I have taken many kickboxing classes all over the country (Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, Orlando)... Javier Diaz is the real thing. Many kickboxing classes either "err" on the side of technique, which means you get less of a cardio workout... or "err" on the side of cardio, and pretty much throw technique out the window. Javier Diaz's class is an excellent balance of both. Beginners... don't be intimidated, it takes a while to learn... but it is the most FUN workout ever. And advanced people, Javier is legit when it comes to muay thai style workouts, and he trains people who want to fight and spar also. If you're lucky, he'll show you one of his past fights on dvd. Watch that ax kick!!!
I'm glad that Javier opened a new studio, as I took classes with him at his previous studio in the valley and it was the best workout I'd ever had! He is very patient, yet motivating at the same time. If you really want a great workout, you should try it out - it's fun too! Be careful - as you might get 'addicted' to this kind of workout; it's never boring.
Owner, Javier Diez is the real deal; his THREE CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS on display in his gym proves it. A typcial class consists of boxing and kickboxing routines for about 40 minutes followed by boot camp type conditioning to further enhance your strength and endurance - all taught by Javier. Classes sizes are small, almost semi-private in nature, which really helps you learn. After one of Javier's classes, you've worked out!!! Bring lots of water!!
This is a brand new gym that was just opened up by Javier Diaz, who is a world-reknowned kick boxing champion and trainer. The gym is very small and intimate, guaranteeing you time with Javier to get individual attention. While a world-class athlete and fighter, javier isn't like those yelling at you kind of trainers. He tailors his teaching to fit each student, challenging the expert and encouaraging the nervous. If you want serious training, this is your only and best choice.
