Dr. Patel is and hygienist are nice and good at what they do. The front office seems not to know what they are doing, they seem to not want to deal with problems. They filled my insured wrong. I paid them the difference thinking they would do the right thing. They never fix it, they had several opportunities. They charged me for a procedure that my insurance pays and would have cost me nothing. They submitted a claim saying my dentist was Dr. Pollard not Patel. All they had to do to fix it was tell my insurance that I was Dr. Patel??s patient and not Pollard??s. Since they got the money, I guess they are not interested in fixing it!
Visited Dental Renaissance recently for a cracked tooth. Dr. Patel was wonderful and understood my needs and took care of the problem in one day. I am in the public all day for my job and could not have this be a prolonged problem.. I am glad I found them and will definetly be back for my regular dental check-ups.
I have been going to Dental Renaissance, Dr. Pollard, for years. I really appreciate his professional demeanor. I have my teeth cleaned on a regular basis. His hygenists are top notch. The office staff are all professional and courteous. I have recommended his office to coworkers and friends alike that are searching for a good dentist.
I used Dr. Pollard for several years and thought he was great UNTIL I had a problem. He had already done the major work on my crown and I was just supposed to have the permanent crown glued on. They put me in the chair, gave me Novocain and nitrous and then left me for an hour and a half. During that time the assistant fiddled around with buffing and shaping the crown. When he gave me the shot, I had a searing pain in my jaw, but I just ignored it. When I got home after 2 hours in the chair, the numbness began to wear off and my jaw really HURT. I looked in the mirror and my face was swollen and bruised. I tried to call his office, but only got the recording about hours and it said to leave a message, which I did. This was Thursday night, they were closed on Friday and the weekend so I suffered all weekend and had to take some of my husbands pain medicine. I'm not talking about a little discoloration. My face was back and blue for nearly a month. I even had a woman try to refer me to a counselor for battered women! When I called on Monday, the office staff apologized. I explained that I was very unhappy, not only about the fact that my entire jaw was swollen, but with the unprofessional way I had been treated.(I could hear the assistants bickering about who had to stay to finish me since he was running so late.) I said that I would like to speak to Dr. Pollard and was told he would return my call. Instead, the very assistant who had been complaining called back and tried to justify everything. I told her that I would like to speak to Dr. Pollard himself. I felt he owed me that much. I wasn't irate or anything, but I had spent thousands of dollars on dental work there and had gone there for years and I felt he should have at least shown the courtesy of calling to say he was sorry I had had such a bad experience. He never called. Later when they called to remind my husband of his appointment, he said he thought the way they had treated me was terrible and that Dr. Pollard should have called me. Again no response. I really liked Dr. Pollard and was really hurt more than angry that he would just blow me off that way.
I had a tooth that had broken and I went to see Dr. Pollard. He gave me options so I could decide what was best for me. I felt he truly cares about his patients. He and all of his staff were extremely kind and gentle. I also feel their prices are reasonable. Dr. Pollard not only can perform general dentist procedures but also oral surgery procedrues as well.

I had a cerec crown done in his office on Feb 11. It was a really good experience. I had know idea going in that I would walk out with a crown that day. I just assumed it would be do the prep, wait two weeks and go back for the final fitting. I was really impressed. The next day there was no soreness at all.

Dental Renaissance in Plano has a great cosmetic dentist, Dr. Pollard. I love the new technology for the cerec (same day) crowns. Dr. Pollard did a cerec crown for me & it is absolutely beautiful! The procedure was less invasive than other crowns, it?s much stronger than the other crowns, I never had to have a temporary crown and they don?t cost more than the other crowns. His artistic ability & keen eye for shade differences has made this crown look like a natural tooth. Thank you, Dr. Pollard

I have been a patient of Dental Renaissance Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in Plano for several years and have always had great service. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I had been unhappy with my "Smile" when I would see my pictures and finally decided to do something about it. Dr Pollard placed beautiful Porcelain crowns on my front 4 teeth and now I enjoy smiling!
All my friends keep telling me what a beautiful smile I have and they don't know they aren't natural. You can see my smile on their website, I think it is the last one in the Smile Gallery.

I used the services of Dr. Pollard because I used to work right next door. It was more of a convenience to me than anything else, plus, Dr. Pollard had provided services to several of my co workers and they recommended him very highly.
Working next door, I always noticed that his personnel always seemed to be very happy, which is great as a patient because it reflects in their service to you. The building is modern, but no so much that you feel in a post modern art dream, more of Texas Style modern. The staff is ever so attentive, friendly, cordial. Just first class service all around.
The also have the latest equipment and techniques which truly makes you feel at ease.
It is an absolutely non threatening environment, so much so, that never in my life before I felt happy about having a doctor's appointment, much less a dentist appointment.
I went there for routine cleanings and also removal of two molars that were coming out shifted as a result of a previous intervention somewhere else. It was a 2 hour long procedure, performed personally by Dr. Pollard. The procedure itself didn't hurt much, in fact, I didn't even noticed that so much time had passed.
The dental technicians are also very nice, cordial and experienced and even when you are getting a simple routing cleaning, Dr. Pollard stops by to check how is everything going and to say hi. You can tell Dr. Pollard is a man who truly enjoys his practice.
I always recommend Dr. Pollard's practice to anyone I know, including family and friends, and I plan on taking my 2 year old there when the time comes (when she is about 3).
No regrets at all and my maximum recommendations.

I have been visiting Dental Renaissance for the past 2 years, I am very pleased with Dr. Patel and Dr. Pollard and the staff at Dental Renaissance. I moved to Plano 5 years ago and was with another denist in Plano, I am sooo glad that I found Dental Renaissance - whether its a teeth cleaning or a more serious dental procedure, I trust that I will be cared for with the upmost importance.
