When I walked in to the main office to enroll my son, I was rather abruptly given paperwork to fill out by a blond haired woman looking to be around 40-ish. She went into the next room and started complaining to her co-workers in a loud voice, saying things like "So I told her, do YOU go to sleep every night exhausted? Well I DO!" I thought this was extremely unprofessional in an educational environment.
When she came back out she handed me another paper, then buried her head in paperwork. When I was done, I turned the paper around to face her, looked up, and waited. After a few minutes, she looked up and said, "Well, are you done, or just thinking about something?" Rather than start an argument with a women who I felt was likely to take her frustrations out on my son to get back at me, I simply said, "I'm done."
At this point, I was ready to pull my son out of the school, but I walked over to the classroom to check it out. I found the teachers to be very caring and enthusiastic, which I suppose is more important in the short term than a cranky administrator. I am, however, worried about this place in general. I will definitely keep my eyes and ears open to make sure things are okay in the actual classrooms.
