Ratings_icons Troy Internal Medicine is A TERRIBLE OFFICE!!!!

James D.

THIS OFFICE IS TERRIBLE!!!! WAIT TIMES ON THE PHONE LAST TIME I CALLED 25MINS!!!!! I WAS HUNG UP ON, TRANSFERED TO WRONG DEPARTMENTS AND NO ONE SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON!!! I ASKED FOR THE OFFICE MANAGER AND OF COURSE, SHE WAS OUT. THE OFFICE HAS 19 DOCS AND THEY HAVE LIKE 10 PEOPLE WORKING FOR THE EINTIRE PLACE. You HAVE TO WAIT TO BE SEEN FOR AT LEAST 45MIN IF NOT LONGER AND ITS JUST CRAZY! I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ANYONE!!! IF YOU WANT TO GET THROUGH ON THE PHONES FORGET IT, PLAN AT LEAST 30MIN TO TALK TO A HUMAN AND PLAN ON AT LEAST 45MIN TO SEE YOUR DOC. IM CHANGING OUT OF THE PRACTICE AND SO IS MY FAMILY. I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW TERRIBLE THIS OFFICE REALLY IS!!!!

Ratings_icons Troy Internal Medicine is NOT what it used to be!

Ralph G.

After years of seeing our family physician at Troy Int Med. I have decided to look elsewhere for a new doctor. My wife is an employee of Beaumont and the consensus is they are after money! Patient care is secondary. Today I waited an hour to see a doctor. He saw me for about ten minutes - tops! E-scripted a RX (supposedly) to local pharmacy. It's now seven hours later and NO ONE can find my Rx!!! I've been on telphone all afternoon.
For sure, we are looking for another family physician at a smaller office. Nineteen doctors is way too many. I completely agree with the other comments that the front office is a joke. I'm going to write a letter to Una Source and let people at Beaumont know that NO, we do NOT have a Beaumont doctor (in answer to their nauseating advertising).

Ratings_icons Troy Internal Medicine is THE WORST MEDICAL OFFICE IN THE WORLD

JILL j.

I just started going to the practice (dr Price) and I must say the office is WAY to large (19 drs) they act like you are just a number going through a factory there!! ITs awful there. I had to wait at least 15min to make my appt. The girl was very RUDE to me while making it and rushed me off the phone. I would NEVER recomend this office. THEY NEED MORE HELP!!! ITS NOT RIGHT TO WAIT 15 MIN JUST TO TALK TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ratings_icons Worst Medical Office Ever - they are just concerned about money

jen u.

I am a physician and went to this office to get an annual physical. The front office is awful. They are so rude and if you want to know lab results - forget it. I had to call multiple times to have them read my lab results to me over the phone and they seemed annoyed to do so (hey i am a physician and i want to know my lab values). Also the doctor (Carlin) was awful. I didn't feel like she cared about getting to know me or any of my medical problems. She spent all of 5 minutes with me then referred me for a bunch of imaging studies that I did not need. Also I just recently got my bill and I would bet that they are charging for services not provided. I had a great physician for years but she is in another hospital network, and I am thinking of paying extra out of pocket money to go back to her. I would NEVER go back to troy internal medicine.

Ratings_icons Troy Internal Medicine needs better office staff

I have been a patient here for at least 6 yrs. I see Dr Lumberg and like him, however I also have had problems w/ the front office staff/ customer service. They are not friendly/helpful or quick and yes very long phone waits!

Ratings_icons Troy Internal Medicine needs better office management.

Karen Lockwood appears to be a good doctor.I've only seen her once but I like her very much. My problem is with the front office. Wait times on the phone are horrendous. When I was finally connected to a person, I asked for a copy of my blood work results. They said they would call me that afternoon to let me know when I could pick them up. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard from them and I've been unable to get through on the phone line to find out what's going on. Good thing I don't actually need to make an appointment. I may have to change doctors because I'm unable to get in touch with this office. Major problem with customer service.

I recently took my mother-in-law to Dr. Karen Lockwood, MD of Troy Internal Medicine for a new patient physical. She and all of her staff with thorough, efficient and highly professional. Troy Internal Medicine was able to expedite the long physical process by being to perform a mammogram and bone density test on site. What tremendous convenience not to have to schedule those tests separately!

Ratings_icons Great Doctors

Both my husband and I have been going here for the past few years. We see different doctors and are happy with both. There are many doctors at this office and it is always busy although you are never waiting long. They also make it convenient for other testing as they have xrays, mammography and ultrasound etc. on site.

Ratings_icons Great doctors, great organization

Dianne S.

I've been going to Troy Internal Medicine for around 15 - 20 years. I've seen several doctors both personally and professionally with some previous patients of mine (I was a nurse - changed professions, though). All of the staff has been very professional with great bedside manners, thorough and you don't have to wait long to get in to see them particularly once you are an established patient with one doctor. Pharmacies in the area have told me that this organization is 'top notch' and that is my sentiments as well. Now with being larger than they were several years ago they can offer almost a wide variety of x-rays, ultrasounds, etc. in their office building which can be quicker than trying to get in at your local hospital. I love my doctor and wouldn't change physicians for a minute... and I'm pretty persnickety when it comes to physicians! Anyway, great place to go!

PROS: Professional, thorough physicians who are friendly and compassionate.
CONS: Can't think of any.... really!

Ratings_icons You want to go to these physicians

C P. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 31

Troy Internal Medicine is a GREAT establishment. They are easily found in Troy at Long Lake and Crooks Road. There are several doctors in the practice, and the office is always busy, but they always manage to get me in to see the doctor in a reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a physician.

PROS: Location and quality of service
CONS: None that I can think of
