Joe has done many repairs for our family fleet over the past year, you absolutely need someone to trust. I've been told stories, overcharged, and run around by countless repair shops over the past 15 years living here in Cary. Finally, I know where to go, our shining 1999 T&C mini van with 137K miles on it needed a new radiator recently, I took it to Joe, he said ... bad news, it needs to be replaced. He gave me an estimate, I did some research, and agreed on his price. When I picked up the van the next day, I was thrilled to see the bill was a full 1/3 under his estimate. He just said, it didn't take me as long as installation guidelines suggested. Lets get real folks ... nobody does that.

I find these reviews very unrealiable on many fronts. Joe is extremely rude, non responsive and by no means wait in his waiting room for your ears will hear words not meant for children.His wife or girlfriend behind the counter is very much a liar as others have said in these reviews. I also brought my cars there both when Doug was there and as Joe is owner now. I bought the coupon book as described as a scam earlier but the ironic thing is Doug wasnt there when I used my coupon and Joe accepted it. So if Doug lied to customers then Joe was fully versed on it as well. Very easy to blame someone that isnt there anymore for whatever reason. I would NOT bring my car there. There are many other local garages that are better suited, more frendly and has better mechanics. SAVE YOUR MONEY

Joe is great my wife and I go to Joe for both our scooters and both our cars. He is more than fair every time. He is always extremely polite and patient with us and does superior work for wonderfully low prices he may be the only mechanic I've ever felt I could trust. On a personal and professional level he is great.

I have been going to Joe's for many years and found him to be the most honest and fair mechanic I have every had.
He does excellent work and I have never had a problem with this shop.
Joe is very Professional,Honest and Fair.Repaired my vehicle for hundreds less then the Dealership.If you're not taking your cars to Joe's ,you should.

I sold a car to Doug by bartering service. Doug never transferred the tiltle and left the car abanded and the car was towed away an impounded. I was responsible for paying the towing and storage charges. I had to get a mechanics lein and turned over the car to the towing service for payment. This is the kind of person Doug is. Do not refect what Doug has done to Joe's Auto.

I saw some negative ratings on these pages and frankly couldn't believe them. I have been going to Joe for nearly 5 years now and you will not find a more honest and reliable mechanic. His work is always done fast and done well. I would recommend Joe's Automotive to ANYONE.

I bought a Car Care Program for Doug's Automoitive and it listed both Doug and Joe as owners, however, when I tried to use the program, Joe indicated that Doug's is no longer the business and that I would have to pursue Doug or the company that sold the program if I wanted to get my money back... I'm NOT pleased with this and will no longer use Joe's services or Doug's, where ever he is.

This is now "Joe's Automotive" and the service is terrible! Our neighbor highly recommended "Doug's" not knowing it had recently changed owners. We dropped the car off on Monday morning (check engine light, spongy brakes) and had NO communication from them by 10:00 Wed. They did not even return OUR call. Paid $109.99 for them to reset the check engine light and we still have spongy brakes. Owner refused to speak with us, receptionist was caught in several lies. Worst experience ever with automotive repair!!Concerning owners response: When we dropped of our vehicle the receptionist checked us in and NEVER mentioned any costs. We did tell her we were dropping off the vehicle (not waiting in the reception area) and she NEVER told us it would be Tuesday before the vehicle would be looked at. We had even called before we brought the vehicle in to see if it could be looked at that day and was told YES! WE were the ones who called many times to check on the vehicle only to be told it had not been looked at yet. NO ONE from the business EVER called us which is why we went back on Wednesday to pick up the vehicle. At this point we were still thinking on one had looked at it. Since the owner refused to speak to us when we arrived, I actually found out more about what he did to our vehicle in the response he made to this complaint. All we were told was "couldn't find any reason for the check engine light so it was reset and couldn't find anything wrong with the brakes." My Sentra had a nasty oil leak for quite some time. I asked them to replace the oil pan gasket, what they did (because I asked to do just that).
When later I found out that it wasn't the only problem, I took it back and asked them to find the leak and fix it.
Their suggestion was "Let's just replace the gasked of the side of the transmission, before we go deeper, because the cost is much less".
Guess what ? It was right on the spot.
Yes, I do recommend Doug to all my friends as he was recommended by me by a good friend. They also do state inspection, etc.

I brought my car in on a Friday morning with some mystery "cracking", had a diagnosis and estimate by noon and my car back later that day! The price was fair and alot of people have recomended the garage to me.
