This is a Houston treat (on a dvd of best things in Houston). Great sandwiches or other vietnamese food and very inexpensive. $2 for a sandwich is unheard of these days. Try it!
My friend has parties that she caters w/these sandwiches and everyone love them (also how we discovered this great place).

this place is pretty good. like the sandwiches and like the roast pork. sometimes the waitresses have an attitude but hey this is not a fine dining kinda place. this is a cheap place to have a quick lunch or bite. $ 2 sandwiches not bad. Avoid going around noon. service is not as good.

This place serves some of the best vietnamese food I know of in Houston. The vietnamese sandwiches are awesome and made to order. There are a lot of variations and types of meat to put in the sandwich. The bread is always fresh, and the prices are very good compared to other places in Houston. Like many other Vietnamese places, the place itself can be a little sketchy-looking and not classy, but for cheap good food, I can't really complain.
Also, the smoothies here are made out of real fruit so give them a try, and they're pretty cheap. It's worth the $2.00.
