Shanaz Hair Design

I'm new to town, back home in Australia I get my hair done by an award winning stylist, so I am very picky. I am also quite loyal. BUT, I really wanted a haircut and here I was in LA - where can I get a good haircut at a reasonable price?

Shanaz! I got a great mens haircut at a great price. Am very glad I saw her, she is really nice, will see her again, and most importantly - she gives great haircuts. Glad I found her (and on the internet!)

I am a redhead with very curly hair. Since I have been going to Shanaz for 13 years, I am very happy with my hair when I leave the salon. Shanaz does excellent work in cutting, styling, corlor (highlights and lowlights) and she even does makeup. She works very hard and gives every client preferential treatment. Doesn't play favorites. Her deep concern to please all of her clients puts her way ahead of every one else. I love to go to the salon once a week and see her beautiful and smiling face.

-She can do fantastic highlights and lowlights. She can keep it looking very natural or add just the right extra touch of color.

Shanaz is in a word, "awesome!" She cuts and colors my hair and does an incredible job. I always get compliments after a visit with her. Although I try to see her every 6-8 weeks, I sometimes go longer. But, it doesn't matter! The cut is so good, my hair retains the shape for months! Her prices are competitive and she's so sweet! I always have a good time and look forward to my next visit!

I moved to LA recently and had to go through the process of finding someone i trust with my hair. The minute I met with Shanaz, i knew she was the one. She listened to what i wanted, was gentle with my scalp and gave me a great cut.. She is flexible with her schedule also.. I feel at home when i sit in her chair and know i will enjoy the next two hours as well as walk out with a cut and color that draws ALOT of compliments.. I highly recommend her!

I moved to LA from the midwest last year, and I was terribly worried about finding a great stylist for a reasonable price. After reading these reviews, I decided to call Shanaz. She got me in right away and worked her magic. I LOVED it and received so many compliments on my stylish highlights and cut! My hair looks better than ever, and I am SO THANKFUL that I found Shanaz. I can't say enough wonderful things about my hair stylist... but to say i come from Texas for her to cut my hair should say A LOT! She cut my hair the first time (which i had grown out to donate to locks of love) after a bout of cancer. I was scared to cut off so much hair but now i love my new style and its all thank to Shanaz!! If you want to try something new go to Shanaz!! You won't be disappointed.

Shanaz is the best. For years I've been trying to describe to other colorists the color that I wanted, and Shanaz was the only one to get it. She really listens you, and she is brilliant when it comes to color. This is the happiest I have ever been with my hair. The color is beautiful, the cut is young and fresh, and I have definitely found my hair stylist in LA.

I've been going to Shanaz for over a year and have always been extremely pleased with the color, highlights, and cut she has given me. She is always prompt and gives me her full attention. In addition, she listens to what I want, and makes good suggestions as to what style would be most flattering. I always receive many compliments after I've had my hair done. Her prices are very reasonable for the quality products she uses, her talent, and the consistently good results she is able to maintain. Truly, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks Shanaz.

Shanaz is great, my color & cut are both fantastic. My previous ( much more expensive stylist) kept "texturizing'"my hair the result: hard to handleand a chore to maintain. Not any more. Shanaz corrected my color and fixed a very flyaway style that was making drying a chore. Go see her !

When I moved here a few years ago I couldn't seem to find anyone who could work well with my babyfine hair. One day out of desperation I typed "haircut fine hair LA" into Google and found Shanaz. Thank goodness. She knows what my hair will and won't do, and has a knack for knowing what suits my features. The best part is how long the cut lasts-- it looks good easily for the two months between cuts, even though I typically don't put much work into styling it. Shanaz also does my color and I get lots of compliments on it. She is also on time and super nice. I drive here from Silverlake and it's well worth it.

Shanaz has been doing my hair for for over ten years. She is efficient, professional by any measure, and fairly priced. She been doing color for me, for two years and is excellent at that. She also does my college attending daughter's hair - and there's no one fussier than my daughter.
I can recommned Shanaz without any reservations.

Shanaz is truly amazing. She is an expert at highlights and color. I always feel taken care of when I sit in her chair for a haircut, highlights, etc. I have been to several hairstylists since I moved out to Los Angeles and she has been the best by far. Shanaz is the best! Really, I have been getting highlights for a couple of years now and I never knew a better highlight specialist than Shanaz. My hair has never looked better! Shanaz is as good as these reviews say she is. I was very unhappy with my hair, so I decided to try Shanaz after reading the positive reviews. My hair was very dry from the coloring products that were being used on it and the color was not what I wanted. I had been through a few stylists in LA, and always, something wasn't quite right: wrong color, too rough, too expensive, poor quality products, etc. With Shanaz, everything is right on...she made my hair color and texture beautiful on the first try! She made specific recommendations on how to care for my hair and told me which products to use to maintain it. I followed her instructions and my hair is looking great. I had confidence and trust in her right away. She immediately knew what to do and she knew she could fix it, no problem...and she did! So many positives here....she is a nice lady, too, and getting my hair done is enjoyable and stress free because I know the end result is going to be good! I have received many compliments and I'm really pleased.

Shanaz is great! I found her on city search after reading all of the reviews. I was new to the area and did not have a hair dressor at the time. The reviews are accurate! She is taking my gradualling back from brunette to blonde and it looks so natural! The cut is perfect and falls and hangs perfectly! I would highly recommend Shanaz!!

I came to Shanaz after a disastrous experience at salon at Ventura and Laurel Canyon. I was 9 months pregnant and wanted a new look for the delivery room photos. I walked out 6 hours later with a strange brassy-orange pseudo-bob. When I got home, I found Shanaz's name on CitySearch and called in tears. She squeezed me in on a Saturday morning and was able to repair my hair. I was amazed! She held my hand (figuratively) through the whole experience. She also fixed the cut for free.

I had my second appointment today and again, she did absolutely beautiful work!

Shanaz is one of a kind hair stylist, she helps you get creative with your hair and makes it look so beautiful. She is also full of knowledge in terms of how to keep your hair healthy and keep the color. It was amazing because I had red highlights placed in July and did not need new highlights till January, becuase Shanaz placed a toner in my hair twice during that time and it did the trick. It's suggestions such as this that other hair stylist will not consider. I have learned a whole lot from Shanaz and am exceptionally happy with my hair, I can not say enough of good things about her. When I met Shanaz I was working very close by and just happened to walk into the salon, as I needed my hair cut badly!! Shanaz greeted me and said that she could cut my hair that afternoon. She did an amazing job cutting my hair, so we took the next step and I had highlights done. Each time I visited Shanaz I would get so many compliments on both my cut and color. Unfortunately, I moved to Oceanside (near San Diego) and stopped going to her because of the commute. It's been two years and two REALLY bad hairdressers later, that I called Shanaz and begged her to take me back as a client. Yes, I drive all the way to Sudio City from Oceanside every 6 weeks without fail. Shanaz is worth the drive!!!!

I first went to Shanaz because she is the mother of one of my best friends. I continue to go to her because she is an amazing hairdresser! Over the summer, I had gone to one of those free "our hairdressers just want to try these new colors" clinic things. It was horrible!! They ruined my light-brown/dirty blonde hair by putting almost black lowlights in it! I was so upset I cried every morning when I looked in the mirror. Shanaz saved my hair! She took out all of that awful color, re-did my highlights, and gave me a great trim. I was a different person when I came out of there - a much prettier person! I just went back to re-do the highlights and get another trim, and I have received countless compliments since then. Shanaz is great, I would definitely recommend her to anyone trying to find a good hairdresser in this crazy town of LA!

shanaz is THE best creator of beautiful and healthy hair. i came to her a mess! overprocessed highlights....like straw.
she completely redid my color and returned my hair to health....in ONE appointment! i can go to her with full confidence. she is a true perfectionist, and an artist...knowing exactly what color to use for your complexion.
i feel so well taken care of... oh, and she gives a fabulous cut, as well! what more could you ask for.

I found Shanaz on the web a few months back and read so many positive reviews so I thought I'd try her out. When I came to her I had the worst yellow/orange highlights through my hair! She fixed it in one appointment, taking out the odd color and making it look like natural blonde - AMAZING. I also got a great cut and I am very picky! Shanaz has a great personality and is easy to talk to. I go back like clockwork because she does such great work.

After spending hundreds of dollars on overpriced salons on the Westside, I found Shanaz. I've been going to her now for almost two years. She is just as good, if not BETTER than those expensive salons where you just pay for the name and location. Shanaz does a great job on color! I've honestly had more compliments on my hair color since I started going to her, than in all the years I've had it done (don't ask)! My hair CONDITION has imprroved dramatically since she's been doing my hair. Great haircuts and color. She is very knowledgeable and highly skilled. The plus is that she is a very nice, friendly, genuine person. She's fun to talk to and GREAT at what she does! You won't be sorry!

I've gone to Shanaz for about six months now and I'm pleased with the results every time. She is very knowledgeable, listens, and she is meticulous in the execution of my wishes. I've had her do new styles, trimming, coloring and she is good at everything. Shanaz is talkative, but in a pleasant way. I sent my mom to Shanaz when she was visiting from Europe and she received a lot of compliments on her new hair cut. I know a guy like me who've come back to Shanaz for years. I think her rates are fair. I've learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. Try her out, you won't regret it.

Shanaz is an extremely talented hair dresser. The first time I went to her my hair color was a mess because I used hair dye from a box. She knew exactly how to correct my color and it looks perfect. Then by just glancing at my face and hair she knew what style to give me and it looks amazing. I highly recommend her to anyone!

She's always on time (never keeps me waiting) and best of all she takes appointments on Saturdays and Sunday's which really works out great for me since my work schedule doesnt' give me the flexibility during the week. After many years of getting my hair done, I had never found a perfect stylist that I was truly happy with until I found Shanaz. Her work is AMAZING! When I visited her the first time, she looked at my hair and gave me her expert opinion. I placed my trust and my hair in her hands. She did her "magic" and the result was ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL! I couldn't be happier with my hair. She takes her time and makes me feel very special. She is sweet and very easy to talk to. She is knowledgeable and taught me so much about hair care. Shanaz is amazing. My friend referred me and then I referred a friend and pretty soon everyone I know is getting their haircut by Shanaz. The second time I went to see her I was bored with my hair and asked her for something new, but to keep the length. Ever since then, I can't go anywhere without getting a compliment on my hair. Also, you know how you usually leave a haircut with awesome hair and then can never recreate it? That has neer happened with Shanaz. She cuts hair well so it just falls right and is easy to style. I've been to Shanaz twice so far and have left very satisfied both times. She takes her time and makes me feel like her only customer. She has also taught me so much about hair care and I don't think my hair has ever looked or felt so healthy. Her prices are very fair for LA standards and even though I said she takes her time, I am always out of there within two hours. Not bad for getting highlights and a cut... plus her work is outstanding! I really can't say enough good things about Shanaz, I highly recommend her.

After searching for a new colorist, I found Shanaz! I have been coloring my hair for about 4 years and had been unhappy with the results every time. Stylists simply told me that because I am a brunette my hair will always turn red and I could never have the medium brown shade with highlights that I had always wanted. Well - after one visit to Shanaz - my hair had never looked better! She got the red out - no brassiness at all and the color was beautiful. My hair was ready for highlights on my second visit and the compliments keep coming! Shanaz is personable, kind, and honest about what to expect from her services. Her prices are reasonable and she treats your hair as if it is her own! I look forward to my next service with Shanaz!

I was unhappy with my previous stylist - always just getting the same cut and color each time with no collaboration or personal touch (despite being an expensive, highly regarded salon). After doing a lot of research to find the perfect stylist, I visited Shanaz. I was so impressed that I have to share my experience with everyone. the first time i went to shanaz my hair was a DISASTER!! i was so unhappy.. after so many years of getting my hair done i had never found someone i was truly happy with their work untill i met shanaz!! from the time i walked in she was the sweetest person!! she looked at my hair, gave me her opinion ,was upfront about the price and what would need to get done..i put my trust and hair in her hands!! the work that had to be done was not easy but she gave me the reasurrance it could be done..a major color correction and a couple different steps had to be done..after her spending about 4 hours and her AMAZING work.. the results were ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! i was amazed that my hair could look so different after just one visit to her!! i have gotten more compliments on my hair now than ever before,even people i dont know tell me how great my hair looks!! she is truly an artist!! i would recommend her to anybody at anytime for anything they need!! she is just great!! for the first time in a very long time i just look at myself and think..i love my hair!!

Shanaz works on my hair and my daughter's hair. We are both in the public eye and realliy need to look our best. No mess-ups. Shanaz consults with me what she feels and then lets me make my decision. She is fantastic and I highly recommend her. Especially for long blonde hair with highlights or hair that you want to look long, blonde and fantastic!

Shanaz is great!! I came in with this copper reddish hair that I couldn't do anything with. Shanaz listen to what I wanted and gave me this fabulous color that I absolutely love. Its turned out so nice and she took of all the red off. Not only did she do a good job with the color but my hair cut was adorable. I love it so much that I referred everyone that I know to her. And she gave me a great discount !! Also she didn't hassle me about buying hair products like other places typically do. She offered me products that she thought I needed. I absolutely love her and i've already scheduled my next appointment with her right after my first.

I was so relieved to have met Shanaz. She truly is a breath of fresh air in Los Angeles. She does an amazing job for a very affordable price. In a town where everyone is trying to pay hundreds of dollars for celebrity stylists, Shanaz does what the others don't (and I have tried most!) She gives you the great haircut, that you want, while also giving you her advice backed by her many years of experience. She is also the friendliest stylist I have met in a long time. She treats you like a friend, rather than another client to get through the day. I would highly recommend her to everyone!

Shanaz hair Design is the best!!! I've never had such a talented hair stylist work on my hair before. Shanaz is so passionate about what she does and it shows! I've had many compliments on my hair on my highlights and haircut. I've never colored my hair in my entire life, she was completely honest and did not try to sell me any extra products or try to do anything extra just to make money. She cares more about you and designs your hair style and color it according to what suits your face and hair type. She's a true expert in her field!!! She also taught me how to style my hair properly, showed me what I can do to add variety to my hair style etc. She was very helpful!

Go to no one eles but Shanaz, trust me you won't be disappointed. Moreover, she's also a sweet and kind hearted lady :). Shanaz is the Dr. 90210 of hair styling and coloring! I have to admit, I cheated on my stylist of 15 years, and Shanaz was my first excursion outside the relationship. I felt miserable, but only for a moment! When you first meet her, you?ll notice her dazzling smile and charm, then you sit with her, and go over the laundry list of your styling and coloring needs; it?s exhausting! But she listens patiently and understands you, then with a quick wink and a smile, she begins the transformation operation! Her work is second to none!
