Years ago, I found Tuscany Spa. They were located at that time in Glendale and were La Mouche. They use natural products and recommend products that will improve your skin. Four years ago, I moved from the Los Angeles area and have tried many different locations for facials. Unfortunately, I have not yet found one that compares with Tuscany Spa. I highly recommend this Spa for corrective facials and products. Regarding products, since I moved I had to find another provider of the products sold at Tuscany Spa on the internet and Tuscany Spa's prices are very competitive.

My experience with the Tuscany/La Mouche spa has been nothing but absolutely fabulous! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and spends a lot more time on actual skin care that improves my face than other spas that are so focused on relaxation that your skin doesn't really improve. I have worked with both Allison and Marisol, both of whom left my skin in much better condition than when I arrived. Contrary to the unhappy lady's experience, I have been recommended products both within my budget and taking into account products I already have. I have not had a stack of products waiting for me at check out, only what the technicians and I discussed in depth. If you are serious about your skin care, this is the place to be.

Dear Marcha S., You made the decision to get a service in my spa. My staff are well educated and knowledgeable. They took the time and spent money to learn their profession in depth and learn about the products they recommend. We offer all of our products at the manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP). It is our policy to recommend a daily regimen of skin care and to set aside these products for our clients approval at the end of the service. It is ALWAYS the clients choice to purchase these items based on products they already have and their budget. We recommend and suggest products, we do not pressure sell. It is also our policy to take back items based on allergies to the product being returned. We honor this policy. Before you came to my spa, you did not know about the benefits of the product which you purchased. You learned about it from one of my staff based on her in depth knowledge and the time she spent with you. This was the reason you purchased the product. When you came back with the product, you accused us that we sold the product to you more expensive than the suggested retail price. Just because you found that you could buy it for less than MSRP on the internet was not a valid reason to refund the purchase. That is why I did not take the product back. You state that you have ??done this before,? this is insulting to us and to any honest business owner and is not ethical on your part. If you felt you could find the product elsewhere at a cheaper price, then you should not have purchased the item in the first place. Your accusation of me ??throwing? the product at you with a ??smirk? is completely false. I have witnesses that will attest to that. Also neither myself nor any of my staff present that day saw a scab on your lip. Had you mentioned that you had a reaction to the wax, my staff would have graciously tended to your skin needs at that time. My staff are always courteous and professional. As a business owner is it my choice who I provide my services to, and I would prefer NOT to do business with people either myself or my staff feel are unethical. What can I say? a spa is a place where you relax and feel good about yourself. I have used many spas in my life all the way through Europe and Southern California. Most of my experiences have been very good and few a little less. A lot has to do with service they can provide or not providing at all. My experience with the La mouche Tuscany Spa in Montrose started out very promising. They seem the have knowledge. They know how to recommended you all kinds of services that you might need for future visits? but hey it??s a business, right! On my check out a whole bunch of products where waiting for me to be taken home. I was strong to resist and only bought only 1. It was a product worth $ 75. All good so far. The morning after when I woke up with a big scab on my upper lip from the all so gentle wax? I can live with that too! It will go away. Aldo it has never happened to me before. That day I did some research and found out the product that I had purchased from the Tuscany spa, was sold on the internet for $25 less, so I went back. I have done this before and as long the product is unopened and untouched it??s never a problem. Until now. I talked with Mrs. Hermina Lathe the owner. After I honestly told her why I was returning the product, I literally was thrown the product back in my face. With a dirty smirk on her face she said: I don??t take it back. I can live with that too, believe it or not. See how much honesty pays off? Before I could defend myself, she marched away from the counter. The girls who worked in the front looked ashamed and I did feel for them. You would think, well what is pissing you off? Well I think the lack of costumer service, the rudeness and the non- existing personal care of Mrs Hermina Lathe and of course my missing skin on my upper lip. Unfortunately through all off this I had to cancel my $ 850 green peel in November. Returning $75 and making $850 a month later? You do the math. I can not recommend this salon.

A 21 year expert in the field of skin care, Hermina added great body therapies including Reflexology & massage. Free Seminars at 10:30am 04/29 & 5/13 on how you can use Reflexolgy on yourself. Really learned alot from their previous seminar. Wonderful, warm and professional staff, everyone is very knowlegable. Enjoyed my free i.d. BareEscentuals color match too. CONS: I dont want to leave, want to sip my tea and stay longer
