William is the BEST!!
by Allyson M.
I've been seeing William for 3+ years for cuts and colors. Not only does he do a wonderful job on my hair, he's also super sweet and great to talk to during the 2 hours I'm there. He's nailed the color and I love the way my hair grows out -- a good sign of a great cut! The only reason I'm not giving this review 5 stars is I wish it wasn't so expensive and that the wonderful head massage (given by his assistant) lasted a little bit longer. This by the way has nothing to do with William! Thanks for making me look and feel good.

SEVEN, Bellevue is wonderful when you find the right person for you!!
by M H.
I had some bad experiences and some good. April at the Bellevue Seven is AWESOME! I was trying to grow out my hair from having it very short throughout my life and she worked with me about what would look good and how to style it. It's always hard to grow your hair out but I didn't have a style during this phase that looked bad! She's my all time favorite!!! She always does a consult with me everytime I go. She's always pleasant and easy to talk to. I recommend April if you want to try Seven!!

SEVEN, Bellevue is overrated and overpriced
by Sue B.
They are more interested in reeling in new clients at the cost of losing one of their best clients. I've been going to Seven Bellevue for about a year and a half. Ive been seeing the same stylist and the results were pretty good. At my last appointment I was rushed through the color and cut because my stylist needed to make time for a consultation with a new client. The problem is that somewhere in the rush the incorrect color was mixed and applied to my hair. I was whisked out of there after the blow dry only to find out when I got home that my roots and ends of my hair turned orange and the cut was terrible. I called and was told to come back in the next day to get it fixed which I did. I got more color applied to my hair and my stylist whacked off my bangs (and I mean whacked) making it look like she put a bowl over my head and cut my bangs. Just awful! Also, the color was almost black and looked terrible on me. When I told her it was too dark she said well, it is what it is. WHAT? I've been paying $200 plus tip every 3 weeks and that's how they respond when they mess up. I was so embarrassed to go to work the next day. I had to find someone else quick to fix her mess which cost me another $250.00 because my new stylist had to bleach my hair to remove some of the color. All I can say is SEVEN IS WHAT IT IS, a good place to get a lousy color and an even worse haircut at very high prices. Good luck with that!

I don't know what's wrong with the earlier trash-talking reviewer, but TRACY SPURRELL is god's gift to curly hair.
If you're like me, your first meeting with her will feel a little bit like a therapy session, talking about the highs and the lows or your tormented relationship with your curly hair.
She's very knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly honest about what will (and will not) work for your hair. Ever since she started cutting my hair I have been getting several compliments a week on it. I told her recently that, should I become unemployed and need to cut down on family expenses, that seeing her for my hair would be the very last budget adjustment I would make. Her haircuts do more for my self image than any piece of clothing or pair of shoes I've ever purchased.
TRACY SPURRELL = AWESOME.

Bad news times 7
by Jean M.
First, beware that this salon is pushing out people from their beauty school at a rate of every 4-6 weeks and they will have these trainees styling your hair while you pay a premium price.
I had one good and several bad experiences at this salon. Owner Rodger "fixed" one cut by simply snipping equal bits off the existing cut. Is this styling? The stylist doies not blow out your haircut, but someone in the training program do this, They are supposed to be able to tell what the style is by looking at your wet cut. One girl took 45 minutes to do a mediocre blow out. I went back to Rodger for a second cut, figuring he would deliver on salon promises and I asked for the samw.style as before. His loaded-with-attitude response: "How I cut depends on how I felt when I got up in the morning." Huh? This salon promises a perfect results every time. Results suggest he is not much of a designer.
One color experience was negative, one was great. But on the second trip to the better designer, everything went south and she colored over all the good results with a too dark color that covered all the highlights I paid (a lot) for the previous trip. When I went in to talk to the designer, hoping to find a solution and maintain a relationship, they put their bouncer (yes really--so they apparently need one) on me and forced me to have this conversation in the entry to the salon, then, although I had not even raised my voice, they called mall security and told me to leave. GReat guarantee of their results.
This salon promises a lot but mostly delivers a DJ and some Barbie girls serving water and selling products. And you will buy products--they use at least 6 products to style your hair. All reek of vanilla. All make your hair limp (until you get all 6 in and then your hair is pretty stiff).
My next hair stylist says her shop does a lot of re-dos on people who went here. Basically, after spending around $1000 at their salon, I had to start over. This place does not live up to reputation.
Not sure how this place got it's reputation, but seems to be based on the DJ concept (hip and all) rather than the styling expertise. There is one good designer there and one sometimes good color artist. But nobody delivers on the promise and their 'fix' is to tell you to leave an never come back.

Gimmicky and Over hyped
by Lynn K.
I went in with the thought that at SEVEN the stylist would transform my hair. The cut I got was pretty much the same one everyone gives me so I was a bit disappointed. To me the atmosphere of the place is of a salon that's trying too hard to be trendy but failing. The cost was higher than I normally pay but the stylist skill wasn't any higher. I did get offered a free baked good which I declined so I can't say if that is what accounted for the price difference.

Disappointed
by Theresa F.
I heard a great deal about the 7 Salon and really needed to get my hair cut. When making the appointment I said I wanted someone experienced, the person on the line said that April has midrange experience at the salon and would take care of me. I spoke with April before the cut and felt pretty comfortable that she was listening to my needs. The cut itself took about 15 minutes, my hair is pretty long. She dried my hair by blowing it around, without using a brush. I thought that after the interesting drying experience, she would pull out the actual "styling" scissors, but apparently, she was done. I was a bit humiliated walking around with crazy looking frizzy hair. I've never encountered anyone working at a salon that does not know how to use a hair dryer.
April didn't do a bad job, just not a good one. The price was $65, which I find pretty reasonable, except I received a $10 haircut.

Worst experience at a salon in a very long time.
by j b.
I visited the 7 Salon in Bellevue last week. April was my stylist. I am very disappointed in the final result. I specifically explained that I have been growing my hair out for my wedding, and that I had no interest in going short again. I also expressed concerns about cowlicks that take control of my hair it cut shorter than 3 inches. April turned my back to the mirror and went at my hair...she then began explaining the benefits of coloring my hair...which included increased volume and control of my natural waves. I have stick straight hair...I responded that I would be interested in adding color...but wanted to avoid red hair. She pointed out that I would look great with that color, as she pointed out a beautiful stylist with BRIGHT RED hair. This is when I started really getting worried...I knew she wasn't listening to me. When I walked to the reception desk she continued to tell me how great she is at determining what her client wants...clearly, I am not a client of hers. I want to emphasize, I normally suck up a bad style and move forward...it grows back. Unfortunately, I will be a short haired bride in a matter of 3 weeks (not a redhead)...my ring bearer, my incredibly honest and outspoken 5 year old nephew provided me with an unsolicited review of April's work...he said "what happened to your hair, it is all uneven..and is sticking straight up...you used to be pretty." I have no doubt that you can get a great style at 7....word to the wise...stay away from APRIL.

TRY IT OUT!
by Stephen F.
LOVE LOVE Seven! The atmosphere and vibe of the salon is refreshing. This is not your sterile kumbaya Barbie doll smoky incense salon playing Yanni on a lame juke box this is a salon that gives you a full and exciting experience every time you visit! A live DJ spins fun and energetic music, the spotlight lighting makes you feel like a movie star, and stop by the barista bar for a complimentary espresso before meeting your (inevitably) gorgeous stylist that will be helpful, insightful and genuinely personable!
I have been seeing my amazing stylist TRACY SPURRELL for nearly 15 years! I followed her from a different salon in Seattle to the Bellevue Seven. You know, when you find the BEST in a hairdresser, you must follow them wherever they move! Qualities that I have most admired in my Tracy include her high level of professionalism, her ability to listen to her clients, make relevant and reasonable recommendations for your hair, and most important consistency! I have never received a bad cut from her in all the years I have been with her!
Being a quite large salon, I know there are many qualified stylists at Seven that will provide excellent hair service but its the addition of the ambiance and overall flavor of the salon that just adds to my monthly appointments with Tracy. TRY IT OUT!

I Heart Tracy!
by Lola P.
The best hair stylist on the planet, Tracy Spurrell, works magic at the Seven Salon in Bell Square. I originally met Tracy at a salon in Seattle, when she moved to the Eastside I followed her there, ... and Bellevue is no easy commute for me.
She consistently turns a little into a lot (I have very short hair.) She understands my personality, what I want to present, gives excellent suggestions and always provides her honest opinion when something just won't work.
You can get cuter! Go see Tracy. Believe your eyes.
Should I ever have to start trimming my budget, a haircut from Tracy will be the last thing to go.
I am her client for life.

ENOUGH TRASH TALKING
by nadji b.
I have been a customer of Tracy's for over a decade. I travel from Nevada to Washington just so she can do MY hair. Tracy is extremely professional and most importantly she is a seasoned stylist and master colorist. I have worked with Tracy on photo shoots, weddings and various multimedia projects where her knowledge and level of expertise is uncompromising. Whomever is speaking poorly on this website about this amazing woman needs to understand that Tracy has earned her bragging rights and is operating on a level of trend and industry savvy that you will never comprehend; furthermore since you don't want Tracy to do your hair, the person getting your appointment will be the better looking for it. I stand behind Tracy as a professional 100%.

David and Dari Rock
by irene g.
After trying a few different hairdressers with no success, I decided to try Seven one more time and landed with Dari and David. I've never looked back since!! Dari as a colorist is phenomenal and paired with David's precision cutting, I've never had a better style. Women walk up to me all the time and tell me how much they like my hair and color. I've since moved to Arizona and have not been able to replace either of them. So here I am, back in the Seattle area for a few weeks and the first thing I do is get my hair done. The beauty of all this is, it only takes me 5 mins to do my hair!!

Go see Maria!
by rebekah a.
My first visit to Seven was about six months ago. I am a real nightmare to any hair stylist -- disinterested in hair, bored with hair care, and thoroughly unwilling to do a single thing besides wash it once a day and go to bed with a wet head. I confessed all of my faults to Maria, who looked like a model who worked on herself about four hours a day, who listened carefully, smiled, and proceeded to give me what I thought was a truly terrible haircut. It was UGLY and did not fit my 'old lady' look at all. In fact, I was convinced it made me look older & fatter! She asked me if I liked it and I said I would try my best... Went home, washed it and decided there wasn't much I could do now so forget it. The next morning, after sleeping on my wet head per usual, I woke up and ran my fingers through, my usual styling process. On the way out the door I glanced in a mirror and stopped. Hm-mm. Not bad! Well, it's been six months since then and I haven't had a bad hair day since! Maria somehow managed to give me a style that really works for me, looks good regardless of what I do to it, and is absolutely no trouble whatsoever. I'm going back to see her next week. Who knows? I may end up getting hair cuts more often!

I love this place
by Vern H.
This place is amazing. The stylists really know what they are talking about. I saw Erin, and not only was she a blast, but I came out of there with a head of hair straight out of a Victoria Secret add. It was the sexiest hair cut/style I've ever had. Erin did an amazing job and I'm looking forward to going back again. The atmosphere was cool and hip and the staff was sooo friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone (so long as your not an uptight square)!

SALON POLICY BLOWS
by Theresa O.
Ever let an appointment slip you by? Schedule a month in advance and rely on the courtesy call as a reminder? Don't. This salon will charge you for the full price of any appointment that was made and missed. No compensation available. A missed cut and color? You might as well throw $180 dollars in the trash. They will just deduct it out of your account like it doesn't matter. AND IT DOESN'T to them. Like I said before their SALON POLICY BLOWS.

unhappy with new "policies"
by Simply M.
I loved going to Charlie because she was so nice and really paid attention to my request. However, I was recently asked to provide a credit card before making an appointment. When I asked what it was for, I was informed so they could charge my card if I forget to cancel 24 hours in advanced! Because Charlie was booked for 2 months in advanced, I had to book for an appointment 3 months in advanced and asked if they could kindly give me a reminder call. They said it is part of their policy that they make a reminder call. So 3 months later I got a call from the salon at 8 p.m. reminding me of my appointment and when I asked to re-schedule, they said that they would have to charge me for the full appointment because my appointment is at 5 p.m. and did not give 24 hours notice. How could I possibly give 24 hours notice when I got the call at 8 p.m? When I spoke to the manager about this, he totally ignored my complaint and hence I was charged for an appointment I was unable to attend. I loved Charlie, but not enough to get extra charges. What ever happened to customer service??? Is it my fault that Charlie gets booked up 3 months in advance and their "reminder" calls aren't 24 hours in advanced?

Good experience
by Mary C.
Went in to get a haircut to donate to locks of love. Surprised to find out that they do complementary haircut for the donation (as long as its not with a senior stylist). Went with Tasha who they assigned me to. Tasha was great! She was very knowlegable cutting hair for Locks of love and made me feel comfortable for chopping off a foot of my hair leaving me with a short haircut! Would definiately go back to her. :) The place is a little too noisy. Music is great but they should really turn down the volume so you hairstylist can hear what you have to say.

Elle Elle Elle is amazing~~
by Jacob S.
I have visited Salon 7 twice now and have to say both visits have been outstanding!! From the live DJ spinning to the upscale atmosphere.. Most importantly my stylist "ELLE"! I truly felt her passion for her work! Not to mention she gave me a perfect style.. I don't to hair for a living and asked her what she felt I should do... She didn't just cut my hair, she verbally held my hand and walked me thru the process explaining what she was doing and why. That made me feel very comfortable and confident I was going to look good! Elle is filled with compassion and was very nice to talk with.. I recommend Elle and Salon7 to everyone!! Trust me it's worth paying a premium for the service and confidence you will leave with!!

Seven Salon- Highly recommend Travis
by LaurenSchur
I have been visiting Travis for over a year now and have to say, WOW! Until meeting Travis I had never met a stylist that could provide an amazing haricut AND color- I find typically sytlists are either good at one or the other... not usually both. Travis is the exception- he is incredible at matching the right colors with my skin tones, and his haircuts are to die for! I would consider myself incredibly picky when it comes to finding a great sytlist, and can honestly say I am lucky to have found Travis. I always seem to get compliments on my hair within moments of leaving the salon. The last time I visited another client asked me who did my hair on the way out.... On top of everything Travis is a joy to be around- kind, energetic... you can tell he loves what he does. I think that is a big part of what makes him such a great sylist. I would highly recommend Travis, and will continue to drive to Bellevue from Seattle just to keep seeing him!
Pros: Amazing stylist

See Jodi!!
by sookiestackhouse
I had coppery light brown hair that I really liked and everyone else seemed to like the color as well. Jodi advised me that this color blended with my skin tone too easily so that my features were lost. She colored my hair an espresso kind of brown that still showed flecks of gold in the light. Some really cute guy just told me I look striking. NEVER have I been called STRIKING in my life. Now people compliment my eyes and my hair not just my hair color. Do see Jodi, she is sweet and very knowledgable.
Pros: Free Mochas, Sassy Music, and FREE PARKING!
Cons: Sometimes had a hard time hearing my stylist.

Awesome Salon!!
by Whitman2002
I normally go to Gene Juarez in Bellevue, but I wanted to try something new. Seven DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! This place is fun, hip, trendy. You feel ?cool? just walking in there. Noah cut my hair and did an amazing job. He paid attention to my bone structure, face shape and the texture of my hair. He was friendly but not overly talkative. I liked this because sometimes you just want to relax and enjoy the experience. He gave me a great neck and head massage while I was being shampooed. You could tell he knew what he was doing and had great confidence while he cut my hair. I have fairly long hair so the cut took about 1.5 hours. I paid $60 for my cut including tip. I would definitely go there again. You can tell that the staff is a very talented team. Funky, hip, trendy and cool.
Pros: Amazing Hair Cut, Fun Atmosphere, Yummy Lattes...
Cons: Can be $$, Loud Music

LOVE Elle @ 7 Salon
by plp10
I love love love Elle @ 7! I have seen her three times now and have been more than satisfied every time. I had yet to find a stylist that I liked and would give repeat business to, but Elle now gets my business repeatedly. Their prices are a little more than I like to pay, but it's worth it to walk out with a look you love.
The service has always been great, even though I would tend to agree the people there appear to be stuck up, they were always nice and never rude. I love that they provide free lattes and I like being able to listen to the DJ, though this is a turn off for a lot of people. If you like that kind of thing, you should enjoy it!
Pros: Great cuts & color, Free coffee, Live DJ
Cons: Kind of expensive

Great cut and color from Nhi.
by ttc77
I was able to get a same-day appt. with Nhi b/c of a cancellation. I have tried several stylists throughout the area since moving here from Chicago last year. Nhi is by far the best. Very skilled and friendly. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted but also gave me some helpful input based on my face shape and hair type. I am really pleased with the result--a great cut and beautiful highlights (that aren't too light or stripey). Nhi was great and I will definitely go back to her.
Pros: Last minute appt; Expert Stylist
Cons: Kind of pricey; had to wait 15 mins.; loud music

Pushy Stylist w/ Lack of Customer Service Skills
by Seattleite1123
I did not enjoy my experience here. After explaining a little bit about what I was thinking, she made me feel stupid when she said with an attitude, "I don't know what you're saying" and stared at me. There are much nicer ways to help me out than making me feel stupid for being there and for not wanting an edgy cut. Then, after she decided what she wanted to do, she told me that she was going to cut my hair the same length in the front and the back for a more modern look. I said, "um, I don't really think I would like that, that's not the style I was going for". Stylist: "I think it would give you a modern look, let's do it." I protested one more time, but as I'm a little on the shy side, I didn't want to protest AGAIN so I left with a haircut I specifically said I did not want. So, I guess don't go there if you don't like saying "no" three times.
Pros: Easy location in Bellevue
Cons: Pushy, didn't care to listen & poor customer service skills

David - Bellevue Salon
by CocoC
IreneG - I'm not sure if you've been back to Seattle since your haircut in February, but the next time you are up here, you'll find that David is no longer with Seven. The good news, though, is he is still cutting hair out of his home, so you can keep getting those fantastic precision cuts :) His contact info is on his website, davidbennetthair. Just wanted to make sure I spread the word, because I have been going to David for over a year, and was devastated when I got the call. Its too bad for Seven to have lost such a talent, but great news for us that he's still in business :)

Grace is Awesome!!!
by Rz
I went in looking for a new stylist, somebody who could give me an easy to maintain, but top notch, professional looking guys haircut. Grace was awesome! she totally set me at ease by first listening to what I wanted, and then giving good advice, and then cutting my hair in a way that I can maintain. I don't want to fuss with my hair, but I do want to look good. This haircut just works.
She also listened when I said I needed a maintenance schedule, and then she set up the future appointments. All I have to do to look good is show up on time! Thanks Grace!
Pros: great stylist, free parking
Cons: slightly high price, but they give you expresso.

Alex made me feel like "the most beautiful girl in the world
by NK423
I went in feeling a little hum-drum, but left feeling like I was turning heads as I haven't in years! Alex was personable, charming, nice, attentive, and awful nice to look at, to boot! He is very bright and knew exactly how to make me look and feel like a beautiful woman again--plus the conversation made it an entirely well rounded experience. When I can afford it, I will absolutely go back! For the record, I was not asked for a CC at the time I made the appt, was not treated poorly in any way by any one, and they even gave me little bars of dark chocolate! I can certainly see how the place would be a little intimidating and, yes, it is a tad pretentious. Trust me, though, you can push through all that with Alex at the helm.
Pros: personable and talented stylist
Cons: music was a little too loud

I love my hair again thanks to Tracy!
by LindsayLouWho
I'm a stay at home mom to two little ones and don't have a lot of time to do my hair. I decided it was time to stop ignoring it completely and booked an appointment with Tracy (after reading many reviews online). She works wonders! Instead of cutting it and doing a style nobody can do themselves, she paid attention to what my hair does naturally and gave my hair (and me!) some extra TLC and showed me step by step how to achieve the look she gave me in a reasonable amount of time.
If you want someone who is going to spend time with you, giving you personalized service Tracy is the one for you (especially if you have curly hair!) Book now! :)
(Oh yeah, I can't forget to mention the amazing scalp massage, lattes and chocolate!) :)
Pros: Tracy, lattes, chocolate, fun atmosphere
Cons: cost is kinda high for me but still well worth it

The best hair stylist on the planet, Tracy Spurrell, works magic at the Seven Salon in Bell Square. I originally meet Tracy at a salon in Seattle, when she moved to the Eastside I followed her there ... and Bellevue is no easy commute for me.
She consistently turns a little into a lot (I have very short hair.) She understands my personality, what I want to present, gives excellent suggestions and always provides her honest opinion when something just won't work.
Tracy has seen me through purple, red, blonde and brown. Together we have visited Annie Lennox, 80's New Wave, Punk Rock, Eddie Muenster, Vidal Sasson and countless versions of business conservative. Tracy is extremely competent, skilled, and imaginative.
She loves her work and wants every person she works with to leave her chair more confident in who they are.
Should I ever have to start trimming my budget, a haircut from Tracy will be the last thing to go.
I am her client for life.
Pros: Tracy, parking, hours of operation
Cons: Noisy

Ta Da...May I present my new best friend and hair savior...APRIL!
by laffytaff08
I have "African American hair". You may not be aware but it takes 2 hrs of strenous arm work-out to get it straight,, and yet, I still have frizzies and fly aways that pop up in the middle of the day. I was "relaxing" my hair years ago, and then it started breaking off. DON'T DO IT! It still took a lot of work to flat iron my hair after relaxing, not worth the mulah. NOW, I see April for Japanese straightening. Lord, my hair is silky, shiny, and so easy to style. I wake up and it's straight, I come home and it's still flawless. AMAZING!! For those with difficult curly hair, do try April!
Pros: Japanese Straightening, Free Mocha, and nice staff
Cons: Hard to find parking on weekends

YOU HAVE TO GO SEE SHELBY!!
by kacee3
I was in desperate need of a new 'do and heard lots of great things about SEVEN. I called to make an appointment and they set me up with SHELBY. OMG, she was amazing! She was pretty quiet, but listened to all my concerns. She let me know what she felt worked best for my "bone structure." I've never heard of such a thing! That was $50 well spent. I absolutely LOVE my haircut!! :)
Pros: Upbeat atmosphere. Compliementary lattes. Live DJ.
Cons: None!! :)

CHARISE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!
by blair01
I have been looking for someone new to cut my hair. I have had bad experiences in the past and it can be really scary to take that new step with a new stylist. So I decided to give 7 in Bellevue a try. I scheduled a haircut with Charise, and can I say she exceeded my expectations. She listened to me about what I wanted(how often do you get that?), but also looked at the bone structure of my face to give me a haircut that complimented me. This was the BEST haircut I have ever received, Charise is well worth $50. I will be sending my friends her way!

SHELBY
by jbt215
I always get nervous seeing someone new for a haircut. For some reason I always feel like my hair is difficult to cut. I saw Shelby in the Bellevue salon, it was the most amazing experience and cut I have ever recieve. She is worth more then her $50 dollar cuts!! She listened to everything I said, all my concern and processes attention to details. I will be forever grateful that I met Shelby.

Stevie is AMAZING!
by washington2
I have been going to Stevie for the past 3 years, and she is absolutely amazing. I have never had less than a great experience, and I've referred countless friends and family members who love her just as much as I do. Every time I get my hair done, people ask me where I go. She always asks exactly what I want, makes recommendations based on my skin color and face shape, and does exactly what we talked about. I have searched all over Seattle for a hairstylist and she is by far the best one I've come across. I'm not a big review-writing person, but I've had such a good experience I decided I would write one for the next person searching for a stylist.

Arpad is now at Bocz in Seattle
by francesdd
Arpad is now at Bocz in Seattle. I have been happy with Seven Salon because Arpad always did a great job on my hair. Now he's at Bocz and I plan to go to him there. He is an amazing stylist. When he cuts my hair, I get compliments from strangers. I am so glad I now know where he is!
Pros: Many talented stylists. Arpad was the best!
Cons: I was frustrated that the salon wouldn't tell me where he went

NHI... What a miracle! You made me beautiful!
by patteegail
I have not been told I am beautiful for at least 3 years... by anyone! No one has noticed my eyes since I was a teenager! After my haircut with Nhi I had three people pass me in the mall and tell me "you are such a beautiful woman," "you have such beautiful eyes," and "you have such a beautiful face."
I just gave birth to two preemies within the past two years and was feeling dumpy and ugly. Not anymore! I left 7 Salon feeling like a million bucks and like I was actually beautiful.
Thank you so much Nhi! You made me cry! I love my new hairstyle!
Pros: Nhi is absolutely the very best hair dresser I have ever met
Cons: The music was so loud it gave me a slight headache and I couldn't hear my hairdresser

Elle is worth every penny...
by SoniaGHM
About three years ago, I gritted my teeth and walked into SEVEN. Up until that point in my life (and I was just short of 40 then), the ONLY person who had ever cut my hair was my dad--but he had developed Parkinson's disease and dementia, and much as I couldn't stand the thought of anyone else touching my hair, I NEEDED A HAIRCUT! I was a walk-in, and I'm so happy that Elle was free to cut my hair that day. She is bubbly, funny, really friendly, cuts as if she was born with a pair of scissors in her hand, and--best of all--was incredibly understanding when I burst into tears in the chair! :') (And she has cool stars tattooed on her feet. :-) )
I've been back many times since then--my Mom also drives down from Canada to get her hair cut by Elle, and Elle even did my daughter's cut for her "Locks of Love" donation. Plus I took my stepdaughter there for a cut on her 16th birthday.
Seven is lots of fun. The music is good, the coffee is good, the service is personal and kind, and I'm never made to feel "too frumpy" or "too old" or "just not cool enough"--on the contrary, I leave feeling ten years younger! It's a good place. Go there. I also got a cut from Alex once when Elle was busy cutting my stepdaughter's hair, and he did a terrific job.
Pros: Elle! Fun atmosphere, good music, coolest bathroom sink I ever saw, great coffee.
Cons: A bit of price creep... but still worth it.

Frequent price raises have made me divorce this salon
by Alesla11
I have been seeing Charlie for a couple of years now, and always thought she gave a good, not outstanding but good, cut. When i first started seeing her she was charging 50 and was charged that for a while. Out of the blue though, the price changed to 60. I was Ok with that though, as I realize everything is going up these days. The next appointment I had, just a few months later, I was charged 75!! I think that it is absolutely ridiculous to go up 25 dollars in less than a year, and if anything, I feel like the best cuts she gave me were the first few, when the price was cheaper! All though I will miss Charlie, I will not miss the surprise when I hand over my credit card at the end. So the hunt for a new stylist begins....
Pros: Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, free parking
Cons: Ridiculous, spontaneous inflation with no notice

Worst customer service
by renni
Stylest are frequently late and there is a salon policy to charge you full price of service if you are late. Great variability in stylest some are top notch others not so much. For the price would expect better service.

amazing hair experience with ERIN
by DJMellyMel
I don't usually go to salons for have my hair styled, cut, or dyed. I'm a do it yourself kind of person, but on a whim, i decided to try it while in Bellevue the other day. Erin was simply amazing! She gave me a beautiful color that not only brought out my eye color, but also warmed my skin tone! It was truly a wonderful experience. As I am trying to grow my hair back out from an asymmetrical cut, she trimmed it nicely and gave me some suggestions to think about before i came back in.
Needless to say, i scheduled my touch up appointment before I left :)

ERIN = BEST STYLIST/COLORIST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO
by Olsonr24
I recently had my hair styled by Erin at Seven and she was amazing. Not only was she very friendly and helpful, but she was very in touch with what I wanted (even if I didn't know what it was!). Originally I just wanted some plain highlights but she recommended a darker, more natural highlight with a complimenting low-light that makes my skin glow. In addition she cut my hair in new layers, giving me volume I have never had before and a cut that compliments my face shape very well. She was able to anticipate my wants and needs for a hairstyle like no one I have ever been to. I will definitely be back again!
Pros: Great ambience, friendly people, free drinks are great
Cons: A little on the pricey side, but WORTH IT
