I do not write reviews but I just had to write about my experience at this office. First when I called I spoke to a very nice young sounding girl and she really took the time to explain the office, the doctors there and did not make me feel rushed or that i was taking to much of her time. She was very helpful and friendly. I came to see a dr. for a physical and he was very nice. I like that they can do testing right in the office and I did not have to go to an outside place for my mammogram

I am so sad to see all of the negative reviews on this page!!! When I called to make my new patient appointment I waited about 3 minutes to get through and the girl I spoke to was soo friendly and sweet to me and helped me to get in right away for my sinus infection. When I came in I was helped right away and within minutes I saw my dr. This office is big but its office staff is very nice and helpful!!! I would highly recommend this office to anyone that wanted awesome service

Horrible! I had all the problems stated in other negative reviews. I initially visited in December for abdominal discomfort(pain, nausea bloating). Immediately the nurse and doc became fixated on gallbladder. I told them that was unlikely. I'm young, healthy eater, etc. They wanted to do ultrasound and xray at office. Xray prior to ultrasound to r/o any blockages. I told them my husband and I were TTC, so they drew blood, ran a pregnancy test and said it was negative. Sent me for imaging. Both showed nothing. Still fixated on gallbladder, ordered CT scan and Hida scan. Said could be problem in bile ducts which can cause major problems. I said are you sure it's not gastrointestinal? That's what it feels like. Nah, gallbladder. Went for CT, but not Hida, didn't like idea of drinking radioactive cocktail. All normal, except when I got the report I noticed it said "diffuse prominence of lower uterine segment". I asked what that meant and was told I was probably getting ready to start my period. Then, he suggested a endoscopy of stomach. I thought let's wait a bit, see if it resolves before going that invasive. Good thing I did because I was pregnant...4 weeks. They said the HCG probably wasn't high enough to show up in urine, I said thought you did blood, nope urine. Thanks for radiating my embryo! 16 weeks later, I get a horrible sore throat. My ob says get a rapid strep test, and see your primary to determine if we need antibiotics. I call, ask to see different doc. Show up, same doc. Does rapid culture, comes back negative. I say, are you sure, my sore throat just started today, is it accurate? He says I'll send it out for a regular throat culture to make sure. It'll take 1-2 days. That was Tuesday. Its just a cold, grin and bare it, drink milkshakes. By Thursday, my throat was much worse, barely able to swallow, no voice. I call. Lady calls back and says culture is not back, won't be till next week? Huh? They are supposed to take 2 days. So, I explain I'm getting worse, pregnant, don't want it getting out of control because of the baby, I can't swallow blah blah. She says, you know, you really shouldn't be talking. He said it's just a cold, you have to wait it out. I ended up hanging up on her. I probably shouldn't have went back, and I won't make that mistake again.

where to start?! OMG I absolutely hate.. HATE this office! I just had to write a review on here to warn anyone else to NOT go here, call here or try to be seen within the next 6 months. First, you have to have a physical to be seen, no sick same day visits.. Second, you are on hold to make the stupid appointment for at least 20mins (like I was) and Third, you spend 5 minutes with the dr and have to BEG for your results that took for me 2 weeks to get after 5 calls to get my blood results. This office has something like 20 doctors and NO help. I asked the girl on the phone how many people answer she said "we are to have 6 but today is 3" 3????1111 are you kidding me!!! She said they are begging for more help but the office manager wont give it to them. This is a very poorly staffed office and is just terrible!!! DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE!!!

My doctor at Troy Internal Medicine has been most helpful, professional, patient and informative. She has responded to me and taken the appropriate time with me to meet my needs. I am very happy here!

I have also been sadly disappointed with the service at the office. The doctor that I have is okay, but I never end up seeing her anyways. The wait on the phone is AWFUL! I spent my entire 40 minute lunch trying to schedule an appointment. If your time means anything to you, I would not advise becoming a "patient".

Wow, where to start. This practice makes and art out of keeping you on hold when you need an appointment. They also do not allow you to switch doctors within the practice. Therefore, because I did not care for my doctor, I am going to find a new practice rather than move to another physician. Do not recommend.

After reading so many negative comments re Troy Internal Medicine I felt I just had to comment. Did not particularly want to 'sign up' with insider pages to do it but feel its a must. I have been going to Troy Internal Medicine for many years, my dr. is Dr. Dubek. I have never felt rushed by her, or like I am a number. She always listens and I trust her completely. Very, very conscientious. I'm always surprised by how quickly she gets back with me re lab results, that's right, she always calls me back. Nurses are great. At times I have had to see a different doctor if she's not in and that too has been no problem, of course I always like my own doc best. They can do most tests right there in the office and the pros that work in that area are kind and efficient. As for the front office, sometimes it takes a while to get a phone answered, but its a business, a very busy one. Very busy, because they have so many patients, with plenty of doctors and resources to take care of them. So yeah, the phones are bound to get backed up at times, small inconvenience for such a great team.

I have been going to Dr. Biddinger at Troy Internal Medicine for 10 years. Lately , with each visit I get more disappointed. I had a physical exam in early July. Typically, my doctor calls two weeks after the appontment with my blood work results. It is now the end of August and I still do not have any results. I called the office three times (once every week for the first three weeks) in August, requesting that Dr. Biddinger give me a call. Each time the receptionist took my info and then I waited with no courtesy of a call back. I even requested my results be sent in the mail (previously the office did this) and still no word. This practice is "McTroy Internal Medicine". Total meat market with no consideration for their patients.

I have been a patient at Troy Internal Medicine for about twenty years. While their practice is large, and the phone wait time is sometimes a few minutes, the level of professionalism and expertise is very high and I am confident that I am getting up to date medical treatment from top level doctors. Convenience is nice, but quality care means much more

I just had to vent about the TERRIBLE office this is!!!! I was on hold for 15 mins and then was hung up on before i could talk to someone. I called back and was on hold for another 10 min and then finally got to an operator who i might add was very RUDE! I got an appt for a physical with my doc 6 months out for an early morning appt and was told thats how it is. I am so mad about this office, the staff is rude, you can never talk to a person let alone the office manager who i dont think even exists !!!! Please, if you care about yourself, your family or loved ones, DO NOT GO TO TROY INTERNAL MEDICINE. They have something like 25 docs there and its just like you are a number there and they could care less about you!!!!!

As part of my college internship with the automotive industry, I worked in a plant where I witnessed what it was like to work on an assembly line. At Troy Internal Medicine, as a patient you feel like a part on the assembly line. You are herded through each step of their process. The receptionists are beyond detached and just plain rude. It is almost as though they glean some power from having control over you. One redeeming aspect of Troy Internal Medicine are the nurses. The nurses have always been kind. Even the long hallways are austere. You always feel like a part and not a patient. And I am typically an advocate of process - I love the process Tyler, Dumas and Reyes use in their ortho practice. As a result, you don't wait - you sign yourself in on the computer and within 5 minutes you are in your chair. Troy Internal Medicine has removed any of the "human" aspect of medicine.

As a TIM patient for many years, the office has grown significantly. There are times when I would prefer a smaller office. However, overall I believe they provide good care and have a qualified, professional staff.
A good relationship with your primary care doctor will likely get you the best medical care.

I just started going to the practice (dr Price) and I must say the office is WAY to large (19 drs) they act like you are just a number going through a factory there!! ITs awful there. I had to wait at least 15min to make my appt. The girl was very RUDE to me while making it and rushed me off the phone. I would NEVER recomend this office. THEY NEED MORE HELP!!! ITS NOT RIGHT TO WAIT 15 MIN JUST TO TALK TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a physician and went to this office to get an annual physical. The front office is awful. They are so rude and if you want to know lab results - forget it. I had to call multiple times to have them read my lab results to me over the phone and they seemed annoyed to do so (hey i am a physician and i want to know my lab values). Also the doctor (Carlin) was awful. I didn't feel like she cared about getting to know me or any of my medical problems. She spent all of 5 minutes with me then referred me for a bunch of imaging studies that I did not need. Also I just recently got my bill and I would bet that they are charging for services not provided. I had a great physician for years but she is in another hospital network, and I am thinking of paying extra out of pocket money to go back to her. I would NEVER go back to troy internal medicine.

Karen Lockwood appears to be a good doctor.I've only seen her once but I like her very much. My problem is with the front office. Wait times on the phone are horrendous. When I was finally connected to a person, I asked for a copy of my blood work results. They said they would call me that afternoon to let me know when I could pick them up. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard from them and I've been unable to get through on the phone line to find out what's going on. Good thing I don't actually need to make an appointment. I may have to change doctors because I'm unable to get in touch with this office. Major problem with customer service.

I recently took my mother-in-law to Dr. Karen Lockwood, MD of Troy Internal Medicine for a new patient physical. She and all of her staff with thorough, efficient and highly professional. Troy Internal Medicine was able to expedite the long physical process by being to perform a mammogram and bone density test on site. What tremendous convenience not to have to schedule those tests separately!

Both my husband and I have been going here for the past few years. We see different doctors and are happy with both. There are many doctors at this office and it is always busy although you are never waiting long. They also make it convenient for other testing as they have xrays, mammography and ultrasound etc. on site.

I've been going to Troy Internal Medicine for around 15 - 20 years. I've seen several doctors both personally and professionally with some previous patients of mine (I was a nurse - changed professions, though). All of the staff has been very professional with great bedside manners, thorough and you don't have to wait long to get in to see them particularly once you are an established patient with one doctor. Pharmacies in the area have told me that this organization is 'top notch' and that is my sentiments as well. Now with being larger than they were several years ago they can offer almost a wide variety of x-rays, ultrasounds, etc. in their office building which can be quicker than trying to get in at your local hospital. I love my doctor and wouldn't change physicians for a minute... and I'm pretty persnickety when it comes to physicians! Anyway, great place to go!

PROS: Professional, thorough physicians who are friendly and compassionate.
CONS: Can't think of any.... really!

Troy Internal Medicine is a GREAT establishment. They are easily found in Troy at Long Lake and Crooks Road. There are several doctors in the practice, and the office is always busy, but they always manage to get me in to see the doctor in a reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a physician.

PROS: Location and quality of service
CONS: None that I can think of
