Alterations.Olga.

After having bought a gorgeous designer head-to-toe lace wedding dress with a very heavy price tag, the dress shop didn't want to do any tailoring. I thought maybe it was just me, that the dress looked okay, but once my mother saw it (about a month and a half before the wedding, she lives in CA) she laid down the law, told me that the dress was beautiful but horribly ill-fitting and that I had to take the dress somewhere else. I found Olga through her glowing internet reviews and she squeezed me in... the first time I did a fitting with her she took in about an inch on either side of my dress, and inch in the back of the dress... and started pinning and fixing things I didn't even know needed fixing! For the next two fittings, she squeezed me in and ALWAYS accommodated my crazy work hours (I'm a chef).We cut it really close, but she did my final fitting the day before I left for my destination wedding... and I left with a dress that looked like it was custom made for me. I got sooooo many compliments. I would recommend Olga as a first stop for any bride getting her dress altered. I only wish I had known about her sooner!!

Olga is amazing, she deserves 100 stars! I recently got married in Raleigh but live out of state so I was not able to have the bustle put in until 3 days before the wedding (already cutting it close) and was shocked when we realized that I had lost weight and the dress was to big- 5 inches had to be taken off the waist. If I had gone to anyone else they would have told me it was to late to take a lace wedding gown in 5 inches, 3 days before the wedding (or charge me the cost of the dress). However, Olga rearranged her schedule and was able to take in the dress, put in more support, and put in an 18 point bustle in 24 hours. And after all the work and short amount of time the cost was incredibly reasonable. Olga is amazing and she really wants her brides to look beautiful. Olga is my wedding savior!

I know this will sound like a broken record, but if you've read all the other reviews they are all absolutely spot on. Olga is the greatest at what she does and her sweet and gentle kindness is icing on the cake. She offers the kind of Customer Service that makes you think of the good ole days! The suit pants that she tailored for me came out better than the maker's stitching. Worth the wait and by far the best alterations in Cary/RTP!!! Thanks so much Olga!

Olga is amazing. I went to her as soon as I got my dress and she was able to squeeze me in. Note to brides - book her as soon as you order to dress - you don't even need to have it yet. She was able to do all the alterations needed and made a wonderful bustle. She was so good I am going to back to see if she can repair the damage to my dress that happened at the reception. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

There is only one word for Olga and that is AMAZING!!!!!! I found Olga through a google search for alterations in North Carolina after I found out that the woman who was supposed to do my alterations had an unexpected heath issue and was unable to complete my dress. I was in full panic mode by the time I found Olga, with only 4 weeks to go til my wedding I contacted Olga and met with her on a Sunday morning, after a 3 hour trip from Ocean Isle Beach. She was the sweetest woman and put all my fears to rest, although she was booked solid she found a way to squeeze me in. I left my dress with her for 2 weeks and when I came back to pick it up I couldnt believe it - It was gorgeous. It fit perfect and looked awesome. My dress had an extremely long & heavy train and the bustle she created (35 point bustle!!!) was unbelievable. Olga is honest and hard working and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Olga is wonderful! She altered my wedding dress and created a beautiful bustle. It was unique and it showed all of the detail of my dress. Olga can figure out a way to make anything work and I'll keep going back in the future. I've already been back to have a bridesmaid's dress done for a friend's wedding. Olga is fantastic and very talented!

Amazing talented woman!! My rather inexpensive wedding dress was TRANSFORMED into a beautiful, graceful dream dress by Olga!! She replaced the plain gross grain ribbon at the waist with a gorgeous twisted chiffon one that draped beautifully!! She altered the bodice to fit my shape, and did an exquisite job with the hem. And sewed in a "something blue" bow, what a wonderful and unexpected touch!! She is honest, fair and reasonably priced.. do NOT hesitate, she is a treasure!!!

So, I wanted to go to Olga first for alterations b/c of all the rave reviews I had heard, but my mom was most hesitant. She wanted to use the woman our bridal shop where we bought the dress recommended in case something terrible happened, they would fix it. Luckily, nothing terrible happened, but we weren't satisfied with her work. There was a pucker underneath my bust that she claimed couldn't be fixed b/c "that's just how the dress is." She also said I wouldn't be able to see it b/c of my bouquet...So...after portraits, seeing the pictures, and not being happy I called Olga in a frenzy, and she worked me in. God bless her. She not only fixed the pucker, but also took in the sides so it fits even more closely to my body (not too tight, but absolutely PERFECT), and redid the bustle. The 1st seamstress just did a 3 point bustle. Olga separated the lace, tulle, and silk layers and changed it to a whopping 19 points! My dress looks like a CLOUD when it's bustled now. It's so much lighter and very easy to dance in.Go to Olga...don't go to anyone else. She's absolutely wonderful. and her prices are great. You will not be disappointed!!!

For a recent wedding, the dress I ordered did not match the measurements taken and a new dress could not be ordered in time. I went to Olga and she exceeded all my expectations. She altered the dress to fit absolutely perfectly. The bride also took her dress to Olga and she restructured the bustle to look like a beautiful waterfall. Absolutely gorgeous! Olga's work is impeccable and she has innovative designs to meet your dreams. Did I mention that she also has fantastic prices?? If you want the absolute best, go to Olga!!!! She is a life saver.

Olga has experience with brides from all over the US. When I found her on theknot.com I knew I wouldn't trust my dress in the hands of anyones else. My dress has very intricate beading at the top. Olga took of the beads on the sides to alter my dress then she sewed them back on by hand. It was perfect! My dress was so comfortable. Her prices are more than reasonable!

Olga is amazing! I had a nightmare experience from another tailor and thought my dress was ruined. The first tailor put an sloppy bustle on the back (just one pin-up on a long train that caused the dress to pucker), sowed in cheap, uneven bra cups, did a sorry job of adjusting the dress around the chest, and (to top it all offI) bleed on the lining of the dress. Olga fixed every last problem and then some ...she even got the blood out! The dress looked so amazing, even better than I thought it could ...and you never would have know that the first tailor even touched the dress!
She was able to do this all quickly too ...I called her at 8:30 am on a Sunday to ask for help, but II needed a quick turn around time because my portraits were in 7 days. Olga told me to come in that day and she had the dress fixed and looking perfect in just 3 days.
Olga is reliable, timely, professional and TALENTED!

I needed a seamstress to take up the sleeves on my gown that I was wearing for my grandsons wedding. Since I'm fairly new to the area, I deceided to go to Google and see what I could find. Olga's name came up and her reviews were awesome so I made an appointment to go in. Her prices are very fair, her work is impecable and she is a very sweet lady. She goes that extra mile to make sure you're going to be happy. I would absolutely recommend her, and already have.

I had heard great reviews about Olga, and decided it was worth the drive from Wilmington, NC to Cary to have her alter my wedding dress. I was not disappointed. She hand-stitched my difficult lace hem with precision and care and created a beautiful bustle for me. Olga has a great personality and was a pleasure to work with! She is also very reasonably priced. Her quality of work was excellent, and I would recommend her to anyone.

Until recently, I lived just a few blocks from Olga. My entire family has been using her for several years for repairs, alterations, or whatever. In 2005 she made my daughter's wedding gown and my dress for her wedding--no pattern just made a wonderful gown and dress exactly what we wanted. They both turned out soooooooo much better than anything we could have ever bought in any store or wedding boutique! And to top all that - she is a wonderful person and friend.

Olga Samarskaya is a detailed and excellent seamstress, who specializes in wedding dresses and formal gowns. She also can custom make dresses. She does a great job in making sure whatever you are altering looks great. Her prices are reasonable and she is a pleasure to work with.
