Ratings_icons Basic, clean accommodations

Basic, clean accommodations within walking distance of downtown Evanston and Northwestern University. Located 4 blocks from Lake Michigan and about 20 minutes to downtown Chicago (you can walk to the purple line CTA line or the Metra station for trains to the city). Several restaurants across the street and within a short walk. Small, rather univiting pool on a concrete deck. The water was freezing cold on my visit and no atmosphere/landscaping to speak of, just a couple of chairs nearby. Certainly no luxury here, but fine for the budget conscious as hotels in Evanston tend to be very pricey.

PROS: Clean, walk to restaurants/bars/shops
CONS: No extra ammenities/luxuries here

We stayed here for a wedding. The people at the desk were friendly- that was for sure!! the hotel was dirty, and old- many of the Elevators were out of service- carrying kids and luggage up stairs is no fun!!! any way- the rooms were ok- they were 'sleepable" the bathrooms were stained and not clean- I think we were lucky to have two towels in the bathroom- The only toilettry that came with the room was shampoo- no conditioner, no lotion, no hand towels, no soap- it is a good thing I packed our own!

The room was over priced- you had to pay $14 a night to park in there complex- and because this hotel was in a city- good luck finding street parking. Also, you have to pay $4 per person for a continental breakfast- usually if a hotel has a continental breakfast it is included- from my experience- and this was NOTHING special- bagels, coffee, milk, OJ, butter, cream cheese- THAT' S IT. just another fee that they can charge you with.

Be prepared for the FEEs this place charges you.

I'm getting the heebee jeebee's just thinking about this place!

Pros: it had a bed

Cons: too expensive, and the charges never end...
