I was shocked to see that this place was closed.... can't wait to see what the new owners have in store for Allen next.

This place simple couldn't hang in during the economic downturn. It was been bought by a new owner, remodeling is underway and another restaurant should be opening there shortly......

Pros: food

Cons: nice place of Allen

My husband and I were blown away with the flakey croissants -- the best we've tasted outside of France. They are worth the drive! The other breads are lovely also -- with the taste of French flour. It's expensive, but well worth the splurge now and then.

My godmother told me about Voila when it first opened. I frequent the restaurant/bistro at least once a week. It's great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Fantastic crepes on the weekends! I recommend the banana and nutella. It's also fab. for coffee. I love to go grab a loaf of their freshly made bread for my dinner guests at my house. I always give Voila their due credit though :) I love the kid's options too!!!! Great place all around!

I love the homemade pastries and the wonderful sandwiches!!! Be aware though, not overything there is homemade. The desserts are brought in from a company and the soups are from another eatery. Even though I would reccomend this for the yummy Bearclaws and Breakfast Sandwiches, be aware the service is never timely and many times inaccurate.

Pros: Coffees are WONDERFUL!!! Great Breakfast!!!

Cons: NOt all homemade and service is VERY BAD

Amazing ! This is a rare one . The food here has soul seldom seen in the corporate-lame watered down world we live in. The grilled chicken caeser sandwich is the incredible.

Okay, I'm a bread-lover. I admit it. Never really took to the "no carb" lifestyle. And I've had some really good bread in my life, but this bakery in Allen is amazing.

Their chocolate croissants are pure decadence. They get everything right...down to the slighty-moist ganache ribbon running through the pastry.

Their tarts re amazing. Their sandwiches are wonderful. Their ice cream is even European (spaghetti style) and whoever heard of ice cream and hot chocolate pudding? But oh my goodness, it's GOOD...

Recently, when I was in, they were "testing" new crepes they're adding to the menu soon...more goodness...

Only negatives are the sometimes less-than-helpful counter help and their hours -- wish they were open later in the evening.

PROS: awesome incredible pastries & bread!
CONS: counter help isn't very helpful sometimes / wish they had later hours

Vive Voila, finally a place in Dallas that produces decent bread. Apple walnuts, Sourdough, Ciabatta and Baguette they all taste great. Forget Ms. Bairds, this is the real stuff!!!

Pros: Good service, cheap prices, quick and healthy

Cons: Nothing I can think off, maybe not enough seating inside.

Wow, I have been there yesterday for the first time and I think I will be back there a couple times a week from now on. They make the best sandwiches with freshly baked bread, what a treat. I tried the Tomato Mozzarella Sandwich with Basil and Olive spread, yummy.

We could not be happier to have such a nice place in our neighborhood. A real European bakery in North Dallas, what a treat. I brought some of their breakfast items to a business breakfast and nobody believed me that I bought them in Allen.

Everything they produce is exceptional. The Master Baker is originally from France and you can taste the difference. They were vote "Best Croissant" in Dallas from DMagazine and just received a great review from the Dallas Morning News.

Check it out you won't be disappointed!!! Their website is www.voila-bakery.com

PROS: Kid-friendly, great product, good parking
CONS: Nothing I can think of, they coull open earlier and close later, ;-)

Voila is in my opinion the best Bakery in the DFW area. they bake fresh every morning. Their breads, danishes and pastries are superb, as good as in Europe. They also offer sandwiches made with the fresh bread, yumm and salads with homemade dressings. I like sitting on their patio and have breakfast there, the ambience and the music are very nice.

PROS: Exceptional quality, nice friendly staff, lots of parking
CONS: Sometimes very busy on weekends

Je n'arrive pas le croire, une boulangerie francaise a Allen. La baguette et les croissants sont comme en France. J'adore le "Almond Croissant" et le Pain au Chocolat.

Finally a real bakery in DFW that doesn't work with frozen dough like all the other chains. I am so happy that they opened up in my neighborhood. I have almost tried every bread they offer and I have yet to find one I don't like. Apple Walnuts, Ciabatta, Sourdough, Rye, Jalapeno Cheese, they are all wonderful! Their Danish and Pain au Chocolat taste like in France.

Cute little bakery with nice outdoor patio. They offer in my opinion the best bread in the DFW area. D Magazine just voted their croissants the best in Dallas. The Sandwiches are to die for, fresh bread with high quality ingridients. The staff is nice. I love to sit on the patio on the weekends and have breakfast. The ambiance is nice and they play great music too.

Voila is a new French cafe open in Allen. A friend and I went for a morning cup of coffee. It has a nice atmosphere and the prices are reasonable (similair to Starbucks I guess). The variety of pastries was good and very tasty. Staff where very friendly and even offered us some free samples. We will return.
