I was looking for a new look and I was totally satisfied.I brought a celebrity pic of a style I wanted and my new stylist Sharon told me very frankly that the look wasn't right for my face or lifestyle.but she took my ideas and expectations and incorporated them into a cut ,color and style that made me look like a celebrity myself .Halle Berry eat your heart out !

It is a shame bu the problem with black salons is that they are NOT PROFESSIONAL!. I had a 1pm appointment, however, while sitting under the dryer for over an hour to my surprise the stylist was doing someone else's hair. I waited for over 20 min. until she was done with the other patron's hair, before mine was done. The stylist and others in the salon were NOT FRIENDLY (ghetto attitude). My hair had not been totally relaxed in all areas. Yet this appt. cost $70. I overheard another stylist stating she was leaving. Just overall the service and the styling skills of the stylists in the salon are BELOW MINIMAL! By the way no pubic restroom.

As far as the shop, it was not a friendly environment. There were only four chairs in the waiting area. Needless to say, there were people standing up while others went out to sit and wait in the car. I saw one of the beauticians drop a large container of conditioner on the floor and then take her hand, scoop it up, and then flick it back into the container and put it back up on the shelf above the sink like nothing happened. As far as the beautician or lack thereof, her name was Shorty. I must warn you, if you must get your hair done at this place, please DO NOT ALLOW SHORTY TO DO YOUR HAIR. I am a travel nurse from another state and I currently have a contract in a city where there are next to no black people. I found this shop while looking on the internet for beauty salons that knew how to do African American hair. I called the shop and Shorty answered the phone. I told her that I needed my hair cut and I was looking for a beautician that specialized in cutting and styling short hair. She assured me that she could do it. I drove an hour to get to the shop after working a 12.5 hour shift. And besides effin up my hair, she was late getting to the shop. Besides that, my hair looks like I gave some scissors to my 3 year old nephew and blind folded him and let him loose. I have long pieces of hair hanging over the shaved part in the back. It is not cut in a style. She curled my hair at the very ends and since my hair had grown a bit, had my hair standing on my head looking like Don King with curls at the very end of his fro. I was sooooo embarrassed walking out of the shop. Needless to say, I have booked a flight home ASAP so that my beautician can fix this mess. I would rather pay $200-$400 to fly home and get my hair done than to let another inexperienced, dishonest, so-called beautician play in my hair.
