a TRUE YOGA experience  5 Star Rating - World class

I love East Eagle Yoga! The instructors are true yogis, knowledgeable in both the spiritual and physical aspects of yoga. Everyone is always welcomed and no matter what class you attend you are never made to feel as if you are in the "wrong" class because you're not flexible enough or strong enough or spiritual enough; the true spirit of East Eagle Yoga is that you ARE worthwhile and that there is a light within you no matter what kind of day you're having! Every time I walk in feeling down in the dumps or tired and exhausted, I always walk out feeling serene and positively energized!

They have beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. If you feel that you need a physical workout to go along with your spiritual "workout", just try Nicole's Vinyasa classes! I have seen the strongest-looking people walk out of there drenched in sweat from the rigors of the class. And, if you have never done yoga and want to try it out in a safe and comfortable atmosphere, try one of Joe's beginner classes - he will guide you through the breathing, stretching and meditation exercises with his serene voice and gentle way. Devon teaches Vinyasa on Tuesday nights and occasionally subs for Joe or Nicole and she is very sweet and attentive to her students.

The classes are certainly reasonably priced and multi-class packages are available, so you can attend a 1.25 hour class for as little as about 10 bucks! If you can, the weekday morning classes are great to attend since not everyone can attend them due to work/school. But even when a class is full, you never feel like you're crowded in because everyone is very nice and cares to make sure that their neighbors have enough space. You can bring your own mat or borrow one there. If you are new to a class, just show up a little bit before so that Nicole and/or Joe can get to know you a little and help you get settled in and meet the other attendees. That's the thing about East Eagle Yoga, you get to know the people there and they get to know you and it's a very welcoming environment. Joe also does massage with a true mind/body knowledge that is unparalleled. And Nicole does health and nutrition counseling - also very good to help you keep your body and spirit strong and well. Lastly, they now offer yoga teacher training, which I wanted so badly to do but couldn't due to my new job. However, it seems very thorough and focused on all of the spiritual, physical and nurturing aspects of yoga. And, again, all of these things are reasonably priced for what you get in return. I highly recommend East Eagle Yoga and am so glad that I walked in the door that first time!

Awkward location  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I really like the actual classes at East Eagle yoga - the teachers are nice, the times are convenient. I was a little bummed when I was pregnant that they didn't offer any sort of prenatal and/or mom&baby classes. But the location is *terrible!* The gauzy curtains over the windows do little to offer privacy from the street and the studio is really narrow, making a more crowded class feel even tighter. Parking right there is awful - you have to go around the corner to the municipal lot, which isn't really that big. Their pricing is fine, and because I live so close I'll happily keep going there, but it's a shame that they don't have better space.
