Although the coffee is good (up there with many other coffee shops) this place has been able to capture and maintain being THE destination for all of Los Gatos. You can't walk in here without seeing the same groups of people in the same corners reading papers and chatting it up. Kind of cool - and not that common any more.

I have spent a lot of my time looking for somewhat "underground" coffee shops in the bay area and this is one of the finest. Located in Los Gatos, it provides customers with a great location as well as cup of joe!

The Los Gatos Roasting company has a bit of everything. It of course has coffee and some great baked goods. But, it's also got a separate European-style espresso bar. And it's also got an impressive selection of wine and cheese. They've recently added sandwiches and gelato to the menu. It's not exactly cheap, but it's in a nice area and the food/coffee is worth the price.
To top it all off, it's got free wifi, so you can hang out in one of the nicer Silicon Valley areas and work/study/mess around on your computer.

I love the smell inside Los Gatos Coffee Roasting -- the really rich aroma of great coffee being brewed and served. They know their coffee and how to make a great drink with just the right amount of foam, perfectly steamed.

I always enjoy their coffee, whether getting something on the run or stopping by to relax. Excellent coffee but they staff are what really makes the place.

This is a pretty big coffee shop. You can buy your coffee for home brewing here, or you can stop up front for the speciality cups of coffee (latte, espresso, etc), or you can step into the back of the shop where the tables are for regular coffee and baked goods.
