Kampai house Now known as chocolate sushi

My experience is just to long to explain,so i will just let people know that this place is dis-respectful too customers and just unprofessional. The owner is a small Korean guy that drives a black mercedes clk, is just as rude as the staff. I am not korean but i do speak and understand korean and when i asked for some service and asked question more than twice they would jibber things in korean that i did not appreaciate. I have never been so disgusted, i will never give any of my bussiness again.
this new owner i believe just changed the name and slighty the menu to attract new customers, but why try when you treat customers like this?
i guess know how to understand korean if you dont want to be disrespected without knowing it. or you can do what i do and go to another sushi location.

Mediocre, overpriced food and poor service. Don't bother.
by Tiffany W.
My husband and I just ordered food to go and we were missing several of the items we ordered and paid for. When my husband called them to rectify the situation, the hostess actually argued with him about it instead of being helpful. When he asked to speak with the manager, he was argumentative as well. My husband is a soft-spoken, well mannered guy (a lot nicer than I would have been.) The food is overpriced in comparison to the portion sizes as well. The chicken was salty and shriveled and the teriyaki sauce tasted like plain soy sauce. When my husband told the manager that he wasn't going to be coming back, the manager just said "OK!" and hung up. There are many other great sushi places in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara. Don't bother with this one.
PROS: None that I can think of
CONS: Poor service, mediocre food, overpriced

New Trendy Sushi Place in Sunnyvale !!
by Ginny N.
I love sushi, and I can't keep quiet after finding this great sushi place. Living in Sunyvale for 18 years, I am so happy to find a new restaurant that is trendy, classy, with great food and good service, and very reasonablly priced.
Japanese always said one can taste the "heart" of a chef by the nigiri he prepares. The nigiri made by the Executive Head Chef Suzuki was absolutely amazing. I almost bursted into tears when I tasted the nigiri made by Chef Suzuki for the first time. From the perfectly shaped nigiri, and the perfect balance of texture and flavor between the fish, wasabi, and sushi rice, I tasted his "heart" of wanting to serve the best sushi to his customers.
The sashimi here is top grade, and very inexpensive. We ordered the "Awesome-50" sashimi plater, 50-pcs of fresh sashimi elegantly arranged as roses and flower garden, for $75. Do your math!
The "riceless" sushi roll "Kampai Kampai" ($12), was made out of tamago, unagi, cucmber and cream cheese. It was sweet, delicate, and very original. The "Fire Dragon" roll ($12) was very cute, shaped and decorated like a dragon", and with a mixture of textures - crispy tempura shrimp, delicate seared Escolar white tuna on top with mild spicy mayo. No wonder this is the most popular item of this restaurant.
The restaurant also serves many original Japanese fusion creations. From refreshing mix of sashimi and fruits, to seafood, steak and lamb chops. Too many choices for one visit.
If you think the decor of this place is as authentic as the sushi they serve, you will be surprised. The ambiance of this restaurant is trendy, open, and modern. The music is upbeat and interesting. The liquor bar serves premium sake, exotic cocktails, and pretty descent selection of wine. A great place to hangout with friends.
There is finally a place (other than PF Chang) that I can entertain my guests without leaving Sunnyvale. It's about time!
PROS: Great Sushi and Fusion Japanese foods, Trendy Decor
