I took an old rug/blanket there last month that needed a wash. They sucked me dry by taking it to a 'specialty rug cleaner', as if it was a Persian rug, therefore charging me 65 plus tax, instead of the regular wash price. I came to pick it up several weeks later (it took them two weeks to clean it), and when I got home I realized it smelled stale and worse than when I brought it in. I came in and politely asked for my money back, at which point the owner flipped out and told me that "nobody gives free service in NY".
I stood there while he yelled at me between customers that I was crazy for half an hour. At one point he grabbed the ticket/receipt that was on the wrapper it came in (which I brought in) and stuck it behind the counter. I grabbed it back, at which point he grabbed my wrists hard and tried to wrestle it out of my hands. He was yelling that it was the store's ticket and I can't take it backm even though it was my receipt. I was afraid he was going to take away proof that I paid that much. At this point I started crying and he took the rug and threatened to throw it out of the store.
I left with $10 and a smelly rug.
I am in the process of filing a police report. It's cheap service, but when they ruin something of yours, they will NEVER, EVER, admit fault. They blame it on the place they send it to.
Go across the street. It's more expensive, but worth it.
