I will never, ever go back to this farm again. The owner, Kim, is horribly unprofessional and the facility is unsafe. Do not bring your family here. I will never go back.

Purchased a Sugar Maple Tree from Casola, brought it home and planted it text book dug the hole 4x the size of the root ball etc. Watered it well and three weeks later it died. Called them and they didn't want to know me. Never again i will stick with Brock Farms on rt 9, they give a 1 year warranty on their trees and they had the same prices $199.00. I wonder how they are still in business

You can do very well here if you know what you are looking for and have the slightest idea how expensive something should be. Plants are typically healthy and if you are buying more than a few you should try and haggle a bit. This will be easier, again, if you actually shop around a little to see what the prices are like.

Haggling doesn't apply as much during 30% or 50% off sales...unless the sale price is still higher than it should be - 30% off typically runs from July all the way until Labor Day, when everything goes down the 50% off. This will run until November or so.

Halloween is not what this place is about..it's insanely packed with people and cars..basically a nightmare. Prices are high, lines are long. I highly recommend being there about 10am-11am to beat the insanity. I cannot speak for the haunted hayrides, I have never been on them.

To sum it up though, this place is great as a nursery...the pumpkin and hayride stuff really exploded over the past few years and they literally cannot handle the crowds. Locals who know what they are doing avoid this place in the fall (and Rt 34 for that matter).

Know what things should cost (get an idea by shopping around!) and you'll do fine here

Nope. Never again. Crowded grounds, rude and incompetent employees. You would think that if you're paying four times as much for pumpkins than in a grocery store the employees at the farm would be falling all over you to help you out and make your visit a pleasurable one, but it just wasn't so @ Casola Farms. Granted, there were many visitors there, but the concession employees could hardly handle simple tasks, and when they were on task, they were rude when they spoke to me, charged me the wrong price, and slow to give me what I ordered. I had to wait on a separate line for over five minutes just to get my drink order. Want to pay with a credit card in their shop? Good luck. Most registers don't take them. You have to stand on one long line to ring up your stuff, then stand on another long line in a separate area to pay with your card... Great system. Next year we're going somewhere else and spending our money there. I advise you to do the same.

Purchased over $600 worth of Leyland Cypress and various shrubbery last spring. They planted everything. Now everything besides one shrub is COMPLETELY dead during this winter, brown and now rotting.

Currently arguing with the unfriendly owner for replacement/reimbursement, and getting no where.

BUYER BEWARE: Bought an overly expensive Christmas Tree from them, after telling one of their "helpful" young employees to wait for me to come back from paying before putting the tree on my car, they went ahead anyway. This resulted in me returning to a new luxury car with a completely scratched up paint job, and it looked like the tree must have fallen off and scratched the driver side during the process. The kid would not own up to it, the non-english speaking work force helping him only complicated matters. The boss "Tony" told me off, and said to leave his property with some distasteful language. NEVER AGAIN. Go across the street.

My mom and I decided to do some personal landscaping at our home, and luckily Casola Farms had a wide variety of plants and trees for us to plant. Compared to other similar stores, Casola's trees and plants are both cheaper and healthier than other farms'.

I've been going to Casola Farms for over 5 years now and with the recent increase in price of agricultural items, Casola's produce remains at a consistently affordable price. In addition, the family-run atmosphere is immediately apparent when you arrive - they really make you feel like a welcome customer there.

A Casola Farms is more than just a nursery. It's a venue. You will find the most gorgeous flowers, plants and trees here, as well as breathtaking, hard to find exotic greenery. They have various events at Casola year-round, as well, including a pumpkin patch, haunted hay ride, tractor rides, corn mazes, pony rides, a petting zoo, and even a western, rootin', tootin' frontier show on the weekends. Many of the local schools take class trips here in the fall. During the holiday season, they have beautiful live Christmas trees and pointsettia plants, as well as homemade gourmet jams, jellies, sauces, and more. My whole family loves this place!

PROS: great selection and great fun
CONS: none
