5 Stars: Travel around the mundo (by Sarah C.)

I believe that Mundo has been open for a couple of years. The co-owners are Argentinean and Turkish. The restaurant's decor is artsy and ecletic. They even have art for sale that hangs on the walls. Mundo (means world in Spanish) offers dishes from around the world. When I was there, I tried the crab meat and artichoke dip, pearl barley, Ottoman dumplings, shrimp casserole, and toasted almond cake. The food was tasty and fun to eat, as many of the dishes are for sharing. I was there fairly early for dinner, so the service by the Argentinean owner was fantastic. I ordered a glass of yerba mate, an Argentinean drink, and he stood by our table for a good 5-10 minutes, describing the benefits of yerba mate and its popularity in Argentina, as well as showing me the yerba mate container and his unique drinking cup for yerba mate. Mundo has been featured in Zagat 2006, Time Out, New York, and Newsday, among others.
CONS: none
