China Ho Restaurant
China Ho Restaurant is located on 5115 S. Pulaski Road, in Midway Square mall, and the most remarkable landmark is Curie High School. The neighborhood is populated by mostly Latinos and Polish, and the I55 is four to five blocks away from the restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm, and the wall paper is a pale pink with a soft pattern. China Ho is considered a family restaurant and brings out the feeling of home and family. There are approximately fifteen booths and five tables, and the floor contains green carpeting. The washrooms are fairly clean which reassures the cleanliness of the food. The service is pretty efficient, and the cup never runs out of water. Most tables receive chili sauce because there are many Latino customers. If you are starving hungry, then this restaurant is a good choice. If you order appetizers, then the main entree takes about five minute after the appetizers are serve. If you only order the main entree, the food comes within five minutes. There are no free refills on soda, but ice tea does receive free refills. can't taste the bitterness of the onion at all but only the sweetness. The Terraki Chicken and Beef is tender on the inside and juicy on the outside. The Chicken Wings are a hot sell because it is relatively cheap. It is the best Chicken Wings I had from ANY Chinese restaurant. The Hot Chicken Wings are even better because they are in a sweet but spicy sauce that adds flavor to the chicken, unlike American Hot Chicken Wings which are in a hot, red sauce. The barbeque ribs and pork is not as popular but is still delicious. The main entrees are excellent too, but there are some that out wins the others. From teenagers to adults, Orange Chicken is the dish to order. It is the most popular dish of the restaurant because it is unexplainable on how tasty the chicken is. It beats Panda Express and traditional restaurants. The most famous beef dish is the Mongolian Beef, and it is a combination of mixed vegetable with a tasty, light brown, spicy sauce. The Szechwan Chicken has more tomatoes in it, but it has more style then the Hunan Chicken. It is favored by customers who prefer a spicier choice. If you don't like spicy, then the regular dishes are good too. However, I would recommend that you order appetizers because it will spice out the meal. The best character of the dishes is the sauce, so most of the dishes receive a high rating. The aroma of the dishes will keep you eating. cilantros, onions, and tomatoes. The portions are very large. If you are going with individuals that doesn't eat a lot, then I would suggest that you order one dish with appetizers. The only downside of the menu is the lack of desserts and a variety in drinks. Most Chinese restaurants don't offer desserts and is not very popular among the customers. Not many customers would request for desserts, but I am a fan of desserts. Take out is fairly quick, and will take approximately ten minutes. The food generally tastes good, even if it is leftover in the refrigerator. However, I would prefer to dine in because the appetizers taste much better in the dining room. An average meal for two people including drinks is approximately $20-$25 dollars including tips, which is reasonable. Out of five stars, I would give this restaurant a four and half.
PROS: Amazing appetizers, good portion, and quick service
CONS: The atmosphere is more family oriented.
