George's has been our restaurant of choice for more than three years. The menu offers exceptionally delicious and diverse choices. Our favorites - Steak Risotto and Carbonara Prosciutto al Tusca - are consistently prepared and presented with the best service in Santa Clarita.

Whether a quiet and romantic dinner with my wife, a business lunch, or meeting friends for drinks, George's is always our first choice.

Hope to see you there!

We like to go listen to the band on Thursday and Friday.
It 's just to pricey to eat lunch each day at George's. Their food is very good, the service is to slow for a lunch schedule.

This place has great food but a little pricey. They have a very nice staff and the restaurant is very nice. They have great drinks and a great bar area. The bread is very good too!

If you are in the area, this is definantly a place to try. Great food, great service. The resturant is clean and neat. The prices were great. A nice place to go to have a relaxing lunch or dinner.

I have only been here once, but I thoroughly enjoyed the food (the potato wrapped shrimp were soooo good) and they had happy hour prices for draft beer, Sierra Nevada, ($2.50) all night. There was live music (albeit a little loud) and the service was very good (although they want to clear the table before you're done eating). I would definitely go back. I think that this would be a fun little place for after work get togethers during the summer.

For the past year my wife and I have been going at least once every two weeks for dinner at George's. The reviews I read here really surprised me. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have never had anything but consistently good food. In fact, in the last few weeks with some changes in the preparations, it has been even better! I love the Chicken Dijonaise and the Rossi Pepe is my wife's latest favorite. We both really enjoy the Potato Wrapped Shrimp appetizer. We are always greeted as if family and service has been excellent. As owners of a restaurant in Boulder, CO (www.dolansrestaurant.com, we always pay attention to what is going on where ever we go and we haven't witnessed any of the problems identified. Give the place a chance and we are sure that you will like it.

dunno where others got this kind of food or review. I had the linguini volgoli (clams and seafood). it was fantastic. Daughter had chicken roulade. GREAT. Wife had chicken parm. Very good also. Only issue was son's meatballs were bland. Service was perfect, bread was great. Overall a 5.

Let's just say that I was 1) served bad clams; and 2) when I asked for a different dish was served a chicken dish that was completely inedible (and broke the knife trying to cut it). I've had better airplane food. If I could give this a negative rating, I would.

Like others we read a good review of George's. On a Sunday between a kids birthday party and a movie we decided to try it out. It was a bit out of the way for us, but we love new experiences. We were pleasantly greeted, seated at the table we wanted, and quickly met our waitress and menus. Ice teas were ordered and came quickly. And iced tea was the only nourishment we got.

After we ordered we expected bread. It never came. After two ice tea fill ups and exactly 35 minutes on the clock, our waitress said there was a slow down in the kitchen. i had ordered an omelet; my wife a crepe. Ten minutes later our waitress said, "Your food is coming right now". I said, "Do you really mean right now?". She said, "yes" and headed into the kitchen..
We never saw her again. I gave it five more minutes and we decided to leave. We were not charged for the iced teas.
Sad to see this happening at a new restaurant that apparently has kitchen problems. There were two chefs working. George, talk to your staff and see what's going on!!

I work in the area and frequent George's on a regular basis. Now that the restaurant has had time to open, get settled . . . .George's delivers every time.I dine at lunch time, and am always promptly attended to and checked on frequently during my dining experience.I am delighted with their menu. The calamari is my favorite appetizer. The Tomato Basil soup is tasty. The Tequila chicken is delicious. The pricing is comparable to the portions and degree of ingredients.I clearly recommend George's and would also recommend if one doesn't like what they order to bring it to the Hostess attention so that they may correct it immediately and improve with time.

I ordered paella and received a big bowl of plain rice a couple of clams, 2 mussels and a single shrimp after a 45 minute wait. It cost $26! When I called the manager she said they were having trouble in the kitchen; the chef left. I know the waitress knew there was a problem but I guess they thought if the customer doesn't complain then don't worry about it. The waitress basically lied to me. I can understand that they had some problems but it would have much better if they said they couldn't serve me the paella and order something else rather than ruin my dinner. I highly recommend that you do not eat at this horrible place. I've learned my lesson. F-.

I have to wonder how any restraunteur doesn't watch Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and learns the 101 of running a restaurant. George's falls into a number of recurring RKN traps that we see routinely on that show - any two episodes would give George's the info they need to get some big lifts in a quality experience for their customers. Primarily, George's menu was too complicated and extensive, and as a result, we get poor execution/quality. They should narrow to an honest, sincere, and quality menu of items they can execute well. I suspect that most of their product is not prepared in the restaurant by staff, but arrives in containers and tubs. In three visits, probably our last, the food was not good. The soup was tough (clam chowder), appetizers were too rich and greasy (unnecessary for flavor or quality), and a Caesars Salad was drowned in dressing, all quite bad. The last trip, I had a traditional linguini and clams, white sauce. The dish's flavor was drowned in (of all things) sauteed onions, which had no reason to be in this dish at all. Terrible. The clams were poor quality, and quite unusual, shells looked almost synthetic if there were such a thing, and you couldn't taste anything but the onions. ?!? Other dishes were a miss. Quite disappointing for a nice environment and location. They need to go back to basics quickly and simplify with sincere and honest menu they can execute and be relied upon for, otherwise, they will not last.

Side notes - Service was quite spotty, at one point we didn't know who our server was, as others stepped in while our first server was chatting with another table for 15 minutes. Sometimes we get bread, sometimes we don't. A bit tongue in cheek, but any restaurant that serves Sugar or Sweet-n-Low (bitter saccharin) as the only options for my coffee is not going to be successful with me. Did we go back 20 years?

Wow! I expected only great reviews of George's Bistro. Every time my husband and I have gone to George's, we've experienced both professional, courteous service and great food. I especially like their salmon, and the chicken risotto is to die for. We will continue to frequent George's until we eat our way through their entire menu.

I have been to George's Bistro five times and each time we have been fortunate to have had the same waitress. She was friendly, fun and accomadating. The food was wonderful and I have no complaints thus far. I heard they hired a new cook since my last visit so I will reserve judgement on the food until I return again. My experiences have been good and this is a great place to take a date!!!.

I had heard some great reviews about George's Bistro so I decided to try it. I grabbed the wife and told her we had to try this new place. Well boy were we disappointed. It started with the hostess who couldn't smile to save her life. We requested a booth because of my wife's back and we got an eye roll. We tried to let it slide because you just never know what kind of day people are having. So we began to order and we were rushed through it. We got our food after 30 minutes of sitting and when we got it, it was cold!. after another 45 minutes of sitting without the waitress coming back to check on us we decided to flag her down. We asked if everything was okay and asked why some of the stuff was taking so long. The response...another eye roll. Well I just about had it we asked for our check and scooted out of there as quick as possible. I don't think I will be visiting George's Bistro again. And I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends either. Next time someone mentions George's Bistro I'll be saying "Thanks but no thanks!"

I went to our company's teacher appreciation dinner at George's Bistro and it was fantastic. The bar tender was very friendly and funny. He made us some of his specialties and I found that to be very refreshing. The pecan, crusted Sea Bass was fantastic and the atmosphere is mellow and inviting. You can either dress up or go in your sweats-they welcome you either way....There is usually no wait, and that is very hard to find in this valley!!!

While my experience wasn't as bad as "anonymous", my experience wasn't that pleasant either. it wasn't so much as the wait staff as it was the salty food. I think a new cook is in order for that place. When we mentioned that it was a little to salty we got an eye roll from one of the waitresses. Not professional, but i didn't really expect anything more from them anyway. While I wouldn't specifically choose to dine there again I think others should go there and see for themselves. But I also in know way recommend it.

As a local resident of Valencia I was extremely disappointed in the service that I received at George's Bistro. The service was mediocre and the food was cold and over salted. Not only that i watched, what i could only assume be the manager/owner, be rude and obnoxious. Never again will I ever step foot in that place and I will never recommend it to anyone!

I have lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for 25 years and can honestly say this is the best restaurant in town! The atmosphere is very classy, yet there were patrons being welcomed wearing their tank tops and short. The waitstaff were very attentive and kept our glasses full. Most importantly, the food was phenomenal. I don't say this lightly. I ordered the chicken marsala with garlic mashed potatoes. It was so good that even my chicken-marsala hating husband was stealing my food! He ordered the chicken ravioli with a walnut cream sauce and practically licked the plate clean. For dessert - creme brule! It was a very enjoyable experience. While a bit pricy, it is worth every penny!

PROS: Best chicken marsala ever
CONS: Located off the beaten track, but worth the search

After realizing the success of their Santa Monica restaurant for more than 20 years, George and his wife, Sheri opened a second location in Valencia. Upon your arrival, George, the owner, and his daughter Diana, the general manager, make you feel welcome, as if youre part of the family. The family-based philosophy would not be successful without real attention to detail on all levels.

With their attentive nature, the friendly staff makes guests feel welcome while never forgetting their immediate task at hand, excellent service. And they certainly have mastered the skill, frequently visiting their tables to ensure their guests receive the attention they deserve.

Offering diners delectable dishes for lunch and dinner on weekdays, the Valencia location also serves a large variety of breakfast items on Sunday mornings. In addition to the typical breakfast fare, some of the more unique items include five varieties of French toast including a gourmet version that is topped with cinnamon-apple walnut compote after lightly encrusting a slice of bread with Kelloggs Honey Nut Corn Flakes, and then cooking until golden. Also worth mentioning are the fresh, hand-made sweet and savory crepes. My favorites include the creamed spinach and egg crepes that are topped with hollandaise sauce and the chocolate hazelnut fruit crepes that are filled with hazelnut-infused ricotta, strawberries and bananas and then drizzled with chocolate.

In addition to serving an extensive breakfast menu, Georges Bistro offers guests a myriad of choices for lunch and dinner. Some of my favorite dishes include Chicken Florentine, which blends penne pasta with chicken sauted with garlic, tomatoes, brandy, Parmesan cheese in a creamed spinach marinara sauce; Chicken Veronique, a savory dish that consists of a rolled chicken filet stuffed with sauted spinach, mushrooms, roasted garlic, herbs and smoked mozzarella, and then topped with a delicious creamed spinach-tomato sauce; and Seafood Ravioli, a delicious mixture of pasta pockets filled with crab meat, shrimp and Mozzarella cheese over a lemon cream sauce and garnished with sauted bay shrimp and Parmesan cheese.

Other popular dishes worth trying include: Chicken Jambalaya, a flavorful dish that is served over rice or linguini; BBQ Baby Back Ribs accented with a homemade traditional hickory sauce and cooked slowly until they fall of the bone; and Penne Bolognaise, which sauts USDA ground choice sirloin with mushrooms, peas, garlic and brandy cream sauce.

With a full bar and an extensive wine list, their experienced bartenders can whip up just about any variety of exotic drink requests. They also feature a private dining area, which lends itself as an ideal location to celebrate those special occasions or office get-togethers. And they also make house calls, offering a majority of their menu items in larger quantities so guests can bring a taste of Georges Bistro to their door for an especially delicious catered event.

By combining great food at a reasonable price and impeccable service, Georges Bistro has cultivated the ingredients for success. This restaurant most definitely is worth putting on your list of restaurants worth visiting.

Pros: Great Food
