3 Stars: go for the lectures! (by Ginny D.)

The Margaret Mitchell House is a museum, but my favorite thing would be the lectures. Authors (and other notables) give lectures. Recently the Margaret Mitchell House hosted Mary Kay Andrews, author of Savannah Breeze. Admission is usually very reasonable.

3 Stars: Not Sure about the Authenticity, but Worth Seeing (by Rhetta A.)

Margaret Mitchell actually didn't live in this whole house. She lived in Apartment #1, and she called it "The Dump." I'm not really sure whether she would recognize it all cleaned up and renovated. But it does provide a look at some interesting and unusual artifacts, such as the doorway to the movie "Tara." And The Center for Southern Literature, part of the museum, offers educational programs and talks by important Southern writers, plus writing classes for adults and children.

PROS: unusual and interesting exhibits and artifacts, educational programs
CONS: Considerably improvements lead to dubious authenticity (in my opinion)
