I checked it out fully. I still had some dirt under my one toe nail and the paint job was horrible. It was the worst pedicure I ever had, I will never have another one there. Too bad I have more gift certs, I am going to try a massage, hope to have better luck!

I am a frequent business traveler and after a recommendation from the concierge at the Ritz - I decided to give Om Spa a try. I sure am glad I did. Not only is the space utterly Zen-like but my massage and facial were out of this world. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. The Relaxation room with their gourmet teas and edibles was superb. After a stressed out week on the road -- This is exactly what I needed. Way to go Dearbon and thank you for OM SPA!!!

I was so excited to visit Om Spa after reading all the great reviews and hearing that they were Hour Detroit's spa of the year. What a world class spa! Very relaxing environment and the entire staff was so accommodating. Highly recommend.
