This is one vet who is not out to sell you on pricey services, medications, and unnecessary interventions.
I take my 2 cats here, and Uptown Vet has treated them very lovingly and always prefers the natural route to performing a service. Even if it means they don't make as much money.
My kitten had a baby tooth remaining where the adult tooth was growing in. It looked really painful for my kitty and the Internet suggested that the new tooth could be permanently pointed the wrong way causing a lifetime of chewing and biting problems for my cat.
When I took him into Uptown Vet, they were not very worried about biting problems. In fact, they recommended I wait to see if the tooth falls out naturally and talked me out of getting it pulled. Well, 1 week later it did fall out and their advice saved me money and my cat unnecessary mouth trauma.
Another nice is when my cats were sick and contagious, they isolated them in the dog rooms for so no other cats would contract the bug.
PROS: inexpensive, separate areas for cats and dogs, naturalist pet care
