Apple Haus of Long Grove

Was just at the Long Grove Chocolate Fest. Great time! Bought a Baby Davy's caramel topped apple pie for $6.00. The caramel topping was good. The crust stunk. It was dry and tastless. The pie contained very few apples and really should have been call a hollow pie. No apples plus no flavor equals a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and pass this place by. Yuck! I want my money back.

The historic and charming town of Long Grove hosts an apple festival each fall, but avoid the crowds and go to Apple Haus anytime during the year. You'll find delicious baked goods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cider, jams and other apple and non-apple treats and gifts. Cider donuts and apple cinnamon bread are soft, moist, and absolutely heavenly. Don't miss the apple brown-bag pie, in large and small sizes. Lines can be incredibly long during summer weekends and festival periods.
