All About Kids & Teens Hair

My Girl just went to a birthday party here last weekend and she had so much fun! I didn't know kids salons did this grate job with the goody bags too very cool stuff!

I made an appointment for my child about two weeks ago for a back to school cut. This was our first time here and I have to say the cut was okay nothing special but we will give it another try the young girl was the only stylist there and she looked a little frazzled. My only complaints were that the person that is answering the phone could not understand me and that I think they could update some of the toys they were outdated and did not work the right way.

All these people writing reviews about the new owner are pre judging the owner because she is young... that doesn't mean anything! I have known the owner for 5 years now and have fallowed her from a high end salon in South Jersey to the one in Union, Beauty By Design Hair Studio and she is grate at everything know one cuts my hair like her, she did my friends care and treatment and her hair looked amazing!

We have gone to Stacy for a few years and have loved every cut that she gave my son. We now go to Jodi and love her just as much as we love Stacy.While at the salon the last few months I have noticed that the place has been painted but I still see hair all over! Prior reveiws have focused on new games and an Xbox but in my own opinion great haircuts should come first. I do agree that the new owner is a little shaky in the cutting.

Even after the new owners took over its still a kid friendly place. and thay have reasonable prices. Its so much better compared to all the bad kids salons around westfield and cranford! And the new owner does grate hair cuts for everyone I even got a hair cut for my self. And i go to play xbox while my hair got done!

I have been taking my girls to this salon for the past few years and its really not that diffrent from when the previous owner was running it I also like the new improvements! I also had the new owner cut my kids hair and she was really nice and she did a grate hair cut for my two girls and for my older one she also did one of the best updos I have seen... I wish her the best!

My boys have been coming to this salon for years and like the last reveiw we have been happy with all the staff until now that is! It seems the salon has been sold and the place is going downhill fast.......after watching the new owner stuggle with a child and deliver a BAD haircut I wanted to suggest that she sticks to answering the phone and greeting clients and leaving the cutting to her staff! Sorry to say but I would never let this girl cut my kids hair again!

I have been a customer of the salon since Edie opened 6 yrs. ago. Through the years I have used all her girls,and have been happy with whoever my girls went to. Then Edie sold the shop this past winter. Since then there has been talk among the moms and some dads that the salon doesn't feel the same. I know what they mean. I still go there, my girls love the staff, but just because they have new games and game systems doesn't mean anything when you can tell the new owner is inexperienced and overwhelmed. You can tell she has no experience with kids or scissors. If it wasn't for Edie, Jodi and Donna the new owner would not see my business.

I looked at the last review and its totaly the other way around. I been taking my kids to this salon for the past 3 years and it looks the best it has looked since they opend up. They have completly renovated it with brand new games and movies they even have a xbox360 in one chair i guess for teenagers... but i have to say it does get really busy on saturday so i would make an appoiment on a week day.

I have been to this salon many times in the last few years but I was there on Saturday and noticed that the place has gone downhill nobdy took the time to clean out the cars filled with hair or sweep the floor. I was not happy with my daughters haircut! I guess I need to start looking for a different salon.

Colleen has been cutting my children's hair for years. She is talented at what she does. She gives great cuts and my kids love her. The store is also roomy and clean. I recommend this place to anyone w children!

I have taken my children to all the kid's hair salons around, and this one by far is the best. Edie has given my boys the best haircuts they have ever had. I highly recommend it.

My son will not go anywhere else. He loves being able to play a video game while he gets his haircut. Staff is very nice and the haircuts are great. I highly recommend it.

This is without a doubt the best kid's hair salon around. I took my two children there and they both received great cuts. The staff is very friendly and experienced. The price is right too!

Edie and the rest of the staff are always efficient, and very nice with my kids, I have been bringing my children here since it has opened. I feel the salon is always clean and I recommend this place to friends and colleagues with small children all the time. The prices are reasonable. All around, it is a great experience for kids and parents.

Their name says it all. I had gone there with my friend and her son, he cries like hell at other salons but not at this place. Kids can really enjoy having a car ride and have their hair cut. Staff is really helpful and great with kids. I saw pretty good number of teens coming in for haircuts and seemed to like the end result.

I wish someone had thought of this sooner! While adults are welcome, this salon caters to young children and teens. For the little ones who are still fearful of hair cuts, each station has TV's and DVDs, and stools that look like cars and trucks! The staff specializes in children's cuts, and are also skilled at the latest of all the teen styles. Cuts are priced so that your teenage daughter can change her look as often as she wants (or fashion dictates!) without breaking the bank. Mine go twice a month! Girls' parties can also be arranged. I love this place!
