I was in the bay area for a week for a friends' wedding and festivities. At the wedding rehearsal after-party, they hired a therapist to do free chair massage, which was an excellent idea considering all the stress everyone was under. After my 15 minute massage, I was hooked and just had to arrange a real session with Felix for later that week (after the wedding). He is the absolute best! He is very thorough, works slowly (sometimes would even hold) when he encounter my tight and sensitive spots, and has a great healing quality about him. I didn't want to leave the bay area, but it was a great way to end my trip.

PROS: Very thorough, works out all the tension, great hands
CONS: 400 miles away from me!

I was recently referred to Felix considering my usual therapist had gone on disability. I typically never received a massage from a male masseur, but my friend insisted and completely vouched for Felix. He was everything she said. I was a little worried that his touch would not be nurturing and too heavy, but to my surprise, he has great healing / nurturing hands and balances it with the strength and firmness I have yet to experience from my therapist in the past, perhaps because they have all been women? Anyhoo, I highly recommend Felix; very professional, passionate about his work, and a rare, true healer.... I think he is miscategorized (massage school) although he should open one and teach his gift!...

PROS: Perfect Touch, dynamic and knowledgeable about his passion for massage
CONS: Scheduling a bit difficult, don't expect a same day appointment, call ahead

Recently, I came across a postcard flyer in my mailbox for an introductory massage promotion for only $45. I visited the website and then decided to call. To my surprise, a man answered and turned out to be the therapist. I must admit, I was a little hesitant to book considering I never had a male CMT before, but during our conversation, he was very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. I decided to go ahead and take an appointment, then found out he was indemand. I had to wait a few days, but figured it was a bargin. Felix showed up on time, had relaxing music with him and was as courteous and pleasant in person as he was over the phone. I have received many massages throughout the east bay, but his was the best ever! I'm now a regular!

PROS: Great hands! He really knew how to get through my tension without pain
CONS: He doesn't take weekend appointments and a little tough scheduling
