Kane's Doughnut House

I just had the pleasure of visiting Kanes this weekend I can certainly see why they were voted best donut shop in the USA.I have never enjoyed a honeydip donut like this before!! I must admit I made a pig of myself and enjoyed a buttercrunch donut too!! That was just as wonderful.We also bought some muffins and an Apple pie to take home.My family devored every last crumb.I definately will order my holiday pies from Kanes!
9/13/08 Went to Kanes today I was even more delighted today, it was wonderful.We bought a coffee roll I can't even begin to describe how delicious it was you just have to try one!!The coffee was the best I have ever had.Service superb!

I thought I only liked Krispy Cream honey dipped anymore, but then I got one from Kane's WOW is all I can say! I also LOVE their coffee rolls! I warmed it up and but butter on it too - FANTASTIC!

I love this place. They have huge coffee rolls, amazing chocolate cake donuts, bismarks with real raspberries and whip cream. Their coffee is New England coffee and always fresh. Plus they have great muffins, pastries. I could go on forever. They have been on the phantom gourment three times!

PROS: muffins, pastries, donuts, coffee rolls, need I say more
CONS: I wish they were open 24 hours

This place is incredible. I have had regular donuts, jelly donuts, and coffee cake type donuts. They are like nothing else. They are so good that you will be grossed out by eating one from a chain. They are what donuts should be. Yesterday I had a jelly-filled donut with sugar all over it - I'm not sure the jelly flavor because someone picked it up for me, but it was different. Not your average taste. It was almost like blackberry or something. They are a little high, but the quality is well worth it.

PROS: family-owned, quality food
CONS: Expensive
