I found Lush after working my way through a number of (bad) stylists at various equally bad broad ripple salons. The first time I visited I had a horrible color job and was pretty cynical, thinking I would never find someone that could get it right. They listen to what you want, consider the essentials like facial structure and skin tone, and give you suggestions. The result? Fabulous color that compliments your face and makes you love your hair (perhaps after a long history of frustration!). Everyone in the salon has been friendly, fun, and provide great service in a relaxed atmosphere. You can tell the staff enjoys what they are doing. I have ridiculously thick hair that can be unruly and time-consuming - I've never felt rushed or pressured. Also, after going to many a salon where I get hounded to buy their products - I've never felt sales pressure at Lush - which is nice! So...get yourself over...you won't be disappointed!

I have short hair and struggle to find a great stylist who consistently creates a great cut. I have been with Danita for several years now after going to stylist after stylist. I could never get the right cut or color. The cut would either be bulky or frumpy. The color to bleachy. Danital is PERFECT. I am a mom, so never want to feel frumpy. She always cuts my hair to fit my style, even when we switch it up a bit. You know a good stylist when you can air-dry and it looks cute! She also does amazing color. My hair has highlights that never seem to look obvious when they grow out. AND, she styled my hair when I got married several years back, and does an awesome job with that too! Needless to say, she better never leave Indy!!

I used to live in Chicago and see the same stylist for years. It took me a long time to find her and when I did, I was a loyal customer for years. I vowed never to have anyone else touch my hair. Well, two years ago I moved to Carmel but continued to travel to Chicago to see her even though it took 4.5 hours out of my day. I?m a fashion model and a cheerleader for the Colts and several girls on the squad recommended Lush so I finally came to my senses and decided try someone new. Believe me, I had anxiety pains about trying someone new, but it turned out to be a GREAT experience! I met with one of their stylists, and she gave me a fantastic cut and style. She was friendly and easy to get along with, but most importantly, she gave me exactly what I asked for and I AM LOVING MY HAIR! I have naturally wavy/curly hair and she just knew how much to cut to give me my perfect length and shape. And, she blow-dried it beautifully - something a lot of stylists don't do so well. Today I found myself a new stylist! Thanks!

I have been a client of Danita's for years-she is amazing. I saw the "no go" review and I just had to comment. I was there getting my hair done when this girl came in and that is NOT what happened. She had an attitude from the time she walked in. She said "no one in Indpls has been able to make her happy" She said she wanted the gold out of her ends and she "better not see any gold when she leaves or she will not be happy" Sasha was very sweet and patient. She looked at her hair and told her it was very dry and that she was not comfortable running anything through her ends because her ends were so dry. She also told her she could not guarantee that she would not see ANY gold since her natural hair was so dark. Sasha was patient and honest and then let the client make a choice. She chose to leave. This salon is very honest, professional, and all the stylists are very talented. Don't listen to her.

Every single one of the stylist at this salon are extremely talented in their craft. They take the time to consult with and really listen to their clients in order to provide the best service and care possible for their client's needs. I've been going to this salon for a few years and just about every single time I've stepped out of there, someone has stopped me in the street to compliment me on my hair and or ask where did I get my hair done. I have recommended several people and they too have enjoyed their experiences at Lush. They can pretty much accomplish any look your going for and if you have no clue as to what look you want rest assured that your in great hands because they can give you a look that fits your everyday life style /grooming needs and still make you look fab-u-lous. Since I've been seeing my stylist at Lush my hair has grow into a luxurious, healthy mane. And not only are alot of the stylists attractive but so is a lot of the clientele Hot!! Colt?s players and sexy indy drivers and all their wives seem to love keeping this hideaway their little secret!!

I needed a quick color refresher and contacted the color expert salon. The salon stated that their stylists were booked for the day but the manager Danita took care of me that day. My hair looks fabulous. I am from New York and it is difficult to get a cutting edge look. She took the time to listen about my previous hair stylists, what I liked and disliked, and she offered many suggestions. At this salon they promise a personalized hairstyle and they delivered. If only they could franchise one on the westside along with some of their experts! This is the place to go.

I really enjoyed my whole experience at this salon. I requested a same day appointment and my appointment began on time and was finished in less than 1.5 hours. Danita was great. I was not exactly sure what I wanted and she did a great job of helping me narrow it down. It looked exactly how I thought it would. I originally had dark brown hair and went with some warm blonde highlights. The cut was SUPER! I really can't think of one negative thing to say! I would definitely ask for her

I had just moved to Indianapolis several months ago, and being a professional it is extremely important to have my appearance be top notch. I wanted something new, yet I wanted to revive my damaged hair from a previous coloring. Not being familiar with the new city, I asked one of my clients (I work in a law firm) where she gets her hair done, since it always looks amazing. She recommended lush the art of hair, namely, a color specialist by the name of Danita. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere and welcome upon my arrival. Nevertheless, she devoted a great amount of time consulting me on which color would look best on me. She is very professional, yet friendly. I was ecstatic after my hair was done. The color complimented my skin tone and my hair now looks healthy. I can honestly say that this was hands down the best color job I have ever had. I now found my new colorist and I highly suggest for anyone looking to get their "perfect color" to book an appointment with Danita. I can't wait to come back for a touch-up!!

Danita has been cutting and coloring my hair for as long as I can remember. Everywhere I go I am constantly asked, "Who does your highlights?" or "Where did you get your cut?" She and the other girls, Sasha and Lexi, are the best around. Not only great hair stylists but great friends. I'm always entertained by the fun conversations going around. Everyone at this salon is so nice - the prices aren't ridiculous either! The BEST!!!

So.. read the reviews about this salon, featured in ELLE magazine, best in town, blah blah blah... Since I moved to Indy I havent been able to find a stylist that can give me that soft white blonde (keep in mind I am already light blonde) I used to have before moving here... I decided to make an appt thinking that with all the hype and price of their services they would be able to acheive this. Went there, spoke with Sasha and after a lengthly consultation she said she didnt think she wanted to take the chance and passed on doing my color. Believe me I admired her honesty...but was disappointed in what I would consider lack of experience for such a salon...the saddest part of it all, after being fed up with these professionally trained stylists that cant get it right, a friend of mine went to Sally's beauty, got the strong bleach and toner and did it ourselves for under $40 bucks... my hair looks great is still healthy and finally after all this time is back to the color i want... and we arent professionals getting $200 plus for our services... take that for what its worth

I've been trying different salons all over Indianapolis, based on the ratings and reviews from Citysearch. I've never been super wowed with a haircut but for the first time I was like "I LOVE IT". I had an idea in my head what I wanted my hair to look like and Sasha cut it perfectly. She asked questions - how much maintence I wanted, what products I use - to give me the appropriate style. Plus, the cost was totally reasonable. I get so many compliments on my hair and I've finally found a stylist I want to go back to.

I've been highlighting my black hair with L'oreal highlighting kits since I was a teen. But after a disastrous series of haircuts (I left my regular stylist and was flitting around) I didn't want to take any chances with hair color. I just wanted everything to go well. I was reading about Lush and their color wizardry in Elle Magazine, and I thought I'd give them a chance. What can I say? Charming, low-key, respectful. They looked at all the pictures I brought, told me what they thought would look right given what I wanted (trust me ? it was a tall and complicated order), and presto, change-o, I looked amazing afterward. This place is professional. Trust me. I've been to them all.

Read all the negative reviews, don't spend your money on this place, services do not match the expense. I could not make an appointment was in Rome tried to cancel my appointment, but they charged my credit card without authorization $175.00 for no services rendered. WHO IS THAT GOOD TO BE THAT BOLD. Certainly not this place.

I have been seeing Lexy at Lush Salon now for over a year. The service is spectacular. My color is always looks great and every time I see her I learn something new about taking care of my hair. In the 20+ years of getting my hair done this is the best so far. Danita the manager has established a very good team of stylists. I am also addicted to the Kerastase products that are sold at the salon. Most high-end salon carry products that cost almost as much as the service, not so at Lush. I am always greeted with a smile and the checkout is very pleasant.

I have been to Paris, Italy, Germany, and a few other European countries; I also have been wearing extensions from around the world for 4 years. Until this year, while in the Colts owner Jim Esays suite at the new stadium ; I could always tell when another woman was wearing extensions!
I saw this blond model being photographed for a national magazine and I thought to myself "damn her for that gorgeous hair, and here I am paying $1,500 for mine."
Later that evening I saw her again, and this time I had to ask "What do you to your hair?" She replied "Honey, I have Hair extensions." I gasped and out of shock and disbelief!!!
I could NOT tell even while touching her hair! Like a crazy woman, I flipped my hair back and showed her my "Finger rows" as we laughed through it. She was Miss Indiana USA and gave me a card for her stylist at Lush Salon.
The next day, at the office I goggled "Miss Indiana USA" and much to my surprise on her website was a link to Lush, and on top of that she was a client!
So I google searched Lush matter of fact you can google almost anything to do with salon, beauty, hair extensions, etc. And Lush is there!!!!
So I set up my consultation and went, 8 hours later I was a flawless, beautiful, long, thick haired, very content woman! The magic I had encountered that day, transformed not only my hair, but in many ways my life. Nobody I meet knows I have hair extensions, except me....
There is one thing I want to say to ANYONE thinking of or is already doing extensions; Danita is like a Leonardo Da Vinci of extensions! Perfection is priceless!

p.s. she wont tell you but she does all the top movers and shakers hair in this town so keep your eyes peeled for a celebrity sighting while at the salon.

This was hands-down the WORST salon experience I have ever had. I REALLY wish I would have read more of the negative reviews, because they are really spot-on. Don't get caught up in the hype like I did. I was so excited about my appointment, I really thought this experience would be great. Umm....WRONG.

While I was waiting 15 minutes for my stylist, I decided to peruse their makeup testers. As soon as I applied some lipstick to my hand to see the color, the receptionist came over and took it out of my hand and haughtily told me they would prefer me to use a swab...ok, totally embarrassing, but whatever.

So my stylist Sasha finally gets me in a chair and does a brief consult. Then she handed me over to Lauren who proceeded to wash my hair and give me a scalp massage, which was ok, but overall I was in the shampoo bowl for TWENTY FIVE MINUTES because my stylist was still with her client and it was like they pretended this was all a part of the experience...more on that later.
So Sasha spends about 3-5 minutes with me cutting my hair when the receptionist places a post-it on her station. It was then that I noticed a young well dressed man looking at us; apparently it was her next client.
Again, Lauren takes over and proceeds to dry my hair for THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES...I'm not even joking. Again,treating me like I am too stupid to realize my stylist was overbooked and giving her full attention to this other client. She would have went on even longer, but I finally just got up to go talk to my husband, who was unfortunately waiting on me. I was so mad I couldn't even see straight. I didn't even have a magazine to read, as I didn't realize NO ONE in this salon talks to you and I would be staring at a wall for the better part of an hour while I was getting a blow-out.

Sasha finally returned to finish the rest of my haircut...I would say she spent a total of about 8 minutes cutting my hair. I arrived at this joke of a business at 5 PM and did not leave until 7:23. For a haircut. Seriously. The guy she worked on instead of me did not have to wait at all and she gave him her full attention. Maybe she thought she could get more money out of him. Good choice sweetie, because I will never be back to this tiny, pretentious, overpriced, non-relaxing and tense salon. Horrible experience. The one star was for their product line, which is nice.

DON'T GET SUCKED IN BY THE HYPE!!!!!!

Danita is a Genuine Hair Professional! Ask for her at Lush-- you'll be forever thankful, and won't need to shop for another stylist, colorist or hair care specialist again. She has a sharp eye for the type of hair style that best suits your face and style. Her color sense is spot on, and she'll help you find the color that is best suited for you. She never pushes her personal preferences on you, and will do exactly as you ask. But, if you need, advice, she'll spend the extra time and effort to provide what's best for you.
You can also consult with her on skin care, facials, eyebrows and eyelashes. If she can't do it for you, she will steer you in the right direction and recommend another professional. She'll have tried them out on herself first before sending you, so you can be sure that she knows of what she speaks.
She is also an expert at hair extensions, straightening, and highlighting. People line up for her services, but she'll always make time for you, doesn't rush, and you?ll rarely have to wait. So, if you're ready for a true beauty professional experience, Danita is worth the time and travel for both men and women

I was very nervous looking for a new stylist and color specialist, but Lush came highly recommended.
It was reassuring to know that Elle Magazine ranked Lush one of the top 100 hair salons in the country in the August 09 issue.
They listened very carefully to what I wanted and the results are over the top. I've never had a better cut and color... EVER!

The calming ambience of the salon (no kids!!) is icing on the cake!

My wife went to this saloon and paid more than 900 dollars for Yuko. Guess what, it went back to original curly hair after three days. Also they asked her to sign the agreement before which is no guarantee for treatment . So customer can not say anything if they don't feel comfortable. If you call them, they will be very rude. If you don't believe me, you can try it than you will know.Go ahead.

For most women, a new salon/spa is a nervous experience....Not at Lush! I was so pleased that the staff was so knowledgeable about current trends and about their product line. Danita is an excellent listener and offers insight into my color and cut with professionalism! I've also had the opportunity to have manicure services....which is very detail oriented and extremely professional. She has built a clientele because of her rapport and attention to detail..
I would recommend Lush to anyone looking for a dedicated and wonderful staff.

I have been to and around some very expensive hair salons from many major cities, and I rate Lush as a 10 for service, great conversation, charm, sensitivity for my input, and much for the 'buck.' The compliments on my coloring have yet to end! They gave me exactly what I wanted given only a vague description. I used pay $$$$$ for my coloring at another location in Broad Ripple but Lush achieved the best result to date. Also, for eye-brows artfully and carefully done you must see Lexi! She has the most fabulous stories and provides make-up services for events and productions so call in for her if you're in need for that, as well! I truly felt that I was being worked on by a true artist. She is very charming and genuinely interested. Thanks, guys, for everything!

I was in Carmel for a wedding and needed a manicure and pedicure. The hotel concierge recommended Lush Salon, and I am impressed. Usually, I can never keep a manicure for a whole week, but this one is still perfect. The pedicure was great and the foot massage was heavenly.My nail tech was Michelle. She is sweet, friendly and interested in doing what you want, not what she thinks is best. Lexi also helped me with my frizzy hair by putting some products in it. My hair looked so much better that I bought the products, and they really do work. Both Lexi and the owner were very helpful and even got me on the net to find near-by stores that carried the kind of shoes I wanted for the wedding!If I lived in Indiana, I would be a regular. If you live in Indiana, you should be.

I've tried several different treatments at Lush and was extremely happy with all of the services.
But my favorite is the signature mani/pedi. This is not your average every day mani/pedi treatment!! The spa goes the extra mile here with a lot of nice little extra touches. You are treated to a nice warm towel, there are 4 different delicious scented lotions to choose from. The scrub they use for your legs & hands is nice plus I'm too lazy to do that at home. I love all of the Deborah Lippmann colors. I haven't seen that at any other spa in the city. My feet are baby soft when I leave the spa. It's the best!

OK, so I am not one to ever actually write a review but I felt given how life-changing the keratin treatments I get at this salon are, it would be nice to share this great find with everyone else... I have naturally very curly, frizzy hair. I have been getting relaxers for a while but I was never thrilled with any of the results. I heard about Brazilian keratin treatments and was immediately intrigued. That is when the hours of research began. I went on every review board, did every search possible, called multiple salons in the country doing the treatment and directly contacted the manufacturers of the various keratin treatments that the salons are using. The first decision I made after all this research was that I wanted to go to a salon that uses the Coppola treatment. I found from research that this treatment was safe & effective. The next step was choosing what salon to go to. After speaking to a rep at the Coppola company and they mentioned Lush salon as their recommendations to go to in Indiana, I gave them a call. They were so nice and helpful over the phone and the price range they quoted me was much more reasonable than a lot of the other salons in the country. I set up an appointment and have never been happier since!!! It is great that this salon has a stylist do the treatment rather than going to another high-end salon for it and paying more money just to have the treatment done by an assistant. My hair is a like a different head of hair now, seriously! There is no more frizz and for the first time in my life I can wash my hair and just let it dry naturally. Lush has saved me from being a slave to my hair. I have gotten four treatments and it gets better every time. I have also recommended three friends to go there and they all are thrilled with the results as well! If you have curly or frizzy hair that you want to control- go to Lush and get this treatment! BTW- the haircuts and Color are also amazing. I never want to go back to a life without Lush Salon!!

Lush has been doing my hair for 2 years now--highlights, lowlights, and cuts. They are fabulous! My highlights look so natural, that people are often shocked when I tell them I get it colored. My hair was very damaged by my old stylist from Spalsh when I initially came to see them--bad color, dry, and brittle. They got my hair back to it's original dark blonde, and added funky lighter shades of blonde, that look terrific! Their hair cuts are great, too! Everytime my hair is done I can't stop staring in the mirror, and I always walk out feeling so pretty and happy. I have terrific hair, thanks to Lush! I highly suggest going and don't allow anyone else to touch your hair.

Lush is one of the finest Salons in Indianapolis! When I walked in, it felt like I was in Miami! The atmosphere is breathtaking; the staff is friendly and welcoming. Their Services are what you would expect from a top notch Salon. I had Highlights/Haircut and my hair is perfect! My Stylist told me that education is key for their staff, and it shows! I could go on, but see for yourself, to the people that commented on their bad experience, how about giving them the chance to fix your "problem" You ever heard the saying, one "bad" meal at a restaurant, doesn't make it a bad restaurant? Seems like you would not be pleased at any Salon.

After experiencing several salons in Indianapolis that were overpriced, not very good, or both, I finally landed on this gem. I got full highlights and a cut, and my hair looks fabulous!!! These are some of the best highlights I have ever had. Danita did my hair and was VERY patient and did an excellent job in communicating my options and all of the pros and cons of each choice. I LOVE it. It felt so good to sit in front a stylist and not feel rushed and pressured about what I wanted. In addition, I got a massage and conditioning treatment for free as part of the total experience. This place is fabulous, and I plan on recommending it to all my friends!

Ok by far the best salon I have gone too. The Staff was amazing and polite. My hairdresser was amazing she did an awesome job with my cut and Color. Super impressed! The prices were so good too. It?s a very relaxing salon not loud at all and from what I saw every single client that left the salon seemed to have a very good relationship with their hairdresser and loved their hair. Impressive!!! I WILL BE BACK!

As Asian, I have the hardest time finding the hair stylist who can work with my hair in the US, I have to find and go to the best of the best salon to have my hair cut the way I want and not shed tears after the haircut.
Well, I'm so happy to find Lush Salon, they did a wonder on my hair, it's absolutely amazing and love it so much... I get so much complement everywhere I go and people stop me and ask me where I go to get my haircut at! It's an amazing feeling. Gives me so much confident and I really want to thank them Sasha for the magic. Not only she is skilled, she took time to consult with me on what I want, thoroughly, and she took time to really make it happen, and explained what she is doing, and dried and styled my hair herself, which I found very surprising because usually the top hair stylist let the trainee do the drying and styling. She explained and taught me step by step on how to style the hair, so that I can recreate what she did at home, gave me all kinds of tips and advice. She was amazing! And she'd promised me to teach me how to style my hair differently next time I visit her, so I can have variation. I am really looking forward to visiting her again and get another great advice on different hair arrangement I can do with the same hair style. I highly recommend her to any picky, hard-to-please ladies who cares about her hair as much as I do. Thank you!! =)

As I walked through the parking lot towards Marsh and a car passed in front of me. Suddenly, the driver's window rolls down and a thirty to forty-something gal sticks her head out the window. "I just had to tell you how great your haircut is, it really suits you!? she says, smiling. Well, after the initial shock that someone would actually go to the lengths she did to make that comment, I smiled back and thanked her. Then, I thought, "Geez, she said that and my next appointment with Lush is in another five days!" I received a comment from a complete stranger (in a parking lot no less), and it had been nine weeks since my last cut. I've been going to Lush for close to a year now, they have been working with me on a style (from a picture) and transitioning my short hair to a medium length. Based on the comment I received from this gal, I'd say it has been well worth our efforts! Wouldn't go to anyone else

Coming from LA where everything is expensive, I was shocked to learn that a simple bleach, toner, and trim would be $150 or more. For Indianapolis? Ok, so I'm new here and thought that this would be the best place for me to go. Never mind that I had cancelled an appt with Style's Tabatha in LA. This place "must" be good right? All these reviews are from "real" people right? Yeah, that's what I thought too. So I go in to my appt the next day with a gal, as soon as I entered the door, my sister was asked to leave as she had her two children with her. How Danita spoke to her was with the most disdain and patronizing tone I have ever heard. As my sister walked out the door I turned to Danita and told her that I thought what she said & HOW she said it was very demeaning. So on to my hair, I was VERY clear about how my hair has been colored for the past 15 years. I know how my hair responds to certain products and I asked what they use. Loreal. Easy. 40 mins on & then a toner for 15 mins. Again, easy. Nope, not to them. I sat under the dryer for 30 mins. Then 5 different times, toner was put on my hair. Five times. My hair is NO WHERE NEAR THE COLOR I ASKED FOR. Not only that, my hair is four or five shades and the back is ORANGE. So I go back today, 2 days later to see what she could do about my hair. Danita acted like she could have cared less and did not offer a refund. I asked for my stylist to correct the color and Danita stated that "they will have to get back to me" REALLY? I'm calling the appropriate agencies and complaining about LACK OF SERVICE and the Owner. How can one think of treating customers so badly and still be in business? Trust me I have a loud mouth, and EVERYONE will know how I was treated.

Danita has been cutting my hair for 4 years. She always listens to what i want her to do to my hair, but then again she never hesitates to offer me good advice. I'm a stay at home mom so i don't have a lot of time to do my hair with my young kids running around. Danita understands that but she always keeps me up on the trendiest but wearable styles. I didn't usually get my color done until I went to Lush. The salon is in a great location, not out in some Fishers neighborhood! and i loved the style and ambiance. Everyone was real friendly and made sure I was truly taken care of. I could always depend of exceptional customer service as well as a fun visit.. Don't wait to give the salon a chance. Trust these girls; they KNOW what they're doing, and are definitely worth the time!!!

Lush really does care about helping you to look and feel your very best. When stress and medications caused me to lose my thick hair, it was very traumatic. I became too embarrassed to even leave the house; as a Caucasian with dark hair, it was impossible to disguise the thin and balding spots. Regular salons had no solutions to offer and I knew I'd need special help. They patiently consulted with me and explained my options. Their skill is amazing and they insist on quality products. When they finished, they hadn't just given me a new look, they had restored my self-confidence! Friends can't get over how natural it looks and how wonderful it feels, and my husband is as thrilled with it as I am.

I have known Danita for almost a decade and I can't recommend her enough. If you have never consulted someone about your hair loss and are nervous about doing so - see Danita. She will make you feel at ease. If you are a member of a "hair club" and are dissatisfied with the quality their service - see Danita. She will not try to sell you products or services you do not need. Rather she will give you expert advice as to what the best solution to your particular problem. And not only is she an expert on all forms of hair loss; she is an expert stylist as well. Recently I went to a wedding and gave her carte blanche to do whatever she wanted with my hair. I received numerous compliments at the wedding and could not have been more pleased.

I have been going to Danita at LUSH for 4 years for highlights. She is quite simply the best. I first heard about her through a friend who was a publicist for several high profile celebrities. I asked her for a recommendation and I've been seeing Danita ever since. I can honestly say I have the most natural looking highlights ever! She does this process called balayage which doesn't require any foils--she just paints it on and instead of looking like I just had my hair colored, I look like I just got back from a vacation at the beach. The color lasts which means fewer trips to the salon which I actually wouldn't mind since she makes the whole experience fun! She's just really down to earth and extremely talented. She is quite simply the best hair colorist period. It really doesn't get any better!

The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, the service was wonderful, and my hair looked better than it had ever looked before. The prices are high, but you definitely get what you pay for. I would highly recommend Lush Salon to any woman who is looking for a professional and stylish salon. The atmosphere in the salon is extremely pleasant. The stylists are great. I was looking for a salon in the area for at least 5 years. One day while in the supermarket I saw a woman's hairstyle that was the bomb!! I immediately asked her - girls your hair is shape - who is your stylist. She gave me Danitas business card - and let's say - the rest is history. My hunt is over. I would give this salon a five star rating.

Lush Salon has professional - well-educated hair stylists in the heart of Indy - the stylists provide great educational tips to clients teaching them how to make hair look its best. They offer wonderful hair and scalp treatments and the salon has one of the top colorists in Indiana. They are dedicated and welcoming to all clients that walk through the door ? The owners are also very active members of the neighborhood which adds to the culture and sophistication of the salon. As someone who has had my hair cut in some of the top-rated salons in New York and Chicago - I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the salon.

I LOVE this salon. Danita is an amazing talent- she has assembled an energetic, service oriented team and created a soothing, trendy setting. They took the time to really listen to what I wanted and to offer thoughtful advice. The result was perfect. My hair looks and feels amazing! She also did a consultation on my hair for extensions. After she did my extensions and I felt like a new women. She is very educated and passionate about her work and her staff. She is very selective on experience and attitude at her salon. She did a great job and was very sweet and honest on what I should do with my hair. She is the owner and is extremely intelligent on both products and hair.

I had a great experience at Lush as well. I had a last minute emergency right before my wedding day. My regular gal had to cancel on me because she became ill and I ended up going to Lush Salon. They were able to get me in that day and did a great job on. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was clean and professional. I've decided to go back from here on out!

Let me count the ways?. This hair stylist/ color artist has the most amazing talent to work your hair into a work of art. I actually left my hairdresser after 4 years to go to Danita after I upset mine by asking for a style he wasn?t happy doing. The first thing she did was listen to me. What a concept! Then she made some suggestions based on what she heard, it was interesting to sit with her for my consul first, because she heard what I really wanted, which was a cut and color that was original, easy to manage and that did not make me look like I was trying to be 16 ( I am over 40). I now have a work of art and proudly display my ?get ready in 5 min? and look fabulous hair cut color and style. If your stylist is still telling YOU how you like your hair, come on over to Danita?s salon, she will actually listen to you :)

I tried Lush after reading the other reviews on Cityscape and I am SOOOO glad I did! She gave me a great cut and even did my eyebrows. She was easy to talk to; none of those uncomfortable silences there can sometimes be with a stylist. When I went back to get highlights, she listened to what I wanted and made suggestions when I asked. When I left, I looked and felt like the woman my husband married, not like the tired mom I was starting to see in the mirror. They also did my hair for a formal function and it was GORGEOUS! I have gotten so many compliments!!! I'm even sending my mom to her... You all are outstanding!

And this salon I could definitely say is worth going to because their team of experts will really take care of your hair. I had my hair straightened and colored and I am beyond satisfied with the result. Its been 4 months now and my hair still straight and smooth. And today I'm coming back to get a hair cut and color. I found a terrific stylist, Jenna, at Lush. I had two terrific haircuts from her, she was nice, down to earth and friendly. Then suddenly she left (read all the other negative reviews). Lush gave me no information on where she went. I was notified only a few days before my appt and they gave me some young girl who had no clue how to cut straight hair. It was all lopsided when she was done. A few weeks later I went to another salon to get it repaired. The owner called me and tried to get me to come in to Lush for repair but I was really not interested. I wonder why they cannot keep their good stylists or at least let the stylists take their clients with them. I loved Jenna. If anyone knows where she is, I want to know, Lush was not giving me any info.

I've been to this salon once for a cut and color and just a week or so afterwards my color faded A LOT!! By the time I reached my second appointment the color was completely out. But that is just one problem...a major one if that. I was on my way to my second appointment and one of the highways was closed due to an accident. I called the salon and told them I'm running a bit behind and I'm going to take a different route but no worries, I'm on my way. A few minutes later I get a call from the owner and boy was she the most classless, untactful, unprofessional woman I have ever dealt with. I told her I was lost and I told her what crossroad I was at and instead of asking if I needed help in getting to the salon (she knew I was not from the area) she said if I don't get there very soon my appointment will be cancelled and I will have to pay for the services. She said this is because they have to be respectful of the next client's appointment....(Strange considering the one and only time I was there I had to wait 30 minutes). So I asked if I can be worked in somehow and she said, "WE ARE BOOKED, IT'S THE HOLIDAYS"! So here I was lost in Indianapolis and my GPS kept taking me in circles and she didn't offer help or compassion just a cold "you sound screwed" attitude. What a class act! I have never been talked to the way this woman talked to me. I work with business owners everyday and none of them are as classless and clueless as her. She cannot sustain a business treating people the way she does. Her turnover rate has to keep her up at night and the stress of hiring and firing must be adding years to this woman. Her daughter has recently left the salon as well so I'm not sure who this Danita lady will find that will be loyal to her and her salon. If you are looking for a salon obviously this one has enough bad reviews for you to just STAY AWAY!! If you are looking for top salons in the area look at Villagio, Trichology Salon and Splash. hair needs!

I have had bad hair coloring experiences with my former salon so I was ready for a change and went online and searched and read all the great comments about Lush Salon. I had a very positive first time experience with this salon and will be a repeat customer provided they don't get too expensive. The staff is friendly and helpful and not snobs at all. The staff offered hot tea and there was homebaked goodies! Danita was in the salon on my first visit and greeted me personally and was constantly checking on her clients making sure everything is good. She is very hands on and attentive, and interacts with her clients. My stylist was patient and listened to my concerns and colored my hair a natural dark brown. After my visit a week later Danita personally called to ask if I had any concerns or questions. Talk about great follow-up!

Let me start by saying that I never write reviews,however I felt like this one had to be put out there. I haven"t been back to lush since my stylist for almost 2 years had suddenly disappeared . Since I had been going there for her and I had seen the other stylist work and read the actual real ( all negative) reviews I decided not to risk it going back! I missed her and my hair did as well that was my only reason ever to continue going there! Anyway, I went to get my regular mani/pedi appointment at VILLAGGIO in giest where I had been going since they opened and to my surprise I also found my old stylist! AMANDA PIPER! I was sooo relieved!! It had almost been a year!! So for those of you out there that were also missing her I just wanted to give you a heads up! Because if you were like me and completely lost without her lush was NEVER going to tell you were she went!! I hope this helps!! I could help but spread this wonderful news so close to Christmas!! After moving here from Colorado, I searched for someone who made me as happy as my previous stylist. I heard about Lush Salon from a co worker and gave it a try. I wanted an appointment with Danita, but she was booked in the time frame I needed. The receptionist, offered to put me on a cancelation list, but I didn't expect to go before my appointment, but, they did call when they had a cancelation! I cannot say enough about how great, sweet, and helpful she was. She consulted with me on what I wanted, and then SURPRISE~~~she did exactly what we had discussed. THEN, step by step, showed me how to style my hair at home. Now, I love my previous hairdresser, but she never did that. Instead of feeling like I will only look that good when I leave the salon, I can now style it pretty good myself. (Well, she still does better than me, but I am not as far off!) The bonus to Lush is that it is very easy going and welcoming. Everyone there is very nice, I think 3 different people asked if I wanted something to drink! They made me feel comfortible and I look great. What more could you ask for? By the way, I would like to say that Danita is a kept secret. If everyone knew how amazing she was with hair color, she would never have a day off. No where on the salon website does it give justice to her knowledge, awards, or the fact that she teaches hair color to other stylists. And one of the greatest things about her is, she is not arrogant. AT ALL. You can tell that she really loves what she does, and I have the pleasure of wearing it! Thanks!

I've been going to Danita since my college days at IU.... almost 8 years ago. She always has the best style cuts for me and the most wonderful color techniques. I've grown from just a kid to a working corporate woman. My hair cut and color are always stylish and appropriate as I evolve into new phases of my life. She remembers everything we talk about and all my likes and dislikes, but still suggests new techniques, colors or cuts if she thinks it will suit me. Great Job!

After having my hair styled and colored by the same stylist (in my home) for 7 years, I was totally freaked out about starting with someone new. One of my best friends (who has an amazing eye for style) knew about Danita and recommended that I check her out. She said that one of her friends had gone to her and returned looking hotter than she had ever seen him. I decided to give it a try. What do all my friends now (very sincerely) tell me? THAT I (AND MY HAIR) HAVE NEVER LOOKED BETTER!! Their reports are totally supported by all the attention I get on the street - about three times more than before!! Danita has an artist's eye for color and shape. She advised me to change my color and the style and did so with such warmth and sensitivity that I actually trusted her. She is now my new stylist. I give her my highest recommendation (and I am not easy to please, LOL)!!!!

I had my engagement photos scheduled for last September and unfortunately I was without a makeup artist. I had gone to several bridal shows and wasn't thrilled with the makeup I saw there. It wasn't until a friend recommended I visit Lush. She had her wedding makeup done with there and her pictures came out BEAUTIFUL! So I scheduled a consultation and was immediately impressed. They were so knowledgeable and knew exactly what would work for my face. And let me tell you, my engagement pictures came out AMAZING!!! They have this incredible gift for eyebrow sculpting and eye makeup application which makes you look like a star. And the makeup is so eco-friendly and light that I feel like my skin is breathing...and yet you get amazing coverage. Needless to say I immediately booked Lush for my wedding. All my bridesmaids loved her and are now using Lush makeup products. My wedding was last month and I just got the proofs back from my photographer. And what can I say? Again, amazing, beautiful pictures. They also gives makeup classes if you are the 'do it yourself' kind of girl. I highly recommend you book a consultation and see for yourself.

All I could say after I left the salon was WOW. I loved my hair. I have had many bad salon experiences and was a little nervous about trying a new place. I even drove forty minutes to get there, I live in Boone county, so it was a slight haul. I will never go anywhere else again, I don't believe they could possibly do a better job. I have gotten raving compliments on my new hair color and he gave me a gorgeous sweeping cut. They use Kerastase products so my hair felt incredibly healthy after the coloring. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great, tailored cut, color, anything. They have a highly professional staff, they know what they are doing, VERY EXPERIENCED. I would trust them with any service. Go check them out, you will be SO happy that you did!!!

I just got the Brazilian keratin treatment at Lush and I can?t tell you how healthy and silky my hair looks....my hair is naturally straight..However after constantly bleaching it ...it looked like a sponge. The process took about 3 hours and I couldn't wash my hair for 4 days after getting it done...Once I washed my hair it was amazing how healthy and shiny my hair was and is every time I wash it....I am so happy I found out about this treatment.

I have had my hair colored at Lush for years now. I originally went after my hair was a few different shades and very dry to the point where it almost had to be cut off. They saved my hair. Every time I get a compliment on my hair I am reminded of who saved it. I read the terrible reviews about Lush . This so called client is a little bit too knowledgeable about the salon and its products and procedures. Also, by the way this "client" wrote this review lets me know that it is not one of their clients...they are too educated and would know how write a review. This disgruntled "client" sounds more like a bitter ex-employee... It's a shame that people would go out of their way to discredit the work of stylists so professional and knowledgeable about hair. If anyone would ever like to see before and after pictures of my hair, I will gladly e-mail them to you.

I mean seriously????? Can you people not tell when the owner or the other employees write their own comments?? RIGHT BELOW IS AN EMPLOYEE! I would say well more than half are. EVERYONE START JUST READING ALL THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!!! THEY ARE ALL TRUE! They cant keep a stylists for over a month, the owner is down right awful and only wants your money, they are all FAKE! If you have to reschedule because something important in YOUR life has come up....Dont think for a minute they will understand and work with you. They will either charge you full service no matter WHAT.. Awhile back, My friends mother got in a car accident and she had to cancel last minute to rush to the hospital. Well she was asked to bring proof from a doctor or she would be charged her $200.00 for no services! RIDICULOUS!! To potential customers...DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! OR give them a cent!

i'm a 42 year old lady and am a rather glamorous girl at heart. recently, in the last year or so, i've gone almost completely gray. now gray may look fabulous on many women but it didn't on me and i was feeling sad and blue. i needed some dramatic changes, i wanted a "new look" but was a little nervous. Lush was recommended by a very dear friend and i decided to make the leap. i'm relatively new to Indiana and must say the idea of finding a new salon, new stylist AND completely re-vamping my look was nerve-racking. i only wish i could post a picture right now, my hair is GORGEOUS!!!!! i just got home from dinner, with my new hair, and i feel like a revived woman. i feel younger (not that 42 is a drag, 'cause it ain't), vibrant, hot. i had no idea my "old" hair was bringing me down so much. first, the salon is beautiful, a nice mellow atmosphere, tastefully done. second, the receptionist is super friendly, somewhat rare these days in my experience. EVERYONE in the salon is super friendly, it wasn't intimidating at all, sometimes salons can be too trendy for their own good. third, when it comes to color. i went in with salt & pepper, shoulder length hair, some black low-lights in it, a real mess. i left with a super cute, short, BLONDE 'do. my hair is stunning, i didn't think it was possible. i've been blonde three other times in my life and two of those times i ended up having to shave my head. not only is my hair still on my head but it's shiny AND soft. whoo-hoo! i will be a loyal client for as long as i'm in Indianapolis!

This was definitely one of the most pleasurable experiences I have had at a hair salon. The owner and the staff are the most hospitable individuals and ensure you are thoroughly taken care of. They continuously check to ensure you have everything you need. The best part of all; this was the best highlight and haircut I have had in the area. They ask relevant questions to ensure they meet your expectations each step of the way. I brought in a picture of exactly what I wanted and they exceeded my expectations. Anyone that has half a brain......DON'T GO HERE!!!! It is the most "Upity" salon I have ever walked into, and not welcoming. I have only been once, but I heard from some co-workers that they can't keep the staff. That ought to tell you something about how it is run by the owner. The color I got was nothing to right home about. The girl that I had hardly spoke and seemed unsure of what she was doing. To say the least, I wanted a VERY sassy trendy cut, and I walked out with a NEWS ANCHOR BOB. It's not terrible, but certainly NOT what I was going for. I thought the parking was TERRIBLE!!!! Save your time and money and keep looking for that perfect salon.

There is nothing positive to say about this salon. The stylists change every couple months - when I called to make an appointment with one I had been to for the last few months the receptionist told me she was having "personal issues" (hello, is that professional to share?). Every time I have had an appointment every stylist in there has been new. The last straw was when I called to reschedule an appointment and the owner literally hung up on me in annoyance for rescheduling. RUDE! This place is overpriced, condescending, and completely full of itself - hello you are located in Indianapolis, not LA. Come to terms with it already.

The majority of people rating this salon have got to be employees. This salon could not be more full of itself and rude. I called to reschedule an appointment - and the owner literally hung up on me for doing so. Are you kidding? Is that their idea of customer service? Despite the lame photos of herself with "celebrities" (kato? seriously?) this business owner appears to have no clue about running a business - try getting out of Indianapolis once in awhile.

When I read the reviews for this salon I thought, okay I'll give them a try. I was going out that night and wanted a shampoo and style. I figured if I'm trying a new salon I better not go for the cut or color just yet. Well, let me start by saying the reviews are true. All of the girls in there are really nice. They did a great job on my hair and were very social and friendly. When I told them I was going out that night, they asked if I wanted my make up done, and promised it would look natural. Wow! They did my makeup and I swear by their mineral make up now. I had a really nice time there and I felt great when I left. Not too many places do that for me.

My wife and I are very pleased with the hair treatments we get from Lauren at the Lush Salon. She does an outstanding job on color, styling, and cutting for Cynthia and cuts my hair in the short professional style I prefer. She's the very best, friendly, conscientious, and professional in all of her appointments. If you want to get her talking just ask her about her dogs. Seems like we've known her all of her life. The salon is convenient to other attractions in the surrounding Keystone at the Crossing i.e., shopping, movies, and the various eateries. We frequently have lunch or take in a movie after our appointments

I have never really gotten my hair cut and styled at a salon, I've always been a "supercuts" kinda girl. I wanted to try something different so I called to make an appt with Lush after reading such great reviews on citysearch. I have NEVER been happier with the way my hair looks! They did exactly what I didn't even know I wanted. I feel GORGEOUS! The salon was really clean and sassy and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I have never been one to write reviews, even if I had a great experience, but I was so ecstatic about my hair I had to share it. Hope this helped!

I agree with the review below mine here as well. They are fantastic! I had highlights done at Lush and could not be happier. I have really short hair and find that before I came to Lush that I would sometime look like an animal print rug :) . I have used several stylists here because I seem to be a little more impulsive on my hair appointment days. They are always able to accommodate my schedule ( not necessarly with the same stylist, but they are all top notch, so no worries) If you are looking for great highlights, come here!

I used to be at regular at Lush until two of my favorite hairstylest left. I went back anyway and had someone who dyed my hair darker when I wanted highlights. I wanted to have it fixed there by someone else and the owner said it had to be the same person. So I never went back. The owner also fired one of my best friends.

I've been going to Lush Hair Studio for about 4 years. They recently recommended that I get the NEW Keratin Hair Straightening Treatment for frizzy hair. It was the one of the best decisions I have made! Everything she told me would happen with my hair has happened. My hair is sleek, straight, silky, and beautiful. The frizz is gone, styling is so fast, no flat iron or round brush! People have asked me if I've had my hair colored, cut, or that I've lost weight. None of these happened. The only thing I've done is the Keratin Treatment! Despite the hot weather and humidity, my hair looks and feels great (No Frizz)! In the past I would have been a giant frizz ball the second I walked outside. It should last 3-5 months depending on months depending on how often I wash my hair. It's a miracle! Thanks and all the staff for making me so happy and for making my hair look SO great! NO MORE FRIZZ EVER AGAIN!!

I never write reviews, but feel compelled. The salon is swanky, like a hotel lobby in Miami. I had a cut with the owner, Danita. I was happy with the cut, but, shocked when I was charged $90! I felt as if I'd been robbed, seriously. This establishment has outpriced themselves in this market. This is Indianapolis, not L.A. Even if people have that kind of money in this city, they don't have that mind-set. Obviously, I will not be going back.

Lauren at Lush changed my life with her Brazilian Keratin Hair treatment! I'm no longer a slave to my curly hair! I used to spend hundreds on hair products and plan everything around the time it took to do my hair-now i just wash and go. I can excercise, dance, sweat, and my hair doesn't poof or get frizzy-I don't even have to wash it afterward! I still can't believe it! My hair had breakage from overprocessing before we started-it's actually in better condition now. She even trimmed off the ends and styled my hair before I left on the day i got my treatment. They say this treatment will last for 4-6 months before it gradually wears off. If it lasts for 3 it will be worth it! I'm so glad I found this salon! This is the first time in my life i can say "I love my hair"!!!!

I went into this salon with very little idea of what I wanted. I told them I wanted something completely different but that low-maintenance is essential. I walked out with the best cut ever! It is very chic and professional and yet incredibly cute. And the best thing is I spend all of 2 seconds on it every morning! I just shower and go! And I get compliments all the time. They gave me more than I could have ever expected! Oh...and not only is the cut great, but the salon itself is amazing. So cute and classy. And everyone there is super nice. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

After 10 yrs. with the same stylist/salon, I decided it was time to try something new. I read reviews for salons in the area and decided on trying it out. I have never used anyone that a friend didn't personally recommend, so I was a little apprehensive. I told the receptionist I was new--described my hair (wavy/frizzy/highlighted- but wear it straight).
I was very nervous and a little intimidated by all the beautiful people in the salon when I arrived but they made me feel welcome and at ease right away (the glass of wine helped also). They recommended a few changes and I went along. Wow--I love my haircut and color! It is not a dramatic change but still a change--I've gotten so many compliments. Everyone in the salon that day was friendly and attentive. I have definitely found my new salon/stylist.

I went to Lush the other day ( I had a few co-workers here at Lily say how they love the work they have done there I also saw their cool ads on the big screen at the Colts game! ) I had about 6 months of outgrowth and really wanted some natural looking dimension. I was really tired of my dull, grown out hair. I just didn't have the motivation to have my hair done again. My past experiences haven't been that great. I either ended up with strips that were too light or nothing really special for a small fortune. This time was different! I don't know how she did it, but she weaved in two different colors and my hair is absolutely beautiful! I'm so happy! It all flows perfectly. It?s so shiny and dimensional. The colors are more than I could have hoped for. I could go on and on, bottom line the best hair stylist I've ever been to and to say I highly recommend her is an understatement!

Susann the women who did my long hair was such a great find. My cut and blowdry was exactly what I was looking for. The change wasn't radical but it gave me such a lift. Susann listened to me and with a few of her professional suggestions we came up with a look that I was so pleased with. She wasn?t scissor happy !!!

I visited the salon with my mom on a short notice. It was no problem to get an appointment. The team welcomed us really warmly and my mom got a brand new hair style. First it was difficult for her because it was something new (give a over 50 year one a new style!) but now, months later she still loves it! The owner did a really good job and I'm so glad. I really can recommend this salon with his nice atmosphere and the relaxing environment. Love it!

I went today for the first time as a walk-on. I called them and left a message. Someone called me back in a few hours. I was going to fix a horrible cut I got someplace else. Everyone was so friendly and they did an awesome job on my hair. I also got a wonderful head massage during the shampoo/conditioner time. The salon is very clean and chic. The music wasn't so loud and I was able to carry on a conversation with the stylist. I absolutely loved them and would use them regularly again.

It's a little disconcerting to read these negative reviews about Lauren. I have been going to her regularly for a year, and each time I sit in that chair I pass the reins over to her. She seems to know exactly what I want when I come in and I've never disliked anything she's done. She keeps me up-to-date on the newest trends and fashions, and her expertise is apparent when I leave the salon. I always get compliments on my hair and always credit Lauren's creativity for my newest 'do. I've never had a problem with paying what I do for my hair, the results and quality are definitely worth it. I would highly HIGHLY recommend Lauren.

I moved back to Indiana a year ago, and I have been to at least 7 different stylists since I've been back. Call me choosy, but I'm looking for something special in a stylist, especially since I'm getting married next month and I need my hair to look amazing. Each time I've gotten my hair done, I've gone on CitySearch and booked appointments with top rated salons with stylists that have had multiple recommendations from satisfied clients. Every time, my hair looked fine, but not great. Just passable. I have very fine hair that is prone to dryness and breakage, and getting it to look healthy and bright is really hard considering I like to be really blonde. Basically, I've been looking for a miracle worker After another round of careful deliberation, I decided to book my appointment at Lush and HALLELUJAH! I've finally, at long last, found a truly gifted salon. They listened carefully to what I wanted with my hair, and came up with a plan of action to get it looking fabulous for my wedding day. I also had a blast just talking with them, it's not like the usual obligatory chit chat you usually get at the hair salon. After I got a FREE Kerastase treatment (use that coupon ladies!!) and blowdry, my hair looked totally different. The hair color is even better than what I was expecting, and it looks a LOT more healthy and vibrant. I am giddy over it!! What's better than awesome looking hair? Not a whole lot. The salon itself is very cool, and the fact that they have the two best haircare lines out there, Kerastase and Shu Uemura, is even more icing on the cake. All in all, I had a truly wonderful experience and I have the shiny, healthy, fuller-looking hair to prove it!! Snap!

I got married on May 30th and Lush was by far the best vendor for the event! They were reliable and so easy to work with. Lauren does the BEST airbrush makeup! My sister after having gotten her makup done said "I didn't even look this good on MY wedding day!" I would strongly recommend Lush for your wedding you will not be disappointed! After getting my makeup done all my bridesmaids who were in the bridal suite decided at that time to get their makeup done too. I went to Suzann the first time and she foiled my hair with a warm blonde and the second time I went to Lauren and she foiled my hair and gave me a beautiful icy blonde for the summer! Listen up people!!! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my time spent at the lovely Lush. Let me just start out by saying I have been back living in Fishers now for just about 3 years....and in that 3 years I have been to over 10 different salons/barber shops/spas etc. looking for that perfect girl (or adorable gay boy as the case may be) to not only do exactly what I ask for, but to have that rare, innate sense of just how I want my hair to look. And believe me there has been some major bumps along the way. Then I stumble into Lush. I sweet little salon nestled in the very heart of Keystone at the Crossing....(also a salon that has been there for 5 years) which happens to give me a sense of comfort. I came into Lush for a specific reason, to get hair extentions. As anyone might guess this is quite a long process, so I spent the majority of my day here. This Salon has a super cute vibe, beautiful paint job and super fun stylists that aren?t pretentious in any way!! The wonderful woman that did my hair Ms. Lauren (or as I like to call her Ms ?L?) was RAD! She was super fun to talk and hang out with while extremely quick and efficient in getting the job done (I would think it would be a tedious task, but she did it with strength and ease). Leaving the end result with me litterally throwing my head around like I was in one of those Pantene commercials. The color, the style, and that fact that the extensions blended so well with my real hair has won me completely over. My search for the perfect hair salon has ended with Lush."

After relocating to Indianapolis I was faced with the usual dilemma...whose going to cut and color my hair to make me look better than I deserve? Honestly, packing suitcases and boxes is easier. Thank god for the internet...after reading all these amazing reviews, I gave this place a try. Danita (the owner) really sets the tone for this great space. Fun, personable and a top notch professional. The place is spacious, clean and the staff is warm...no attitude or pretentiousness here. Now for the haircut and color. Phenomenal! I am able to style it several ways, the color lasted longer than any other place I've been to, the free maintenance cut is a great bonus. I used to get my hair cut and colored every 3 wks just to keep it really nice (kinda obssesive...) now I can go 5 weeks. And it's really fun to go there, seriously. I've been to many salons that were really nice but there was always an air of tension, or drama or both (maybe because I'm originally from LA (duh...!) You feel relaxed and pampered here. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I am so sick of being tossed from stylist to stylist here. My most recent stylist, and I believe the third person I have been to now (because each time I find a stylist I like they leave) has now left as well! Just like the other two reviews, the salon called me to see if my stylist had tried to contact me, are they kidding?!?! The atmosphere always feels stuffy and snobby, and the prices seem to be different everytime I get my hair done. The last time I was in there I did not recognize ANY of the stylists in there except the owner. I am sooo sick of this place, I will not be back!!!

After several disappointing and very expensive experiences at 2 other Indy salons, I was very nervous about trying yet another new hairdresser. But after reading great reviews for Lush, I made an appointment with and my only regret is not finding them sooner. The salon is tiny and nothing flashy, but everyone was very friendly with zero attitude which was a pleasant change. They spent 10 mins going over what I did and didn't want and looking through color charts with me. They also outlined the cost for each part of the service so there were no surprises and I got a great permanent color and cut for literally half the price of the last Carmel salon I visited. I would definitely recommend Lush and am very relieved my search is over. This is the only review I have ever posted - that's how happy I was with my experience!

Go to this salon RIGHT NOW!. You will look great, guaranteed. They will make your hair color look fantastic and will take years off your age. Plus, their funny and a pleasure to talk with. I've had a great time each time. My hair looks better then ever, they carry Kerastase and they treat you great! I've had mimosas? on Saturdays, fresh baked cookies other times. Some of the stylist are expensive but you know the old saying "you get what you pay for" and at Lush you get more. I can't say enough, I've had Lexi and Lauren do my hair and they are both great!!!

Lush is a salon like no other. Every time I have been in there, not only was it fun, but I have walked out with gorgeous hair. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, patient and warm, they listen to your requests and make every effort to follow thru. You don't feel like a 'number' when you are there. The Kerastase product line of shampoos, conditioners, and styling products are easy to use, and live up to their promise.
This salon is easily accessible (next to Bonefish Grill), convenient from the city and suburbs, and boasts an upbeat, bright atmosphere making your time comfortable and relaxing. You will want to stay longer! Whether you are seeking a trendy hue or an informal do, no place will accommodate your needs better than this fresh salon.

I have been a client of this salon for a year. Before that, I had been on an eternal search for "just the right place?. As soon as I had my first appointment here, I knew I did not need to look any further. Danita has been my stylist and colorist. She is an artist who takes the time to make sure you are 100% satisfied. I am so glad I continued to search and found this place! Everyone is very helpful and all the other staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and sincere. This place cares about their clients! I can compare it to those awful other places I had gone to...with $100 haircuts that take 3 minutes, rushed service, the hard sell by the staff for expensive products, long waits, inferior hair products, etc etc. None of that here!!

I can't agree more with ALL THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!!!!!!!! The owner and her staff have got to be the rudest people in the industry. Not to mention, every time you go in you NEVER see a familiar stylist except for the owner and her daughter. That ought to tell everyone that she can't keep her stylist. I have given this place 3 chances, and I will NEVER go back or NEVER recomend this facility. I have traveled all over the U.S. and had my hair styled by the BEST OF THE BEST, and this is not even in the same category!!!!! I can't imagine an owner that tells a potential client to leave because they come in with children. Furthermore, i read that if you have to cancel less than 24 hrs. you are fully charged. MY GOD, THERE ARE EMERGENCIES THAT ARISE!!! There should be a LAW against that!!!!!!!!!!

I notice that most reviews for Lush are from women so as a male I wanted to give Lexi at Lush a highly deserved compliment. By the way I NEVER do these review things. That said, I was in Itown over the Indy 500 week which my birthday also happened to fall into that time frame as well. My friends at home urged me to get my hair cut at a salon while I was there. I did some research via the internet and Lush stood out as the top contender. I called and scheduled my appointment with Lexi for color and a cut. When I arrived I had a brief consultation and asked her what she would do if given complete artistic control. She explained and I felt comfortable with her vision so I told her to go with it. Of course she inquired about my likes and dislikes of my current cut from the stylist I have been visiting for 10+ yrs (felt a bit like I was cheating). Oh well. She started with the color. She chose a shade darker which was really great and very vibrant (nice chocolate brown). She then continued with the cut which more attention, detail and precision was given as if she were fine tuning some antique instrument. I have to say it was truly amazing. She did things to my hair I have never seen done. The outcome was a masterpiece which did take 2 1/2 hours. So be sure to plan your time accordingly. Everyone did comment on how great my hair looked even weeks after when it began to grow out. Go ahead make an appointment at Lush you will not regret it.

Extremely disappointed! I don't ever mind paying top dollar for a quality experience. Lush is not the place...If you are mistaking the overly snobby old woman who runs the place and extremely high prices for quality, you will be either sold by the image or smart and realize you need to move on to a more friendly salon who can offer you great services with a smile and not try to rob your pocket book. This place offers absolutely nothing...the atmosphere is extremely unfriendly and I was unimpressed at the small, crackerbox arena. Since when does a salon think that being rude to people was the way to win them over. My hair cut was $55 and very average...I also received a consultation on hair extensions and was quoted $2500.00 WHAT A JOKE!!! My sister is a Hairdreams specialist in Dallas and she told me that this is double what a salon should be charging for these extensions...Rip off....Also, I know that Salon 01 in Carmel (Laura) is doing them for almost half the price also. Hairdreams is definitely the way to go for bonded extensions but come one Danita...let's keep it classy on the prices. Well, my title says it all...run run run!

I turned 52 last year and gave myself the present I always wanted: long, straight, beautiful, shiny hair--and lots of it. Within hours they turned me from an average-looking middle-aged mom with 3 kids into a cool looking woman that appeared at least 10 years younger. And that was just the beginning. I have since lost 10 pounds and gained a ton of confidence. I just love my hair and the way it looks so natural--whether I curl it with hot rollers, use a curling iron, or use a straightening iron to give that sleek shiny straight look, it always looks like my own hair--only way better. Without extensions my normal hair will, at best, grow to my shoulders. It's always been thin and basically lifeless. The extensions have not damaged my hair either. I researched online before I got the extensions. Be sure your stylist is in a certified salon and is a certified extension stylist or you may not be getting the amount or quality of extensions you are paying for. Actually I tried "weft" extensions first, which were put on at another salon because I thought they would be less expensive. My mistake. Four weeks later half of them had fallen out, and my daughter took the other half out with Wesson oil. The next day I went to Lush and they put in their bonded extensions. That was 6 months ago and I just went back yesterday for their volumizing which puts the volume back in. They gives you options up front, (volumizing or full head of hair), they give you straight answers on how to care for your extensions and how long the extensions will last. In addition to color choices, They have different thicknesses of hair in straight, wavy, or curly hair. I truly can't recommend them enough.

OMG - what this woman can do!! I also have the very fine hair and have been unable to grow it long because it always starts splitting once it reaches my shoulders. I was just about to give up the vision of me with long flowing locks and then I found Danita at Lush Salon. FABULOUS!!! I believe some people can learn this trade, but I feel that Danita was born with it in her genes. She goes above being able to make your hair look the way you want it to, she can make it look better than you thought it ever could. I love my hair extensions and everyone has told me that they would have never known if they hadn't seen me prior to getting them. I have had so many compliments on both the cut and the absolutely phenomenal job she did on blending my colors. Thank you Danita - you are stuck with me for life!!!

I have read a ton of reviews about Lauren Melvin?s amazing work on Citysearch and always thought about giving her a try, but always ended up going back to my comfort zone with a stylist who I have been unhappy with for years. Until I read her wonderful write up in the Indianapolis Star and realized it was time. I made an appointment and started telling my friends about my decision. Funny how word of mouth works because one of my friends (whose hair I love) already goes to Lauren. After getting my hair cut and colored I can see why all the buzz. Now there are two of us in our group of friends who have radiating hair. I sure am glad I gave her a try. I will definitely return!

Based on rave reviews of Danita White and Lush in Citysearch, I called and scheduled an appointment for a highlight and cut. I'm so glad that I did. Danita was a pleasure to meet. She was friendly, upbeat and very professional. She made me feel comfortable and really understood my frustration with my previous hair color experiences. My friends told me their high standards and high demand for employment by stylists have purged less talented stylists to move to salons that do not need edgy or trendy staff. Danita consulted with me and had suggestions that she felt would improve my color and give me what I was hoping to achieve. Well, it worked. It has been over a month and my hair color is rich, shiny and outstanding. She "updated" my cut but still stayed within my styling capabilities and it has been terrific. The cut is very manageable for me and my husband really likes it and I LOVE it. Thanks Danita, I'll be seeing you again. Cherie

This salon is a textbook example of the horrible stereotype that has been given to successful salons. LUSH has earned it's reputation by Danita White & her spawn. She has shown to be entirely self absorbed & impossible to work for clearly by the rate at which great stylists come and quickly go. Danita has tried to claim all clients as "property of LUSH" and has never allowed any information to past stylists whereabouts to loyal clients. I will not put my money in that pocket or fund the silver spooned child that clearly is the only stylist that has stayed at LUSH.

Jenna came highly?no?VERY highly recommended by several of my friends, and after seeing the amazing job she did for the bride and bridal party at a wedding I recently attended, I knew I wanted a turn in her chair. I knew going there that she was good...but I was still amazed at just how much I loved my new cut. She knew just how to cut it, style it and what products to use to give it the exact look I wanted. She even took the time to show me how to style it myself at home using the hair dryer and round brush. I am SO thrilled that I finally found a stylist that listens to what I want, knows how to get the look I'm after and then puts an extra special something in there that makes you LOVE your hair again! I already booked my second appointment. She's a very talented stylist and it's obvious that she loves what she does. It was a pleasure and I can't wait to do it again! Thank you Jenna!!!!!

Highly recommend this place! Went to see Emily after reading positive reviews and have to say, they are true. She's fabulous and so is Lexi. My hair was in dire need after having been on medication for months on end. She took the time to listen and gave me a semi-permanent color (which I LOVE!) and some highlights (which I also LOVE!). Both of them add to the wonderful haircut! Have received lots of great compliments! Will definitely keep coming back and refer friends as well. Enjoy the experience, you'll look amazing afterward!

I was surprised to see the last reviews for Lauren--MY experience was fantastic--I am PLEASED with both my cut and color. I found Lush by searching "salons specializing in trendy cuts". I spoke to the receptionist who was very polite. I was looking to make a drastic change (drastic for me anyway) and I shared my thoughts with her and she quickly and confidently recommended someone for the job. When I got there, the customer service was awesome. They offered me a beverage and my stylist wasn't running behind which I hate about most places I have had my hair done. Lauren was great. She was friendly and we seemed to have some common personality traits. I consider getting my hair done part of "my time" and I like to relax and enjoy myself. I usually like to read and although we chatted, she also gave me some time to myself to read my book and I appreciated that. Like one of the last reviewers I am pretty particular about my hair. This is THE HAPPIEST I have been in a VERY long time. Lauren listened to my needs, my cut is adorable and easy to maintain, and the color is great. I was shocked by the cost because I have paid MUCH, MUCH more for work that I haven't been near as pleased with. I LOVE my new cut and it is getting rave reviews so far, which is nice. I have already been asked several times about the salon and stylist and have certainly shared Laurens name with everyone who has asked. She has been doing hair over three years and traveled all over the country to advanced cutting academies, runway hair fashion shows and photo shoots for several national magazines. To the last reviewers--I would certainly take the salon up on its guarantee. They gave me a flier explaining their desire for customer satisfaction--not all salons do this--and they even called to be sure I was happy! I think they mean it when they say they want you to be satisfied!!

I have never in my life seen such unprofessionalism! My mother and I had been going there for quite sometime. They were normally decent and did a pretty good job although expensive. We went in one more time and we will NEVER go back again. First of all they were rude to my guests but Lauren turned my hair ORANGE! like Hayley from Paramore color. I told her i wanted DIRTY BLONDE AND I GOT ORANGE! I could have done a better job myself. Not only did she get my color wrong but she was so rough with my hair my hair was falling out for days after. She doesnt even know what colors to use she has to ask her mother! My mother went in and got a basic cut and highlight. Now you would think this would be maybe $200 for the both of us i mean it was a cut/highlight and a cut/all over color. NO IT WAS $600!!!!!!! I left crying because my hair looked absolutly AWFUL! I went to Sally's the next day and bought cheap color so that I could atleast be seen in public! Thank goodness for people like Lacy at SPLASH hair salon and Alexis at VILLAGIO! They made my hair look amazing after that disaster! 5 TREATMENTS OF PROF. CONDITIONING AND COLORING LATER!!! my hair looks 92834923849328 zillion times better! I could have bought hair extensions for the price I payed to have Lauren mess up my hair!

WARNING: DO NOT GO TO LUSH! unless youre willing to pay car payments on your hair to have it wrecked!

"Stunning!!!" That was the word my friends and family used to describe the custom, multidimensional color and haircut designed for me by the stylists at Lush. From start to finish my experience was a joy. On my first visit they sat down with me to discuss my needs and the ultimate direction I wanted my hair to go. I told them what I wanted, they told me what would work best and the rest is history. They went to work and created a gorgeous custom red haircolor that stops people in their tracks. The result was a versatile haircut that lays perfectly in its naturally curly state and looks truly exquisite when straight. As if that was not enough, they then educated me on caring for my hair and what products would work best but never pressured me into buying. Definitely worth every penny! Thank you soo much for posting where you found Alexis!! I have not been able to go to LUSH since she left. She is amazing!! I am soo happy she doesnt work there anymore. Like someone said two posts down, I will never recommend this place to ANYONE. It is just a bunch of catty women who could careless about their clients and think they live in Beverly Hills and are mistaken. A salon is supposed to be a fun, loud, trendy, friendly atmosphere. You wont find that at LUSH. And yes, you are right the owners daughter is just out of highschool and messed my girlfriends hair up as well. She is not a top stylist. If you like uptight, stuck up women then I would recommend this place.

I was searching for a new place to have my hair colored. I found Citysearch and then saw Lush. Everyone was so impressed that I thought I would try them. I was nervous going to someone new. The salon has hired several new stylists from both New York and Los Angeles that bring with them a fresh cutting edge style to Indianapolis. Emily from California gave me her undivided attention and discussed how to cut my hair and what she envisioned when I came back to get my hair colored. I loved my hair cut but my color is what really impressed me. I loved it. The highlights and lowlights really complimented my face. She knows what she is doing and her recommendations for me personally was right on the money. She also discussed with me how much it would cost right up front so there were no surprises. She did a wonderful job better than I where I had been getting my hair colored and cut and for less than what I had been paying. They also are the only salon in Indiana that offers the new Brazilian Keratin Treatment for hair smoothing. I watched a woman with a huge curly head of hair leave with beautiful flat hair. I would definitely be going back and would recommend them for those who would like a personal feel when getting your hair done.

I was going to LUSH for a while and I have never been happier with my color. My stylist left on maternity leave and I had learned she was not returning so I was put with another stylist and had the worst experience EVER! Not only did she do a terrible job, she was very rough with my head and to top it off she talked about herself and stared at herself the entire time. Then I found out she hasn't even been out of high school for 1 year...which means she obviously doesnt have much experience doing hair. It especially concerned me since the owner assured me Lauren was one of the top stylists. I have a girlfriend that went to her as well and she also had a bad experience. I will never go back and encourage others not to as well. I had heard many horror stories about the owner and the girls that work there and I have realized that they are all true!!!! If anyone knows where Alexis has gone please post it....she is absolutely amazing and my hair needs her desperately!!!!!

If you want long, thick, fabulous hair that every woman will envy then you NEED to go see the stylists at Lush. I walked into the salon with short (and I mean short!), damaged hair and walked out with long, healthy, luxurious, thick, FABULOUS hair! When all my GF's saw my hair they were extremely jealous of my flowing locks! I have had a ton of people compliment me on my hair and those who I tell that they are extensions are Shocked! The color matches perfectly and the installation is flawless! They are THE BEST! You simply MUST schedule a consultation! This is the only place to get your extensions.

As soon as I walked into the salon I immediately knew it was high end. I started to get nervous about the price of my haircut because it seemed so upscale. They took great care of me and were so friendly, very professional and fun. I am so thankful for the job she did. I had my hair colored, then highlighted, and low lighted. Afterwards she cut and styled my hair. The result made me look so beautiful and confident; she totally knows what she's doing!! In the end the price was cheaper than I've ever paid at other salons for only a haircut!!! The cost is so reasonable for what I have now. Thank you so much. I will definitely be coming again!

I've been with Danita for over a year now. In that year, I've challenged her with a variety of demands. I started with permed curly hair in an extremely unflattering style. She was the first person to truly give me a flattering and MANAGEABLE cut that made my curls look stunning. Then I wanted color--rich, punchy color. Danita custom-formulated a brilliant and lustrous red that made my skin and eyes glow. I have been getting compliments on the color AT LEAST 2 times a week for the past 6 months since I got the new color. Then, I lost 30 pounds, and wanted a change to go with my new look. She used her amazing skill, convinced me to go straight, and gave me the most amazing cut that looks FABULOUS while getting rid of my curls and accenting the new shape of my slimmed-down face. All of my cuts got TONS of compliments--not just my color. So this is it: Danita is great cutting curls, brilliant with straight locks, amazing with color, and has an unbelievable understanding of what her clients want, what would look good on them, and what's current. If you trust her, she'll give you such a good cut, you won't have any trouble reproducing it at home (even if you only want to spend 10-15 minutes on your hair like I do--including drying time). I would recommend no other?selected as Best in Indy absolutely, positively!

I have been struggling in finding not only a competent hair dresser, but one that listens to what you want for over 5 years. I found Lush by the review on CitySearch and thought I would give it a try. I have tried several salons trying to find someone that would highlight my hair the way I asked. I have had it severely damaged, colors I did not want or ask for, more blonde than I wanted. darker with no highlights and big chunky highlights all of which I hated. Getting my hair done was starting to be a scary adventure since I never knew what the outcome would be. Then?. I went to Jenna. She took her time looking at my hair (which resembled a very colorful quilt). I explained that I wanted a natural looking weave with Gold, Carmel and strawberry blonde. For the first time in approximately 5 years? I got what I asked for! The colors are beautiful, blended and very natural looking. She was able to fix most of what was done? and my hair feels wonderful ? NO DAMAGE. Needless to say? Jenna is my new hero (heroine) and I am so thankful I went to her. For the first time in a long time, I came home and loved my hair. Now everything seems to be going right!! My whole attitude has changed since I feel my hair looks good! Not only was Jenna delightful, the whole salon was great, from the receptionist to everyone that works there. Friendly, stylish and comfortable. I have finally found my salon and will be enjoying from now on! The whole experience was wonderful. I can?t say enough about how pleased I am!

There is so much turnover and an overall tense atmosphere in this salon that it is not a relaxing experience at all. Assistants are there one day and gone the next and talked about in front of clients on a regular basis. The owner publicly airs problems and disputes with her employees for her clients to hear; very unprofessional. The number of stylists who have walked out is unbelievable. I've never seen so much turnover at a salon and it makes one wonder if the owner is just too difficult to work for. My experience wa I never knew "who I would be getting", meaning, was she having a good day or bad day and wow, would it be taken out on me.... I've taken my business elsewhere and am very happy. They grade their papers way too high and will likely learn a very hard, but valuable lesson, as their repeat business fades away...This is not a professional operation. Very catty women using their shears to stab each other in the back on a regular basis. Ouch.

I will never step foot in or give this place business again. First off, they act like only their time is valuable. They will charge you full price if you are running 15 minutes late, and you wont get your services. I have had to wait for 30 and sometime 45 minutes for my appt. Secondly, You can feel the tension between the staff. They want it to be a relaxing atmosphere for their clients. But it is soo uptight. They need to relax and realize people are paying that much money, they need to feel like it is a friendly, warm place. I have read before, how there is so much turn over in staff. Its true. I have never seen the same stylist or employee in there more than once or twice. Thirdly, the credit card policy...Before they try and charge you your full price for canceling, being sick, family member in the hospital. Make sure they actually have YOUR signature on the policy with your cc number. MY friend was charged full price for her daughter canceling her appointment the morning of because she was VERY ill. She then realized at a later date she never signed the policy. It was too late to even deal with it, but for all you being charged...make sure you actually signed it and didnt just give it to them over the phone. I would not recommend giving any money to these people. They scam people for their money and treat them badly. It took me five times to finally realize I will never be back!

I'm so pleased that I've found this wonderful salon. I came in for a trim and she added life and vibrance to my hair with some reshaping and a deep conditioning color deposit treatment. This place has all the amenities of a snooty salon in Carmel, just without the snoot! I was offered wine, beer, soda, or water when I arrived. She even had snacks if I was hungry. The walls were covered with awards and placards that boasted the expertise in the beauty department. She is a master at hair color, style, makeup, and beauty education. Lush clientele are strict followers and never go elsewhere (I learned this from another lady while waiting). She also rents out a chair to another lovely lady who seemed to constantly have someone coming in the door. Overall the place was very comfortable, I felt completely at ease and in the hands of a professional. I'm so happy that I discovered her. I'm getting married in May, and I know that she'll be doing the hair and makeup for my wedding party!

Historically, I'm a cheapskate when it comes to my hair. And when I had a So-Low-Maintenance-It's-Just-Boring hairstyle that was just fine. But one day I strolled out of Bonefish Grill, on a whim I went into Lush Salon. "Cut it! Make it interesting! I don't care what you do, or what it costs!" I said. Fate put me with Jenna, who thoughtfully listened to my rant, worked some mysterious magic with her scissors, and sent me out the door with an artful, stylish, layered look that was still low-maintenance -- but also absolutely fabulous! (And it wasn't even that expensive.) After more than FIFTY-TWO people complimented me on my new haircut, I decided I'd found something good. They all know how to cut hair REALLY WELL. Period. I highly recommend her! In all fairness to the rest of the stylists, they must be good as well, since I've watched clients of all different ages and hair types walk out of Lush looking great. I read a previous review about the number of stylists and each of my last three visits all chairs were full of stylists and their newer apprentice stylists watching and learning from the veterans. The salon itself has good feng shui, or karma, or something -- it's full of light, and somehow manages to be both calming and bustling at the same time. And they carry Kerastase products, which are largely environmentally-responsible and natural...like health food for your hair! Finally, I love how the salon has laundered capes that you can wear to avoid getting hair all over your street clothes...it's a nice, spa-like touch

Before now I would have given LUSH a five star rating. Now I'm not so sure. I loved my regular stylist, so imagine my disappointment when I was told she had left. I reluctantly agreed to having someone else do a trim, but when I arrived I was truly shocked. I recognized only two employees, and it looked like they had hired new stylists right out of beauty school. In fact, Danita was showing one new stylist HOW TO CUT LAYERS!! And on a customer, no less! If I had been that customer, I would have been furious! My hair looked OK when I was done, but I am so nervous about going there for a cut and color that I think I may cancel my appointment unless I can get one with Lauren (who seems to be one of the few excellent stylists still there). I just wish I knew where Amanda has gone. I'd follow her there.

I grew up in Indianapolis and was a bit stressed out about finding someone new to cut and color my hair when I moved to back from New York 3 years ago...that is, until I was referred to Lauren last summer. She is awesome...I wanted a dramatic change and told her she could do whatever she thought would suit me...so she cut over 6 inches off my hair before my 30th birthday in November and gave me beautiful highlights...she has done an amazing job with my hair and I will not trust my hair with anyone else. You will definitely appreciate the time she takes to talk to you about what you want and she is very good about figuring out your personal style and personality...and giving you a hairstyle that reflects you. Her training at Vidal Sassoon in Los Angeles and New York bring the latest trends here to Indiana. The salon itself is very nice and it's in a great location. If you are searching for a great place to get your hair done, check out Lush ...and ask for Lauren!

I recently moved to Indianapolis. After appointments at other upscale salons with good reviews I came out with my thick white blond hair half fried off and having my hair a nasty yellow orange color. I searched on the internet and found LUSH THE ART OF HAIR so I made a consultation with Danita seeing about hair extensions she spent a long time explaining everything I wanted to know (decided to get them closer to the summer). I was so impressed by the time taken with me, the friendliness of everyone, and the upscale unique salon I ended up making an appointment with Lauren. She did a deep conditioning treatment, color, and cut. She was AMAZING!!! The cut she gave me was the best I've ever had which I was shocked at coming from Cali !! I've lived in the city for 4 years now but kept trekking out to the suburbs to my same old stylist...until yesterday. I took a risk and went with Lush after having heard everyone bragging about their hair color from there and after reading all the good reviews. Well now I'm adding yet another good review to the list. It was FANTASTIC! The service was quick and friendly, but best of all, my cut is perfect! I went in with a picture of what I wanted and came out looking exactly like the picture...perhaps better! I just got home and absolutely LOVE my hair cut! Jenna my stylist who is a master stylist and national educator for salons did a great job of advising me which length would look better on me and what styles would accent my facial lines better. I couldn't be more pleased with my hair cut, I got exactly what I was looking for. They're not only great, but convenient too; right next to the Bonefish Grill on 82nd Street. And the price couldn't have been better; $45 for a hair cut and style...If you're looking for a new hair cut and unsure where to go, check out Lush, I promise you won't regret it!!

I have been going to LUSH for the past 10 months and have been to 4 different stylists. Every time I get a stylist that I like it seems like they are terminated or leave. I am done. Danita does seem nice enough and I love the product line but the continual turnover of employees is very frustrating. Danita's daughter totally messed my hair up when I went to her (1/2 of my hair was 2 inches shorter than the other half). It took going to a different stylist to get it fixed. I was willing to overlook the 1 bad experience but I cannot over look the fact that good stylists come and go like a revolving door and the bad remain.

It doesn't happen on a daily basis that I take the time out of my busy schedule to write a review. That makes it this much more important to me to absolutely rave about my recent experience at Lush. In a world where quantity takes precedence over quality, cuts that belief with his shears. Hailing from NYC, I had found what I had thought to be an unforgettable stylist who gave me exactly the cut I wanted and I was convinced after countless horrible hair experiences, it would never be recaptured. I was more than wrong. From my stylist taking the time to consult with me about what I wanted and taking mental notes about everything that I said, she brought me over and started the hair cocktail. These products made me feel like I had the hair of a supermodel...not just a model...a supermodel! My hair was like silk, so weightless and alive. After sitting down with me as my cocktail melted into my hair, she rinsed and brought me back to the chair to dry and begin cutting. Her technique was insatiable. Instead of having chair shock at the butchering you just received in any other place, she cut with precision each piece and displays exactly how it will fall on your head. The benefits of her thorough education along with a god-given talent result in unforgettable care for your locks. I have now recommended friends in New York to visit Lush and have pledged my hair allegiance to never go astray. If there was a six star rating, I would have given it!!!

I've been going to Lush for over a year. I frequently change the color and style of my hair so it's important for me to have a stylist whom knows what colors work with skin tones and what styles compliment a face. The stylists I have seen at Lush are very competent. Once, when the color didn't turn out to my stylist's satisfaction, before I even had to comment on it (because it didn't work with my skin tone), my stylist took initiative and the time to correct the color to suit me and didn't charge me extra. I have never left the salon unhappy from the services I have received. My stylist would also would recommend products available outside of the salon (which of course are cheaper than what is sold in the salon) that would improve my overall hair health. I love my hair.

I've seen a lot of comments about their no-show policy and I wouldn't let this discourage you from checking out the salon, or canceling an appointment when absolutely necessary. Especially for returning clients, I can't imagine ever having issues if you have to cancel an appointment. I had to cancel an appointment due to weather because I live on the opposite side of the city. This wasn't a problem even though I canceled less 24 hours in advance. All the stylists and the owner have been friendly to me and very respectful.

The environment and style of the salon is very clean and modern, small and cozy. They also serve complimentary drinks.

I have a very delicate situation with my thin hair. Not only does it get thinner each year from genetics, but since I had my two kids, it is has gotten much worse. You can see my scalp through my hair. I honestly did not think hair extensions were the answer. But unbenounced to me, the girls at Lush evaluated my fragile situation with a fine tooth comb "literally" and devised an amazing solution for my hair type. This would allow me to wear the extensions and look great now, while not causing any damage to my own hair. I am pleased to say that I have been a client for almost a year now and my hair is perfect. I went here and it is way overrated and expensive. The color in my hair looked awful, the stylist did not listen to what I wanted. I cannot believe how much I spent there for a haircut and color. Almost $200, I have almost spent that before but I bought some product also. So I would not recommend.

Right when you walk in the door, you receive personalized service, from Danita who knows everyone by name and greets you with a friendly smile and hello, and offers you something to drink. On to any of the hairstylist who all greet you in a friendly manner. Then for a one on one consultation with any of the stylist who want to give you something that is not only current, but a style and color that fit your personality, the shape of your face, etc. We have been going to Lush for over three years and drive all the way from Greenberg just because we know we can trust them with our hair. They know our preferences, and what looks good. I recommend them to everyone. I just started a new position this week and was asked where did I get my hair done, because it was a beautiful cut. Lauren and Danita are great stylist and color experts and are very informed. They set the trends in hair fashion and the standard for all their stylist, each of which can hold their own. This salon is truly a must do for people with all hair types. They really are experts in their field and you will walk away feeling pleased and satisfied that you received a great cut by professionals who care.

I was so fortunate to be recommended to Lush when I moved here 1 1/2 years ago. Walking into Lush - makes me feel like I have entered a fashion haven. Contemporary artwork fills the white walls that surround the comfortable sofas where clients lounge with the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar and Vogue magazine. What I love the most about coming to Lush (besides knowing that I will walk out feeling and looking fabulous) is that there is no pretense - everyone there is so friendly and fun. My time always flies and, in this instance, I wish that it wouldn't. They are savvy about hair unlike anywhere else ? they know all of the runway hair trends and will tell you whether or not they will work on you. Before I had to use a mask on my hair twice a week. The color here leaves my hair so soft and healthy that I haven't used a mask since. I receive compliments on my cut and color daily and have sent a lot of people (including my fiance) - and they are all regular customers now and more stylish for it. I know all of the others in the salon, too, and I can vouch that they are all excellent. Your hair is in the best care at Lush - and now you can even take home the incredible Kerastase shampoo and conditioner!

With their snotty attitudes, poor service, and unreasonable policies, this hair salon is by far the worst one in town!! Have you ever heard of a hair salon that requires a credit card on file so they can charge it for your full service and deny your appointment for only being 10 minutes late? This one does! By the way, they don't care what the reason is. What about a hair salon that switches stylists on you without even notifying you? If you go here you'll probably go through 4+ stylists in 6 months and your lucky if they tell you before your next appointment. You probably like to have somewhat personal conversations with your stylist while getting your hair done, right? Well, if the owner is around you can forget about that. She makes it very clear that the stylists are not allowed to discuss things of a personal nature. Have you ever gotten sick of people trying to be something their not or being vindictive to others for personal gain? If you are, then join me in boycotting this salon!

I had my company corporate holiday party Saturday. It was a black tie affair, so I arranged an appointment at this salon because it was close to the hotel we were staying in for the party. I decided to wear my hair up and they did a fabulous job! My appointment began on time (which was a plus, I was on a time limit). I wanted an elegant, soft look and she did a great job at making me happy. I never felt uncomfortable or nervous, she was confident and that made me confident that I was going to have great party hair. I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. Have been going to see Danita since 1992. I will never go anywhere else... always the perfect cut... always the perfect service. If you are interested in finding the last place you'll go for a cut or color, this is the place. You won't leave... And these guys are super serious about their work. Monthly, I hear about travels to shows, conferences on new techniques. They work on TV shows, they work with models. And yet, they make every single person feel important and center stage. Most impressive... usually the person before me or after me has traveled 30+ miles for an appointment.

This is the best salon I have ever been to! I read about Lush in "In Touch Magazine". I visited the studio and was pampered, cared for and beautified. Not only did I receive professional service, I received the best haircut/color that I have ever received. Now I have been to some top-notch places before, mainly in LA that I thought were completely fabulous. Lush has taken it to a completely new level! First of all, they understand hair/face shapes and what works best with you. They also listen to you (what a new concept!) I have very fine hair that has been deemed as "dry clean only" by several stylists. It takes someone special to handle this mane, so I refuse to go to less than the best. They were so professional, easy to talk to, and well dressed to boot. When my hair cut was complete, the even re-touched my makeup. I also got a hand massage. Both awesome extras that do not occur very often! Now I'm not saying that this comes without a price, but I am definitely labeling this experience as money well spent!

I have been in Indianapolis for 6 years and I have finally a stylist I can stick with. I have been to other salons and they were acceptable, but I was always somewhat dissatisfied, I'm very particular. I especially needed someone who is good at cutting my hair short, but also long. Basically, I wanted someone who is truly talented. Well, I've finally met Misty, and she is fantastic. The first time in a long time I wasn't compelled to take scissors to my hair AFTER my haircut. She really listened to what I wanted and made great suggestions as to how that would and wouldn't work with my hair type. Exactly what I needed. I also have issues with my hair holding color, and she really took the time and some extra steps to make my color take. Overall, very good service and a very reasonable value.

New to the area I heard great things from my friends at work about this salon. The day I called and made an appointment I wasn?t particular about who I went to, so the receptionist gave me to a stylist named Alexis. When I got to the salon not only was I impressed by the salon itself but Alexis was amazing. I am a blonde, and have been for my whole life, but never has any stylist achieved the amazing color she did. She was great! After the service I found out blondes were her specialty, apparently! So I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Alexis for any blondes who want amazing natural beautiful highlights/color! I am sure she is great with every color though, she was sweet and funny, and I myself have found a stylist I will return to, and I am a very satisfied customer of Lush Salon.

I moved to Indy after growing up in So. California & Scottsdale Az . I regualary visited a top salon when I lived in both states . My stylist was a complete professional and master colorist when it came to blonde highlights . She performed treatments on my hair that kept it very healthy & strong . After hearing about LUSH on the web , I made an appt . I thought it to be very odd that they required my personal credit card number to keep on file . That was the first red flag about the manner in which they do business . Upon arrival , I found the attitude in the salon to be very pretentious . The 1st stylist I saw was great . Unfortuanately when I called to make a 2nd appt a few weeks later , I was informed she was no longer employed there & they would not give me a forwarding number . So I was given to another stylist who pulled on my hair very hard that it was sore for the next few days . She was very shaky so I wondered how much experience she had . While in the shampoo bowl , she applied a toner that burned my scalp . When dried , my color was very splotchy. I called the next day when I noticed broken chunks of hair all over my head & was told to come in and talk to the owner . When I arrived , she was very short & told me to take a seat until she was available . Then I recieved dirty looks, namely from the stylist that had done my hair . When the owner was finally ready for me , she was very curt . She told me that she could do a conditioning treatment on me . My hair reached the middle of my back & I always took excellent care of it with products, vitamins , and limited heat styling . I always recieved compliments on how shiny & healthy my hair was . When she realized I would not be returning , she told me they couldnt keep me blonde due to the condition my hair was in. (thanks to them ) I was offered no apology & no refund . I would not recommend this salon ,not only due to the damage my hair sustained , but they do not display good customer service .

My hair has been long all my life, and never had anything done to it except washing at home. A few of my friends told me I needed to do something, and told me about Lush salon. They listened to my insecurities, and my insistence on "booby security", and asked what my natural color was, and what I saw myself as wanting. They made it so easy to do what I had feared all my life. Transforming this "mousey hippie chick" into a luscious blonde that turns heads and earns such compliments, it makes me blush! Seriously! Tonight my neighbor just went on and on gushing about how pretty my hair looked, "Write down that color, because that is the best you've ever looked. Not only is my hair actually fabulous, still long and highlighted perfectly, but all my insecurities vanish and I feel like one of the most beautiful women in the world. Now THAT is what every woman should hope to receive from her stylist.

I hadn't gone to a salon in probably about 8 years so my hair was extremely long and in desperate need of a cut and style. I researched Lush Salon online and thought I would give it a try and wish for the best. When I went I was a bit nervous because I didn't want some funky cut that was going to take forever to grow out leaving me to look like an escaped mental patient. So I specifically made an appointment with Lauren because she seemed to be very popular and had curly hair like mine so I figured she would be the best fit. SHE DID AN AWESOME JOB! I couldn't believe how great the cut was and how revived my hair looked when she was done. I love the style and I loved how professional and extremely skilled she was. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made me feel comfortable about the style she was giving me. I would recommend her to anyone (my sister-in-law plans on going to see her too!) and I will continue to go to her as my stylist. The Shampoo girl was great too. Awesome head massage!! The whole salon was a great experience.

The customer service was the worst I have EVER received! I have been to LUSH twice, and I will not go back, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. I went to LUSH after reading the reviews and feeling like I would be in good hands. The first time I went I got a decent haircut, but despite the nice look of the salon I was not in love with the pretentious vibe the owner was giving off. I went back only because I really liked the stylist I went to - Alexis. In fact, I hope she shows up at a different salon someday.

On my second trip back I was supposed to have color done by Alexis. When I arrived I was told someone else would do it; I agreed to this. I explained exactly what I wanted - slightly darker, semi-permanent hair color, to try out a darker look. We agreed on a game plan and went forward. When my hair was dry it was exactly the same color as when I walked in - only more shiny. I explained that this is not what I wanted, and the stylist told me to think about it and call her if I wanted to do something different, because she wanted me to be happy.

When I called back to explain that I was very unhappy to have paid $95 for something that my own husband could not even tell I had done, the owner acted like this was my fault! She told me that I requested the wrong service, that this was not the stylist's fault , and that she would do nothing for me. I am still in a state of shock - I can't think of any other business owner who would be SO rude and unhelpful to her customers. Spend your money someplace else ladies!!!

The staff is kind and attentive. The color is beautiful, and the compliments keep coming. I've been searching for a salon like this for years, and decided on this one after reading these reviews. Their policies are clearly stated-no hidden surprises. As I waited for my appointment, I noticed the other clients who were finished- and each and every one looked great. So, no worries!

After having lived here for over five years and searching for a good hair salon, I have finally found the one I will stay at as long as they'll have me! I moved here from California and was used to a certain kind of treatment as well as great hair service, but after moving here I have gone from salon to salon - not to mention some pretty pricey ones, but they all fell short on either their service or their skill. When I came into Lush, I was welcomed right away; they asked me if I wanted anything to drink; and the girl who did my hair was right on time! They made me look and feel like gorgeous. I am so happy to have found someone so close that does such an astounding job on my hair. I'm one of those clients who is really picky about my hair, but I have found the right stylist who does my hair perfectly. I won't mention her name, because I want her all to myself! But I highly recommend the salon as a whole. A bunch of very nice people - very attentive.

I went to Lush Salon because of their rating in Indianapolis Monthly Magazine. Personally, I would give a grade of C- to the haircut itself, F to the conditioning treatment, F to the style and F for professionalism and customer service because of the attempts to make more money off the customer. First of all they require a credit card to make an appointment and a 24 hour cancellation notice or they charge full price, even if you are sick!!! Who do they think they are! My stylist who I guess I cannot name, who was nice, but immediately suggested a conditioning treatment. I never imagined it would be $35.00! I noticed no difference in my hair. Also, while doing the conditioning treatment Lauren pulled my hair and dug into my scalp with her nails. Next when styling my hair she continued to pull and tug painfully at my scalp and hair. Then she burned my face with the hairdryer. Tears welled up in my eyes.
Finally, I thought I had explained to her that I hate the stick straight flat ironed look. Of course, that's exactly how she styled my hair. I felt like I needed to go home and restyle it myself. D L Lowery Salon and even Fantasic Sams style hair much better. As I was leaving she immediately went and started making me another appointment, without even asking me! I have never had a stylist do this! Also, I was told that they give no refunds on products, even unopened ones, and no refunds for any service!! So, if you get a terrible perm or haircut, you are just out of luck. I would never return to this money grubbing salon. On their website they claim that they are extremely busy and this is why they charge for services if you don't cancel within 24 hours. I called Thursday night to make an appointment . They had openings for the following Friday night and several on Saturday afternoon. They are obviously not that busy. This is probably because of their high prices and lack of professionalism. They certainly lost me as a customer.

When I first came to Lush two years ago, I had just had my hair burned with color and then a bad cut, which left me with a very short, blunt, bob style that I hated. I was very upset with the short, boring, plain Jane style so I decided to get hair extensions. I haven't gone a day without hair extensions since. Thanks to all the Stylists at Lush I have grown out my hair and learned how to effectively style it myself, which makes my hair look completely natural. The best part is that nobody ever even suspects it's not all my own hair, thanks to the styling tips they showed me! These girls are the best, and I am so grateful for their skills. I know that I always get the best quality products used on me, and the most knowledgeable service. They do hair extensions all day every day and I would recommend them to anyone, who is considering them.

I cannot say enough about this place, I stumbled on it when I first came to Indianapolis and it has been one of my best finds in this city. Normally I would rather pick a new dentist than a hairstylist, but this place changed me. I can sit down in my chair and relax. I actually can enjoy the whole experience. I have to mention Alexis who is personally responsible for my look, I get a lot of compliments on both the colour and the cut. She has a great eye for colour and always gets me the right cut for my face, hair type, and current trends. I welcome her suggestions and pretty much kick back and let the magic happen. Everybody I have encountered from the front counter to the shampoo bowl is absolutely wonderful top notch and very professional. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

Hair Color Salon is the best! It was recommended by a workmate, and I thought "here we go again". Was I thrilled with my cut and color!! I've stayed with this salon about 3 years. The staff is so friendly, and there is never any pressure. What I like about Danita is that she helps me pick a new style whenever I got tired of the old one; she worked with my ideas and never forced her own. I always had many compliments from co-workers and friends. Several times people stopped me on the street in my neighborhood to ask me where I get my hair done. Only a few times, when out of town, have I gone to another salon. It was always disappointing. I'm spoiled!! I love my hair cut, color, and that young, stylish feeling.

I was a customer of Lush for about 10 months. In that time I had three different stylists. This is because the stylist I had had either left or was terminated. On one of these occasions no one even called me. I showed up for my appointment and was told that I had another stylist. This salon requires you to reserve your appointment with a credit card, because they are in "such demand" that they will bill you if you don't give 24 hours notice. This policy was not a huge deal for me because I rarely cancel an appt. I bring this up becuase of an experience that a friend of mine had, whom I refered to the salon. She was very ill and vomitting the morning of her appointment. Becuase of the policy she went. She asked her stylist if she could just cut her hair today and she'll come back for the color. After asking the owner, it was determined that she could not. She had to sit through the two hours of cut and color SICK or she would be billed for it. She chose to sit through it.

While browsing thru a magazine here in Indianapolis, I read an article on Danita White and her specialty in working with women with thinning hair. I was somewhat skeptical, but I made an appointment to see what could be done. WOW! I had long blond hair (colored) which I wore up all the time in an attempt to conceal the thinness. I literally put my fate in her hands and allowed her to do whatever she thought would be best for me. She cut my hair and donated it to Locks for Love, which thrilled me! She took me back to my original color (light brown) and gave me a short sassy style which does indeed help minimize the thin appearance. She also introduced me to new products which actually help the hair grow back. They are easy to use and I am sure I will see positive results soon. Danita and her entire staff made me feel welcome and it was a great first time experience! I highly recommend her for anyone with thinning hair. You will walk out with a new attitude!! I am booking my next appointment now and can't wait!! By the way......I got tons of compliments....many saying how much younger I look!! Thanks !!!

Lush Salon is a great place to be if you want to feel like one of a kind. I have tried every stylist there and they all make me feel unique and special. Even when I am in a rush they manage to accommodate me. I get compliments on my hair color all the time and I have been coloring it for years, but until I went to Lush it never looked natural. I get my hair cut by any of the stylists available, they are all so good that I never have to worry about who I get. You feel like a celebrity when you have more than one stylist working on your hair. It's a great way to treat your self without feeling overwhelmed by prices.

I have spent years looking in Indianapolis and Carmel for a good stylist, going from very trendy, to the expensive, to very hip places. My theory is that they try to gain you as a customer the first time around, and then after that they just try to do the bare minimum. All were over priced for what I got. I was starting to get a complex that it was me who was being too picky. However, in my never ending quest for stylist, I found the reviews here in citysearch a couple of years ago, and have been going to Lush ever since. They can cut, color and style my hair in no time, and it always looks amazing and beautiful. They have totally changed the way I feel about my hair (now I love it). The salon feels comfortable and completely lacking in pretension or haughtiness, one of the hallmarks of a LOT of Indiana stylists, while at the same time the salon is charming and well designed. They could teach the entire industry many things about how high to aim when it comes to hair and customer service. You will not be disappointed.

I have never been to Lush. I know nothing about their service, skills, capabilities etc. This is not a review to explain my experience. I've read many reviews concerning their cancellation/late policies and charging for services not rendered. What person in their right mind would pay for a service not received, whether you were late or not? How are they obtaining payment from customers for services not rendered if you do not show up? Are they requesting credit card #'s prior to your arrival for service? If so, as a consumer SAY NO!!!! I'm surprised this salon has remaining customers with such an obnoxious policy. If they are charging your credit card without your approval, they are committing credit card fraud and can be criminally charged as such! Maybe I am unaware of some information that would shed light on the subject as to how a co. could get away with such atrocious business practices, but please...........tell me what I don't know.

I had my hair colored here and it is so soft and healthy! The color is amazing! I am very impressed! Alexis was so warm and friendly. She also took the time to show me the right products to use and how to style my hair at home. I LOVE the Kerastase products ! This was a fabulous experience. I felt very pampered. I was highly recommended by a family member to Lush Salon. I've been to many different stylist but never as satisfied as I am now. I had an appointment for a hair consultation for the Japanese Hair Straightening, At first I was a little nervous considering my hair is very important to me. They made me feel really comfortable. Before I did the straightening my hair was thick and frizzy when it dried, I would always wear it up in a bun. Now it's beautiful and I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only is it straight and shiny, but it looks natural as well. It's very easy to manage and style now. NO MORE FRIZZZZZ I've finally found my hair stylist. Thanks.

Lauren is a great hair stylist because of her dedication to work with you to get the right color you want and getting it done. Her patience shines through and her ability to make you feel comfortable is what makes you feel at ease knowing that she knows what she is doing. She takes every effort to make sure you are satisfied with your hair no matter what. If you're not happy, she is always willing to suggest something new and/or try something else.

I found this salon through City Search and was very happy with my experience there. I walked in to the salon with a big lifeless hair. My stylist was Lauren, she was tall, beautiful, and had wonderful hair. I was not to sure what I wanted, but she took her time taking with me about what we would do with my hair. She took in to consideration things like, my face shape, skin tone, how long do I spend styling my hair in the morning, my profession, how often I wash it and etc. We had great conversation and the whole Lush Salon staff was wonderful. I thought Lauren and the rest of salon staff were very educated, professional and fun. If your one of those boring uptight people I would suggest you go else where. In the end my color was wonderful and cut really complimented my face shape. I went from big lifeless hair to beautiful commercial hair. I was almost shocked when I saw the finished hair style; I never looked that great before. If anyone is looking for new fun stylist I would highly recommend Lush.

I feel like I have been searching for a salon like this for forever. My cut and color are AMAZING!!!!!! The highlights were right on...the perfect shade of blonde that I asked for. The colorist really took the time to talk to me about what I wanted with my hair. She really made me feel at ease. ( i was a little nervous too, since the last highlights I got, from an unnamed salon, turned out orange). I loved my haircut too. The stylist completely got the look I wanted (long layers) and gave me the best blowout I have ever had. This place is definitely worth checking out. There was none of that elitist attitude that you expect to get in many salons. Thanks guys, I'll be back.

I started going to Lush about a year ago. My first stylist was great. She took her time and gave a great cut. I gladly rescheduled with her. I received a call a few weeks later that the stylist had left the salon, and if I would like, they would reschedule me with another stylist, which I did. A couple days before that appointment, I got another call saying that this stylist had also left the salon to pursue a different career. Okay, so I schedule with another stylist, Kylie. I went to Kylie probably 4 times in all and was happy with her and planned to continue with her. Two weeks ago, I got another call...yes, Kylie had moved to Ohio. Although my experience with haircuts was good there, the appointments/stylists were not dependable. The receptionist was always accomodating and promptly offered a beverage. However, I think after being shuffled around between stylists, I'm ready to try a new place.

RECEPTION: Once you walk in, the stylists smile at you and receptionist welcomes you with a great attitude. Unlike the other salons, you just need to wait for a few minutes to be guided to your chair. CONSULTATION: Although I did not have a particular style in mind that day, my stylist explained the style she suggests in a few seconds. I have been to some salons who actually sit with me for a while and flit through the magazines until I come across with the descent one. As a procedure I think it is nice as well but I feel the experienced one always suggests his/her vision pretty in a second or so. SHAMPOOING: Heaven! I felt so good especially when some scalp massage came. There was no shampoo & water dripping on my forehead and literally it was such a heaven. I really didn't want it to be over. CUT: My stylist turned it into a nice bob-like cut which is quite close to the one I kept having when I was in New York. I loved it. STYLING: This is what I count on most. When you walk away from the salon, it usually looks fine thanks to the talented styling. But once you wash your hair, it never comes back. Here, you can almost recreate the style with out too much effort. I usually like to see how the stylists style my hair; it helps me when I style my hair by myself. OVERALL: I admit this salon is well worth the money!

After reading the good reviews on Lush, I decided to try it. I've been to several well known salons in Indy. After making my first appt I received a call to reschedule it. Then I finally got there. Kylie was good at the color and cut. However, there wasn't any services to make it special. It was like a mall salon visit. Then I purchased some Kenra hair products. The price was outrageous. An hour later I tried to return it with the receipt and still packaged. They refused to refund it, but would give me a salon credit. I kept it, but I've seen nicer results at a third of the price. Then I had scheduled my second appt with Kylie and received a call she is gone. I finally called in to make another appt and was told "I'm with a client, but will call you back in 5 minutes". 48 hours later I made appt at another salon, which was a disappointment also. Guess I'll have to go back to the big league salons.

I've been going to Lush Salon for over 3 years. I get my color and cut there. To date, I?ve recommended over 12 people to this salon with my common suggestion: "Doesn?t really matter who you go to....they are all fabulous" The salon offers an inviting upbeat atmosphere & the staff is friendly, fun & highly skilled. The location is fabulous. The products they sell (which include Kerastase) are the best. It?s no wonder this salon is among the top ten in Indiana if not the country. Lush Salon is #1 on my list. To the review regarding Kylie who was my stylist before Lauren I heard she moved back to Cincinnati, Ohio.

My experience wasn't great, but wasn't terrible. The atmosphere was nice, a little more pretentious that I would have expected, but they did seem to know what they were doing. Other than my color being a little off, eveything was fine. The overall experience really wasn't significant enough, one way or the other, to warrant writing a review except for two things (both of which deal with the numerous reviews I read prior making my appointment). First - Several of the negative comments had to deal with late arrivals and the lack of flexibility in scheduling and/or being charged fully and denied full service. I find that a little hippocritical being that I had to wait on my stylist for over 25 minutes past my appointment time with no mention of a discounts. Second - I'm wondering if the review from "jp1981indy" is the same JP in the front, responsible for my wash and massage (actually the highlight of the evening - nice work JP)? If so, perhaps the management should read rule three of the "User Review Guidelines" before asking their employees to write reviews.

After the never-ending winter, I found myself in desperate need of a new hair cut and color for the spring. Having been to what seemed like every stylist in Indianapolis, I was referred to Lush by a close friend. I must say, I was beyond impressed. The salon itself was enough to make me go back- with a highend atmosphere, complimentary wine and some great music you truly leave relaxed. But what was even more impressive, was the fact that for the first time in years I felt my stylist knew what she was doing. She gave me exactly what I was looking for: something edgy, yet able to wear to work, and easy enough to style at home on a daily basis. She also gave me color that was lively, and beautiful - perfect for the new spring season. In addition, I took home some of Kerastase products from there color retention line, and have been very happy with the results. All for far less than I reluctantly paid at some of the over-hyped (and EMPTY) Carmel and Fishers salons. I'd recommend this salon and products to anyone!

I can honestly say that I will never recommend nor go back to LUSH again. I moved to Indy a year ago from CA and found LUSH online. After reading reviews I was hopeful that it would measure up to the standards I had come to expect from nice salons that charge nearly $150 for a cut and color, but was disappointed. In the 11 months that I was a client there, I went through three different stylists.....not by choice. Twice I showed up for appointments and the stylists were no longer working there and no one had bothered to call me to let me know (or ask if I wanted to reschedule with someone else.) They just pawned me off on whoever was available in the shop at the moment and of course I was willing to take a risk because I didn't want to wait another 3 weeks to get an appointment. My 3rd stylist was Kylie, and I was satisfied with her, but lo and behold I got a call last week that she was no longer with the salon so I would need to reschedule with someone else. (Funny that someone else posted on here that they knew she was gone on June 22nd yet I didn't get a call until a few days before my appointment.) For me that was the last straw. It is a very poor reflection on a business that either it cannot retain it's employees, or has made mistakes in hiring. There are good things about this salon - as most others stated the people at the front desk are VERY nice, and from observing others getting extensions they did a great job. But many of the stylists seemed extremely full of themselves and I witnessed an instance where one in particular was downright rude to another stylist and belittled her in front of me and another client. That is unbelievably unprofessional and uncalled for and it's unfortunate that it was done in front of clients. Obviously I am in the minority and many people have had great experiences there, but having gone to salons in California where they know how to treat clients, LUSH is not anywhere even close to the same league.

I too used to go to Kylie and was hesitant to try anyone else. Was I surprised and relieved when I was scheduled for my cut and color last week with Lauren. I have found my new hairstylist! She took the time to look at pictures that I brought in and spent more time talking with me than anyone has before. By the end of our consultation I no longer felt nervous. Lauren made me feel at ease and even took the time during the cut to explain what she was doing and why she was doing it. No one has ever done that for me! She even corrected what I thought was a good cut by Kylie. She saved my hair today and ended my anxiety for a new stylist. My hair looks absolutely amazing, (I've already received compliments!), and thanks to her advice I can even style it, (almost), like a pro! THANKS LAUREN!!!

I recently relocated to the area, and was overwhelmed with all of the choices of salons. My last colorist (who had done my hair for about 15 years) recommended me to Lush Salon. I made my appointment without knowing who I was going to get. Well, as I am certain all of the colorists at this salon are great, I think that I got the cream of the crop. Lauren, the colorist that did my hair was so thorough and personable during my consultation. I absolutely LOVE my color, and would highly recommend anyone thinking about changing colorist's or thinking about getting highlights or trying a new color to go to her. I was reading someone's previous review and laughed at the fact that someone chased her down to ask her who cut her hair, well in 1 day I was approached by two different women who asked me where and who did my color. I opened my cell phone, gave them the number to the salon and told them to ask for Lauren.

Amanda has been doing my hair for the past year, as well as my husband's hair and kids. I just recently had her put extensions in my hair. I love them. They look so natural. No one can tell where my own hair ends and where the extensions start. I never thought I would want extensions because I feel that they look fake. Amanda convinced me to get them for my sisters wedding and I agreed with the intention to take them out as soon as the day was over. I received so many complements that I decided to leave them in. I now get compliments on my hair everywhere I go. I can't imagine going back!

I actually followed my stylist here when she came on with the staff. She originally worked at a larger salon/spa where the service was great, but the professionalism was hard to get. I love the small business feel and the warm response you get from the stylists when you walk in. Ambiance and inter-communication skills aside, these people know hair. They are a real team that work together to make sure you walk out with exactly the haircut/color you walked in wanting, and I always end up having to go out on the town and party the night I get my hair done here to show off my hair- and of course I receive compliments left and right.

I visited Lush after having read over 90 good reviews of the salon on Citysearch. I was previously a DL Lowery customer for years, but was really looking for a less pretentious salon where I would be treated with more personal attention, and where I could feel more comfortable, as I am not a fashion model, but a thirty-something mother of 3 who just wants to look her best while juggling a busy life. I was so impressed immediately by the warmth shown to me the moment I walked in the door-Amanda the receptionist is wonderful! So polite and helpful. Kylie cut my hair, and I must say she is a genius!! She actually listens to you and genuinely cares about pleasing the customer. I had quite long hair and wanted it cut much shorter-she consulted with me about what I wanted & then proceeded to give me the best haircut I have ever received! My hair is much more manageable now, and always looks great-I get a lot of compliments every day. The salon is upscale, but not pretentious in any way. I was very impressed with the look of the salon as well as the atmosphere-I finally found a first rate salon where my hair will receive the best of care while I am treated with the friendly personal attention I have never found at previous salons- they all pale in comparison to Lush?s wonderful group of caring professionals!! I have found my salon and I have no reason to go anywhere else!

Amanda has been cutting/styling/coloring my hair for almost a year now and I can't stop raving about her. She is not only a master stylist at the salon but is warm, understands what I want and always delivers! I love how before she starts any service, she always asks what style I am thinking about and we go over what would work for my face and what won't. I always go back to her not only because she's a great stylist but I always leave feeling great about myself and my hair! I enjoy the peaceful and comforting atmosphere of Lush and the great team of stylists!! One more thing, her head massages during the hair washing is the most AMAZING experience ever. Those fingers do the most fabulous things to the scalp! It's the most utterly relaxing feeling!

Like some of the people who posted before me, I was depressed when I lost a hairdresser after he decided to close his business. After some recommendations from people, I stumbled upon this website and decided to try out the salon because of the great reviews. Well, I just came back from Lush, and I couldn't be any happier than I am right now with the cut they gave me. I brought in pictures of the style I wanted, and we went over each one carefully. She explained to me that the haircut length was a little too short for my face shape, and by adding a couple of inches to the style I would look much better. Let me just say: she was right! I couldn't have dreamed up a better haircut if I tried. I've gotten so many compliments today, and that let's me know that this might be the best 60 bucks I've ever spent. On top of her haircutting abilities she is sweet, talkative, and REALLY funny. On top of all of this, she did not even pressure me to buy any of the products that the salon had on display. You have to try this salon, you will not be sorry.

I wanted to warn people about the "hidden costs" at this salon. I had a 15 min root touch up and was charged $100! When I asked what the price was for various services the answer was always "the price starts at..." instead of letting you know exactly what it will cost for your hair, especially when they can see the length etc. of your hair when you are standing in the salon.

I was especially ticked when I got home and found that my roots were not even fully covered!

Also - don't cancel or be late. The salon will charge you full price!

Today I went for my hair appointment and was told that my 12 year old daughter could not sit in the Salon to watch my get my hair highlighted! She was SO excited about the salon and was upset that they asked her to leave. They said that they do not allow children to wait in the waiting area. When I asked how old you had to be to sit in their waiting room and they said "it is more of a space issue", so apparently no one can wait unless they have a hair appointment. There was plenty of room with no more than 1 person waiting at any time.

My options were 1) Drive my daughter home immediately and come back which would be approx. 1 hour roundtrip 2) Have her sit in the car on a hot day on a June day and wait for me 3) Leave with no service and be charged FULL price for my 3 hour time slot!

How ridiculous! I have never been treated by any salon this way and would definitely NOT RECOMMEND LUSH salon to anyone. It is way overpriced and has rude, unprofessional customer service policies. I definitely won't be back and will make sure that I spread the word so that other people don't have to experience this!

This hair salon is the worst I have ever been to. I called on my way there to let them know that I would be 10 minutes late. Already then (before I was late) I was told that the full service could not be provided. I still thought it would work out but indeed after coloring my hair I was told that I could not get my hair cut and no effort was made to work something out. When it came to paying I was charged the FULL PRICE for HALF SERVICE.
Not to recommend at all.

She's a fantastic stylist, a GREAT conversationalist, and a spunky dynamo! I've got thin/fine hard to handle hair, and she gave me a new style that I love and can replicate on my own. The entire staff was friendly, the atmosphere was very comfortable and best of all, I walked out feeling like a million bucks. She gets a big hooya from me!

Lush Salon is so stylish, upbeat, clean, friendly, and beyond courteous. Besides being THE BEST hairdressers in the mid-west, they are accomodating to almost any schedule. The working woman has no excuse! I used to be a salon owner years ago in New Orleans, La. and I can tell you from experience, this salon goes to the Max to treat their clients special in every aspect. ** WORST ** MEN's HAIRCUT I EVER RECEIVED!!! During the trim, I'm told "I hope you like short hair." My hair was chopped off literally down to the scalp with one swipe of the scissors. When I got home I felt like I was wearing half a mohawk. AVOID Amanda!! Also, after my daughters haircut it was so uneven in the back that I needed to take her back and have it redone. Once again, AVOID Amanda!!

Most of the staff is "very" young and courteous. They seem to be trying to do the right thing in hair care.

I won't be going back!! Ever.

After I made the decision to get extensions, I really did my homework before I chose this salon. One of my good friends has Great Lengths and her hair is amazing! I really thought about going to her girl who was in LA. but after I found Lush and met with them to discuss everything, I knew I had found the place. I was a little nervous going in and they answered my million questions and I left feeling that I had made a good choice. I travel a ton and only had a 3 day window to get it done. Lush ordered the hair and scheduled my appointment when I needed it. The time flew by! We watched a movie and the manager even ordered take-out for lunch. We were done with everything in less then 5 hours including color, wash, extensions, a cut and style. They did an amazing job, I love my new hair. I spend a lot of time in front of TV cameras and everyone loved my hair as well. I highly recommend Lush they are all extremely talented artists who love what they do. Not only did I find my new permanent stylist, I made a friend.

After reading the reviews here, I decided to try Lush and I was amazed -- every positive review written here is 100% true! I have long, dark, curly hair which I frequently blow-dry straight, and I went to Lush for a cut and new highlights. They listened to what I wanted and gave me amazing auburn and caramel highlights that work great with my hair. They explained how my last stylist went overboard with too-blonde highlights that left me with messy roots and worked for over THREE HOURS on my hair to make the color rich and even. I was thrilled with the final result and my hair looks 10 times better than it ever has. I loved, loved, loved the final results and yes, it was pricey, but no more than I have paid at other salons where I was less than pleased. Lush is unpretentious and the stylists gave me great hair advice without pushing extra products and techniques that don't work for me. They even threw in a complimentary conditioning treatment because there was a short wait between my color and cut. This is my new salon -- I don't think I will venture anywhere else! I highly recommend that you try it!!!!

I always look forward to my appointments at Lush the Art of Hair...from the time you walk in until the time you are leaving, you feel somewhat like a celebrity or at the very least, an extremely important client. Besides the friendly service and great attention, every staff member is experienced and at the top of their game. My experience has specifically been with Sheila (haircut) and Amanda (color)...both are masters at their trade and take great pride and passion in their work. They give honest and constructive input about your hair and make you feel like you are in the hands of experts. I always leave happy with my hair and feeling great. I have noticed looking around at the other clients in the salon...they are also having fun and seem happy with their service. They also carry top of the line products such as Kerastase. I can highly recommend this salon because I have tried many newly opened salons in Carmel and Fishers with many disappointments but Lush never lets me down!

this is the most upscale salon indiana has to offer, the staff is friendly, down to earth, and the customer service is impeccable. it is a small cozy salon that covers all hair needs, and the staff works together as a well oiled machine, focusing on YOU during the time that you are there, from the moment you enter the salon, you are greeted with a smile, the stylists are very much into their craft, but words dont do them justice, go in and observe, they are by far the most educated and talented hairdressers this town has to offer. but dont take my word for it, go in and check it out, cold wine and foamy cappuccinos, are served while you wait, lunch is ordered if you are going to be there for a few hours and wireless internet access. this is really the best salon in town, hands down, go danita, go sheila, you guys love what you do and it shows, i will never get my hair done anywhere else as long as i live in town.

Honestly, I couldnt believe how fantastic my hair looked after I had it cut and dried! I have been cursed with the worlds straightest hair that wont do anything, but the stylist i had worked wonders. And to top it all off she took me through the styling process, step by step, and told me what products i should use and how i can do my own styling at home. i have never had a hair cut that i actually liked, but i left the salon completely happy! and ever since then i've noticed my hair behaves much better and is easier for me to style. I am definitely going to attend one of their "do it yourself" workshops! I want to learn all the tips!!

My experience at Lush was the best I have had in a salon since I moved to Indy 10 years ago. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The stylists are knowledgeable about the newest styles and the atmosphere is always upbeat and fun. They also have Kerastase products which I haven't found anywhere else! I was greeted as soon as I entered the door and offered something to drink. Then as soon as I sat in the stylists chair I felt right at ease. We discussed my lifestyle and what hair best suits me. The cut and color was just fabulous. I highly recommend this salon. It was a little more money than I am use to paying but the services and professionalism were worth every penny. I give them ten thumbs up!!!!

I am ultra picky about my hair. I had this wonderful stylist in New York who I trusted completely and then went through several not-so-great stylists in Hawaii... so when I moved here, I was very scared about finding someone good. I found Lush on Citysearch and when I saw that they sold Kerastase I decided to try them out. I got set up with Amanda and she was amazing. She started out with a Kerastase treatment ( WOW!!) and then did the most beautiful highlights I think I have ever had. She then walked me through my new Kerastase regimen and even followed up with a phone call a few days later. Lush will definitely be my salon of choice. Great products and best of all, the price was fantastically cheaper than what I am used to paying. I've already made plans to return and recommend them to anyone else wanting great hair.

I have been looking for a stylist in this area for 2 years. I've tried several salons in Carmel, but to no avail. Hence, I was trekking once per month to Chicago (3 hrs one way) to visit my stylist there. I was pleasantly surprised by the work Kylie performed. I took her a picture of both the cut and color that I wanted. She matched my new style and color exactly to those photos. This was a rare occasion! My new style is really short. So, for short cuts--Kylie is your woman!! She did not try to slam products down my throat but left the decision entirely up to me. Although, I did decide to take one color-enhancing conditioner out of need and not force. Oh and the complimentary scalp massage was great. It was so invigorating! I'll be visiting Lush next month...so long Chicago...Hello Nirvana!

I've spent a fortune on my hair in this city -- my husband calls me a "hair-aholic -- and I was pleasantly surprised to finally find someone that "gets it." Sheila did a better job on my hair than I have experienced at some of Indy?s so-called "top salons" where I usually get the cookie-cutter treatment. As others have stated, she truly has an eye for finding the right color. When I met Sheila, she asked me what I did for a living and if I wanted low maintenance color. She knew exactly what I wanted and EXCEEDED my expectations. We had a great conversation. It was if I had been going to see her for 5 years. My cut and color is exactly what I wanted. She made sure I was happy with the bangs (they grow like weeds) and she took me outside so I could see my color in natural light. I was blown away with the personal service I received. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an expert color and cut. I am so relieved that I found someone in Indy to do my hair. I had compliments on my hair for the first time in ages! Amanda is my absolute "hair savior"! I found Lush after searching this website, and I feel extremely fortunate to have found this salon. When I was first presented to Amanda, I had over processed, permed, straw-like hair that was actually three different colors. My hair was falling out and breaking off in clumps. Needless to say, I realized any new stylist I went to was going to have quite a challenge restoring my hair back to a healthy state. When I first sat in her chair and she started analyzing my hair, I was completely amazed at her vast knowledge base. She was able to explain to me in great detail how and why my hair was in the shape it was in, and exactly what we needed to do to fix it. She did not give me any unrealistic expectations, and explained to me more than once that restoring my hair to a healthy state would be a work in progress for quite some time. I have been to numerous salons in the Indianapolis area, and I have never met another stylist who possesses the same impressive background, knowledge, skills, and expertise that she has. I have been going to her since November of 06, 6 visits total, and my hair is growing back with a beautiful, lustrous sheen. My hair is now my normal dark brown color with beautiful, fine highlights, and I have received numerous compliments regarding the transformation. What has amazed me the most is how they were able to achieve these results without using any harsh chemicals that would further damage my hair. Also, her cuts are absolutely perfect and precise. The cancellation policy is the same here as any salon in town and benefits me when no-shows allow me to come in early for an appointment from the waiting list. I have always found the entire staff to be very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this salon.

I found Lush on Citysearch and have since visited twice. Both times have been excellent experiences; the first time, my stylist fixed my half-grown-out very blond highlights with a combination of highlights and lowlights that made it look beautiful and natural. The more recent time, she tried something different, and did such a bang-up job that my boyfriend called it the best "haircut" I've ever gotten!:) I love this place - it's small and very personal while stylish/trendy. I'd recommend it to anyone.

This salon was recommended to me by a friend, but I would NOT recommend it. My stylist, a young brunette, acted as if she were "too good" to cut my hair, and paid little attention to myself and my requests. She proceeded to talk to another stylist during my entire visit and I felt extremely unwelcome. The receptionist was extremely kind, although unfortunately was not the one doing my hair. I might go back if set up with a different stylist.

I was very impressed with my entire experience! I was able to get in on fairly short notice before the holidays (on a Monday, when they are not usually open, big plus that they extend their hours around the holidays when it is hard to make appointments). But best of all was what they did with my hair. The color is wonderful and the cut is even better (if that's possible). I didn't have a good idea of what I wanted when I came in, but they quickly suggested something great. I didn't know my hair could look so good. I came out looking and feeling beautiful. And it still looks great the next day when I styled it, which is the true test. I would recommend Lush to anyone. also the complimentary valet parking was a true blessing; never experienced that a salon before!

I would like to forewarn any potential and current Lush customers of this agency's unacceptable policy to charge customers in full, even if they are 15 minutes late. I understand that this is their livelihood, but it is unacceptable to not at least agree to conduct part of the scheduled service (i.e., cut if no time for a cut and color) if they plan to charge in full. I will not be providing any further business to this agency, and will ensure that I recommend against friends or family providing business to this agency as well. It's particularly frustrating that this is their policy, since my STYLIST was running late to my appt during my first, and only appt, with the salon.

Might be the friendliest upscale salon in Indianapolis. Everyone here smiles and seems to love working together and my hair was great. When I was in for a cut and highlight, there were some local business VIPs getting services and the staff gives everyone the same VIP treatment but without any kind of stuck up attitude. Great combination of customer service, style and skill and the cost was more than reasonable when compared to other top salons.

My sister recently got her hair cut and colored at Lush salon. After following the salons instructions of not washing her hair but a few times a week, literally twice, the coloring came out. And it was not a cheap experience - $165. They called to follow up on her first visit and she mentioned the coloring problems. The guy who called then got defensive and suggested she didn't know how to care for her hair and told her she had to use their products to keep this from happening - something that was not mentioned when she was in the salon. Prior to leaving the salon (before she is unhappy), they schedule her next appointment. BUT because of the above phone conversation and that she was not happy, she called and canceled it. Then the day of the appt (that she canceled), LUSH called to inform her that she was a 'no call, no show' and she would be charged $45 for not showing up to her appt. She called to complain about this, and they said 'sorry, we don't have any record of you cancelling.' Lucky for her she called to cancel from work and they record ALL calls and her bank is currently disputing the UNAPPROVED charges. Summary - Horrible customer service and bad buisness practices.

Recently stopped into Lush for a hair consultation. I spoke with Amanda who gave me options for my high-maintenance, short, colored hair. Happy with the creative input and options, I got booked same day. Quick to realize my needs, she textured and toned my short light hair, eliminating brassiness and adding depth. Suggested product for my hair and while informative to benefits, never pushy to buy. Amanda loves what he does. Seems genuinely interested in your hair suiting your lifestyle, not just looking great when you leave the salon. She wants to see your hair "lived-in" and wants clients to return to adjust anything that isn?t jiving with you. I trusted my hair in hers hands. Moved to Indy 6 months ago, nice to know i can quit bouncing between mediocre salons and barbershops. She is fantastic and makes a gal feel beautiful. Thanks!

Be forewarned that if you mix up the date or forget an appointment, Lush will charge you full price unless you cancel 24 hours in advance. (I was never informed of this policy, orally or in writing.) This might be somewhat palatable if their staff called a day ahead with a reminder; but, as they so arrogantly told me (and I quote), ?you get a card with an appointment date on it, and we are too special to give you any additional reminders.?

Not only is their attitude supercilious and rude, it lacks business sense (contrary to their claim, doctor?s offices and other salons DO call you with reminders). I?ve been to some of the hottest salons in London, Paris, and New York: all called in advance, and their staffs were courteous and professional ? not to mention infinitely more talented.

Moreover, Lush has previously messed up my appointment ? without apologizing. I, however, do apologize for the missed appointment, but will never recommend this ?overblown? and mediocre salon ? so mistakenly full of its own importance ? to anyone.

I went in to Lush last weekend to try something new with my hair. If only you could see a before and after picture! Spectacular results! I have strangers asking who does my hair. I could not have asked for better results. My hair was over bleached from the last salon I used, so Danita color corrected it and than used a 3 step damage control system by Euphora! That is a MIRACLE PRODUCT! I thought I would have to shave my head and start over if I ever wanted it to be healthy again. I got the Euphora for home use!! It is a little more costly than your Wal-Mart shampoo but it is SOOOO worth it if you want noticeably healthier hair! She is absolutely fantastic and I see why see is the top rated stylist in Indianapolis; she has the ability to make anyone's hair look fabulous. If you are at all unhappy with your hair, you should go and see Danita at Lush!

They are professional and are excellent at translating your haircut request into a cut that is appropriate for your particular hair texture. My stylist, Amanda Piper, was incredibly nice, impressively knowledgeable, and completely open to hearing what I wanted in a hair cut. I am a new client to Lush and saw Sheila earlier this week for highlights, cut, and blowdry. . . my stylist who I had been going to for 14 years recently moved and I was petrified to start seeing a new stylist. Nevertheless, a friend of mine went to Lush and was very happy and I loved my friend's hair so I figured Id take a chance. Sheila consulted with me very thoroughly before she began and she was so adorable and seemed very confident and knowledgeable! After our consultation I was more at ease and felt that I had made the right decision. I was so thrilled with the outcome of my hair - she nailed it right on! Not only did the color look amazing but her cut was fabulous and the blowdry was even better!! The price was just right in comparison to what mid to upscale salons charge and I was comfortable paying for the wonderful service I received. As far as the salon goes . . . it was fun and friendly. Great lively music and smiling staff! I highly recommend Lush, especially Sheila!! (Honestly Im not quite sure why the reviewer earlier had such issues) good luck everyone!

Like everyone else, I am always relatively unsatisfied with my cut/color after I leave a salon. My hair is a very dark brown, and highlights are generally either too dark or too brassy. I tend to change stylists after one or two visits because of this problem, but no more! I've finally found an amazing salon and Jessica was absolutely wonderful - so incredibly patient with my indecisiveness and my insistence on going a shade lighter than recommended. (I ended up with a "light tobacco" gold which is a caramel-like shade of brown with hints of honey.) Because my hair was previously colored, She applied two different colors so that the new growth wouldn't be darker than the ends. I would have been an incredibly pleased client with just the color, but she gave me a gorgeous cut as well. I have straight hair which is quite thick as well, which usually means that it's weighed down into a boring flat style. However, Jessica worked her magic and took out all of the heaviness while leaving long layers that translate into movement and body. I am just absolutely thrilled with both the cut and color that I received, not to mention the very reasonable price ($130 for 2.5 hours of work). I've been to many different salons ranging from SuperCuts to Salon Ishi in NY but have never gotten such genuinely special and personalized service as today. Thank you Lush, thank you Jessica!

I love this salon. The atmosphere and decor is very tasteful and unique. The Receptionist, John, is the friendliest and
most helpful person you could imagine, He's always got a smile on his face. I followed my hair stylist, Danita, from her
previous work site, just because I know how creative, skilled and wonderful she has treated me. All of her hair stylists
are professionals, who attend hair shows, continue to improve their skills and listen to the client. I also have Sheila
style my hair and she is amazingly creative with me. I don't even have to give her instructions, just let her do what she
thinks would be most attractive. I have never been disappointed.
It's worth the drive from wherever you live to check out Lush salon and her staff.

Lush Hair Salon makes clients feel really special! The salon's decor is charming and I really appreciate the very friendly and professional staff. I stay loyal to Danita White, because she works magic with hair extensions! She has an extremely impressive portfolio, including training and working with the masters of "Great Lengths" extensions in Manhattan. Before moving to Indy, I used to model for students at Antenna. Danita has been doing my hair for about 18 months and she continues to give me a sustainable image every couple of months. Ive had variations of styles ranging from long and wavy, to shoulder length bouncy curls. The extensions are carefully and quickly added to my hair using a sophisticated technique and they usually last for about 12 weeks (depending on your length and/or texture). Intermediate appointments are well worth it because professional maintenance really refreshes the image. She uses superior hair care products to protect my own hair. Whats truly amazing is the color match; you simply cannot tell the difference between my hair and the extensions! I recommend Danita and her team to anyone who wants natural looking glamour. She simply knows her stuff!

If you haven't been happy with your hair and have decided it's time to get a fabulous cut and color, Lush is your place and Danita (the owner) is your woman! She took my average over-layered cut and washed out color that were doing absolutely nothing for me and turned it into something I'm actually proud to have on my head. She really knows hair, she looked at my face, hair texture, and style and designed something that would make my fine hair look thicker, my round face look thinner AND isn't too short. As for color, she managed to take my hair (with its inescapable tendency towards brassiness) and make it a beautiful chocolate color that flattered my skin and eyes with . . . wait for it . . . . NO trace of red! How, I ask? Hair magic!

The salon itself is hip and cool without taking itself too seriously and everyone there is committed to getting you celebrity style without celebrity attitude. Icing on the cake: I spent $120 for the whole shebang (cut AND color, blowdry, style). I've spent 3x as much in a Carmel salon for a cut I've liked half as well.

Trying a new hair colorist is frightening -- especially when you are blonde or want to go blonde. My city search results brought up Lush salon as one of the best in Indianapolis for color and color correction so I gave it a try. I had my hair colored and cut here today and I love it! I just moved here and finding a new stylist has been more difficult than I ever imagined. I just want to say the overall experience was great, very professional and prices way LOWER than New York!! I'll definitely be back! They gave me EXACTLY the lighter blonde I wanted with just the right amount of subtle lowlights. I have been to Fred Segal, Jose Eber, and a million other high end (high priced) salons and have NEVER walked out feeling satisfied. My first experience here was amazing and I am hooked.

DO NOT go to LUSH for Japanese Hair Straitening. Ive done this procedure before in NY and it worked beautifully! I had it done at Lush and it didn't work at all, my hair was virtually the same after the treatment, curly not at all strait. I told them about my disappointment and wasnt treated well. They offered to do it again after I complained. The second time still didnt work and my hair was still very curly. After I notified them, they basically said it was my fault and I did something wrong. I was amazed and surprised at their lack of customer service. I have given this salon a lot of business through friends and myself. Because of their rudeness and unwillingness to fix what they obviously did wrong has left me with a sour taste. I will not go back to this salon.

I have to agree with the last review- Danita is amazing! I say this at the risk of making it impossible to get an appointment with her though :( She really gave me the best haircut of my life and inspired me to actually get my haircut more than twice a year because of how great it looked once she was done. I truly have never gotten as many compliments on my hair as I did after my last cut. She also does a fantastic blowout, so I usually plan my haircuts on days when I have somewhere to go or someone to impress! I highly, highly recommend this salon, and Danita in particular.

I called the salon at 11:30 am on a Saturday as a first time client and was able to get an appointment with Amber at 1:00 pm that same day. I had not cut my long and very thick, rather unruly hair in a year and I can honestly say she gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had in my life. She seemed to intuit my needs and understood exactly what I wanted, even though I wasn't entirely sure what that was until she was finished.

I really can't conceive of a better cut for the money--but it would also stand up against anything twice as expensive, which is what I'm used to.

Having a great haircut is the best!

Ok Ladies....I know we all love a great blowout! For years I have been heading up to Carmel once or twice a week to have my hair styled. NOT ANYMORE!!! I was having lunch with a friend who had the most amazing hair. I asked her who styled it, and she quicky said Alyssa at Lush Salon....in Castleton! I called during our lunch and made an apointment for the following Saturday. As I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest front desk I have seen in a while. This Salon is Amazing! So I asked the receptionist who Alyssa was and she pointed over to her. Alyssa quickly introduced herself. She was so friendly and seemed truly happy to be there. As I sat down, I explained to her that I had an event to go to that night and I wanted my hair to be something with lots of volume and movement ...something that would turn heads!! She smiled and said she knew exactly what to do. Off I went for the most amazing shampoo and head message ever!! As Alyssa began her magic, I could tell by the way she worked that she knew what she was doing. Within 30 minutes she was done. Ladies, she had me ready to walk down a Red Carpet!! It was absolutely AMAZING!! More than I could have asked for! As I left, I felt ABSOLUTELY beautiful!!! I had more compliments that night than I have ever had before. Alyssa, thank you so much for you work!! You definitely have a new client!!! You made my night! You are the Master of Blowouts!!!!

I have been to a million colorists/stylists, as I frequently go from blonde to brunette and back. A color correction visit to Lush was one of my best salon experiences I have ever had. I came to them with deadened bottle-black hair and said "make me blonde again!" They explained to me the reality of the situation, which was that I needed to lighten my hair in stages to save what was left of my highly-stressed hair. They instinctively knew that the in-between color would not be my ideal, so they was very clear about the blondest result we could get from our initial process. Not only did they do great work, but they were extremely patient with me and went above and beyond what any hairdresser would have done to make me feel comfortable and satisfied. I'll be back! Seeing Amanda at Lush Salon was the best experience I have EVER had in a salon! She is an incredible stylist and colorist. Her personality is terrific! No attitude and really sweet. She is very talented. All the stylists in the salon seemed this way--there was no pretension, just nice, incredibly talented people. The salon itself is gorgeous, too. She stayed until 10 PM on a Thursday to get my hair colored, highlighted, and cut. Also, she used a new technique for both my highlights and cut that has given me THE BEST color I've ever had. By 11 am today, 7 people have already complimented me on my hair. All the other women that were getting their hair done at the same time left with gorgeous, gorgeous hair. This is by far the best experience I've ever had at a salon!

This decision was prompted by my growing boredom - the usual routine found in hair salon scenes in around Indianapolis or upscale Carmel- the ongoing cloning of color and cuts. After a brief analysis and conversation, we envisioned just what was necessary to alter my dull hair and old style. The end result was a more dimensional color, a fabulous new cut to magically take my baby fine hair to cutting-edge level! A friendly staff, and stylists are attentive to customers, making it an unpretentious place to be. My hair is very fine and thin. As a result, I could never get it to grow past a certain point. I had my first appointment with Sheila 3 weeks ago, and she did an amazing job on my color. It was EXACTLY what I wanted, but had not been able to achieve after repeated attempts at another salon. Yesterday I had extensions put in for the first time. Once again, she gave me EXACTLY the look I wanted. For the first time in my life I have long, thick hair...and it looks natural! I'm so thankful to have finally found the perfect salon. The atmosphere at Lush Salon is fun, yet professional; and the entire staff could not have been nicer.

This review is a week overdue but you should know that this place is awesome!
It's not New York, thank God! None of that "Hi, I'm the professional here so I'll tell you what's best" load of crap. Danita gave me awesome highlights! I told her what my style's like and what I'm going for and she pieced it together. She and her staff are super friendly people and actually LISTEN to you! They're also VERY accommodating! Their last appointment is usually 6pm, but I went in at 7 pm on a FRIDAY evening and stayed there till 9pm! Then they got my hair party ready and I was good to go! If you want down to earth people in a zen-like atmosphere who are friendly, check out Lush!

A sublime place for the ladies (gentlemen too) to have your hair tended to. The ladies who work here are obvious beneficiaries of each others arts. My friend Jim commented: "It's an extraordinary collection of feminine beauty in one place." But there's more than outer beauty here; each of the ladies is a distinct and delightful personality. I've had a chance to observe and listen to the girls for six months since I've been coming here. My distinct impression is they are taking care of the needs of their friends, not mere customers. Their main goal is for you to be pleased with the results and will do all they know to achieve that result. The ladies keep up with the latest styles and trends by attending hair dresser conventions regularly. Finally, you'll always hear the sound of laughter in Lush. You are guaranteed to leave in a great mood!

I love this salon. The atmosphere and decor is very tasteful and unique. The Receptionist, John Mark, is the friendliest and most helpful person you could imagine, He's always got a smile on his face. I followed my hair stylist, Danita, from her previous work site, just because I know how creative, skilled and wonderful she has treated me. All of her hair stylists are professionals, who attend hair shows, continue to improve their skills and listen to the client. I also have Sheila style my hair and she is amazingly creative with me. I don't even have to give her instructions, just let her do what she thinks would be most attractive. I have never been disappointed.

It's worth the drive from wherever you live to check out Lush salon and her staff.

I've been getting my hair cut and colored by Danita White for a few years now and I couldn't imagine going to any other stylist or any other salon. I get so many compliments on my hair now and every time I just tell them.. go to LUSH-they are the best. All the stylists at LUSH are so talented and really are the best at what they do. I have never been dissatisfied with my experience there.

Everytime I leave LUSH I walk out the door feeling like a movie star. Danita makes me feel so glamourous!! I love my hair!

While living in London in the late-90's, I had a wonderful hairstylist at John Frieda's salon. I moved to Indiana in 2005 and began my search for a wonderful hairstylist here. I found Lush Salon on Citysearch. I went to the website, read the stylists' bios and made an appointment.

I couldn't be happier with the results of my visit and the Lush staff! I've entered into the 50's decade of my life and wanted a new look to enhance my experience and wisdom. The stylists are quiet, yet assured in their knowledge, talent and skill in revealing the best of me and my hair.

Yes, I found a stylist that can offer me the quality of services I am accustom to at a salon. Danita is a full-service stylist. She always gives me fabulous color and highlights followed by a "just stepped out of a salon - I'm worth it" blowout to make-up and waxing - she does it all! I am extremely particular about how my highlights look and Danita always does meticulous work. When I really want to go sassy I ask her to spice it up with her latest hot iron or pin curl tricks! If you want your man's FULL saluting attention ask for the vacationmickie special!

I have been visiting Lush Salon for hairstyling and color for some time, and have never had anything remotely resembling a bad experience. The atmosphere is great, and the prices reasonable.

The staff goes out of their way to welcome you and make you feel comfortable, offering refreshment as soon as you arrive. I have never had a long wait.

I am extremely happy with Carissa who seems to know exactly what works for me. I ask her for suggestions on different things to try with my hair, and her suggestions are always perfect! She takes the time to show me how to maintain the style and deal with problem areas. I have total confidence and her helpfulness and friendly personality have made every visit to Lush a pleasure. I wouldnt consider going anywhere else.

Sheila not only salvaged my poor brittle locks, but educated me on what I could do to protect them. She took into account that I work outdoors all year round and have curly hair that likes to frizz and tangle. The other really cool thing that she did was to give it a cut that made use of what nature had given. After years of going to salons only to have my hair tortured by people trying to make it do things that it just was not meant to do, I am blessed to have started working with her.

I recently tried Lush after a co-worker suggested that I needed to give these guys a try since I was paying way too much for my current highlight and cut. Not to mention waiting for the haircutter to take me once my color was completed by another stylist. This place without a doubt has the most relaxing and professional feel I have ever encountered. I saw Carissa for everything and the color far exceeded my expectations given my track record with those departmental salons. I totally love my hair and the color is much more interesting and hip. All of the stylist there are friendly and without attitude and there was a general feeling of people having fun and enjoying their experience. I LOVE MY HAIR!!!!!!

This place is fabulous! I moved here a year ago and stumbled upon it by accident and I will never go anywhere else in the area for my salon needs! The staff is very friendly and talented. They are also very attentive to your needs. They do what YOU want, not what they want. Watching the hairstylists do their work is fascinating....such skill and expertise. The location is fabulous. The products they sell (which includes Prive) are the best. The prices are competitive - it's worth every penny.

"I have never allowed anyone to color my hair since Danita...& that was about 10 years ago! Even when I lived in Italy, I still came back on occation to Indy to get it done--she's absolutely the best! I was referred to Danita White the owner of Lush by a friend who got his haircut by her. He raved highly about her & it was perfect timing because my stylist of many years just moved & I was in search of a new salon & stylist. I dont know about the rest of the stylists at Lush, but Danita was fantastic. She is very low key and down to earth, listens to what you say you want & is technically one of the best stylist Ive come across. I have never walked out of a salon so happy with my hair. Usually I have to give it weeks before I start liking it. Danita is great with curly hair.
The salon is mellow & not pretentious. The staff is very professional, & they carry great products. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful stylist

"Super sexy" is what I've been told of my new hair style. Easy to mantain and even looks great when I wake up. My cut has subtle bangs that fall in just the right places in front of my eyes. I know it was done on purpose, based on my face shape, but it sure looks unintentional and natural. And the layers make my hair move in ways I've never had it before. I feel like I never want this cut to grow out. I'll be sure to go back again. I also got a scalp massage with my shampoo and I do feel it made a difference in my hair's health. Feels and looks great.

This salon is great for both great cuts/styles and expert color. Very hard to get both within a reasonable price. Here you got it!! Lush is amazing! The salon has online reservations, which is really nice. The location is convenient and the atmosphere in the salon is very relaxing. It's just a treat sitting in there. There is absolutely no "attitude" in this place. I felt very comfortable, like I was in my own home almost. The prices are very reasonable as well. My stylist is Carissa and she is so nice and helpful. She really listened to what I wanted and only wanted to give me a style and color that I was comfortable with. I'm sure the other stylists are excellent as well. I have to say it was one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had in a salon. When I left, I really was thrilled with the results, and amazed at how reasonable the prices were for the service I received. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

My first review ever- Lush is the best, hands down. After moving to Chicago I actually drive back here every 6 weeks to get my hair cut and colored. That may sound insane, but bottom line- Danita is a pro. As a designer, I am always particular, looking for great quality, and wanting an inspiring experience in everything I do. Lush delivers. Why compromise or wonder on someone else? 10/10 and I feel lucky to have found someone I can consistently count on!

I recently moved to Indianapolis from NY and was in search of a fabulous colorist. After having two terrible experiences prior to going to Lush, I was hoping that someone would come to my rescue and bring my hair back to life. After 2 hours of color correction, she had changed my awful two tone brown/red/gold/yellow hair color into a beautiful chocolate brown with cool ash blonde hiltes-exactly the way i wanted it!!! She is extremely talented, edgy, experienced, and a sweetheart!! I highly recommend her to everyone and anyone that wants to have amazing color and look like a million bucks-she is a true find!! What truly amazing talent lies within the doors of Lush Salon. My hair started out as dark brown and no style. Carissa turned my hair into the most beautiful beach blonde color. She lightened the base color and added gorgeous highlights. This is not an easy task and she did an amazing job, there is absolutely no brassiness just wonderful buttery blonde! Then Sheila gave me the most amazing haircut. She knew exactly what would look right with my face shape, hair texture. My hair went from fine and limp to very cool and sophisticated! When she cut my hair she was meticulous and is a true artist. I have received so many compliments! Thank you both for your wonderful skill, awesome personalities and giving me gorgeous hair again.

I loved the look of the salon as soon as I walked in very calming and elegant.Then the staff makes you feel very welcome and are so personable ....no matter how your hair looks.
I had highlights done first and have never been so happy with them in seriously 10 years.
Then I had the extensions done and love them . There are four hair stylists and being there for a long time for my hair I saw alot of women come in and leave with stunning hair......all the girls take pride in their work and you leave looking fantastic.Well done Lush everything is exceptional .The owner and stylist has done a fantastic job with teaming only the best hair technicians .

I have been in Indy for 5 days at a convention and needed a break from all the walking. I found Lush by searching on City Search and found it to be very worth while. It was be best deal in town, a cut and color for under $100.00. I was shocked for a smaller salon that the staff was very personal and very friendly. I do not like the big salons due to the way they rush you in and out of there so fast. Lush was very laid back and were glad you were there relaxing and enjoying yourself. Two weeks ago I read a comment about Danitas extensions in a magazine. I have to thank them for the advice. I got them last week. I have thinning hair and it has helped me a lot, people dont know what it is but they see something different on me. They are thinking that Ive changed my haircut! Now my hair is fuller, I wanted only volume not length (most of Danitas clients are looking for length). She also gave me the best haircut I have ever had! And as a bonus she used different tones of color and the result I got was unbelievable. I hope my posting will help others (fashion and beauty is very important for me).

I was looking for a new stylist and someone to do hair extensions. After talking to several people in the college town where I live, no one could do them the way that I wanted. So I got on the internet, read about Danita and Lush, made my appointment and drove from Bloomington three times to get my hair done. Carissa was wonderful in matching my color and talking with me about past hair experiences. Danita was awesome in doing my extensions that even my mom and my grandmother weren't sure what was my real hair and the extensions. I just found my new salon and highly recommend Lush to everyone!

After my first haircut in Indianapolis (from a chain salon) two years ago, I was in my office restroom on the brink of tears when a co-worker told me she had a good doctor. I made an appointment with Danita, she fixed my terrible cut, and I haven't seen anyone else since. Danita is a perfectionist, and her cuts allow me to leave the house with wet hair, and to extend the time between cuts when needed, because they grow out so well. When I decided to get highlights, I made an appointment and was amazed by how natural and seamless the color was. Friends even said, "This is what your natural color should be." Her color is as thorough and meticulous and she now has created her own wonderful salon.

Lush Salon was an awesome experience! I had my hair highlighted and cut and I love it! I arrived to the salon a few minutes early and met with Sheila who took the time to consult with me so I felt confident when she started my color. (This is always scary when you go to someone new!) After highlighting my hair she shampooed me and gave me a great haircut. I really appreciated how she took into consideration the fact that I dont have the time or skill for a high-maintenance hair style, so the cut I got is really workable for me to duplicate at home. Overall I had a great experience there. I highly recommend this salon!

I've also had my hair cut in Atlanta, Scottsdale, and Denver and enjoyed my Lush experience as much as I've enjoyed my salon experiences in other cities. Last week Jessica cut my hair and she was incredibly nice and full of helpful hair tips. It was the first time I'd visited this salon and was impressed by friendly service. Sure, the place looks nice, too, but it's the service that matters and Jessica was great. I would certainly go back.

This salon is fabulous. It is a bit on the expensive side, but it is well worth it in my opinion. I don't mind paying when I get great results. I also have longer hair so coloring is a bit more expensive for total color. I had a seriously horrible cut at another salon and Carissa fixed it perfectly. It looks exactly how I wanted it to look before I went to the other salon. I also got a color which looks fabulous. I don't think my hair has ever looked so good. My hair seems to be hard for stylists to cut due to it's curlyness, but she knew just what to do. I was not pressured to do anything I didn't want to due or pressured to buy their product (which was nice for a change). Great Salon. Very Professional and Friendly.

Lush is one of the finest Salons in Indianapolis! When I walked in, it felt like I was in Miami! The atmosphere is breathtaking; the staff is friendly and welcoming. Their Services are what you would expect from a top notch Salon. I had Highlights/Haircut and my hair is perfect! My Stylist told me that education is key for their staff, and it shows! I could go on, but see for your self, to the people that commented on their bad experience, how about giving them the chance to fix your "problem" You ever heard the saying, one "bad" meal at a restaurant, doesnt make it a bad restaurant? Seems like you would not be pleased at any Salon!

I was definitely in a hair rut, so I decided to try a different salon. I went to Lush based in part on the citysearch reviews...I was quite pleasantly surprised! They gave me a fantastic haircut and totally reshaped my brows to open-up my eyes! For the quality of service that was given, I do not think their prices were high...higher than what I would pay out here in the 'burbs, but definitely worth it. Everyone that I encountered at the salon were professional and friendly.

I was not impressed. I've lived in Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Denver, Vegas, and Scottsdale and had great stylists in all of those cities. My cut at Lush was actually the most I've ever spent for a haircut, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately high prices doesn't always mean impressive results. I felt like did a better job styling my hair than the licensed stylist at Lush. I looked better when I walked into the salon than when I walked out of it. The service was good, excpet my stylist seemed more focused on telling me about the Prive products than cutting or styling my hair. She didn't really listen to what I wanted. Lots of money for a mediocre cut. If you like to be treated with respect but have low expectations for your hair, I'd recommend Lush. Otherwise, keep looking.

I hadn't heard anything about LUSH but at 6:55 p.m. on a Monday night, I was bound and determined to. All of us girls know how that is! I knew that my chances of getting an appointment at any salon would be slim, so I called LUSH to see if they could fit me in. When I arrived Danita and Carissa were so welcoming. I told Carissa about my challenges and she offered solutions to ensure my hair would look great. Carissa was able to tame my wild mane! I have that odd curly hair that I like to wear stick straight one day and curly the next. She offered up some great tips on how to tease my hair to add more body. I think that LUSH is very blessed to have Carissa working for them. I plan to recommend, repat, and increase business with LUSH.

I moved from Texas and am extremely skeptical of new places, deals, and searching things out on the internet and most of all letting people deal with my hair. I find someone and then stick with them, so I did my research and found Jessica at Lush on the city search profile and had a gut feeling that she was it, and boy was I right!! My first time visit was incredible. Not only is she a color genius taking me from a red to a beautiful blonde, looking like I popped out of the womb with golden locks!! But she gave me a cut that changed everything! The atmosphere is great, theres free valet parking and the price is way worth the results...What more can you ask for?? I know its one of the hardest tasks to find new hairstylist, but have no fear putting your trust in Jessica!!!

After years of receiving and complaining about my bad haircuts, my friends finally had enough of it and demanded that I go to Lush at Keystone at the Crossing. Reluctantly I went but did not have high hopes. I have to admit that I went into the salon that day expecting to receive an "o.k." haircut at a not so "o.k." price - but I was wrong. The attention I received from the woman who work there was like nothing I have ever received from a salon before. They took the time to consult with me to fully understand what I was looking for - and the result was an amazing cut! I was extremely impressed by their talents. I now tell my friends that it was the best piece of advice they have ever given me.

It's easy to feel comfortable in this cozy salon even for a shy person like me. My stylist, was on time, professional and practically psychic about what I was looking for in a new hairstyle. She has a gift, I swear. I couldn't articulate how I wanted my hair cut exactly but she totally got it and gave me some simple styling tips that are really flattering. She didn't try to push products on me and patiently answered my billion questions without seeming annoyed. The complimentary head/neck massage was a nice touch. I walked in there feeling self-conscious and nervous and walked out feeling fabulous- for real. I am always happy to support conscious businesses like Lush that are good to their employees and the environment, but it helps a lot that the service and quality is excellent, too. I'm definitely going back!

I went to Lush Salon last week and was very impressed. Danita cut my hair and gave me the best cut I've ever had. I have gone to several salons and just wasn't satisfied, until I went to Lush. The staff was very friendly and they made me feel right at home. Danita was very confident in what she was doing. I was impressed that she didn't use clippers and was able to show off the skills she has with the scissor over comb technique. I will definitely be back to see her and the rest of the salon staff!

I have lived in Indianapolis for 1.5 years and still drive to Carmel to get my hair cut by my favorite stylist. No more! I used CitySearch to locate an option closer to home and was thrilled with the results. Lush is an upscale looking/feeling salon, and the people are very friendly. No hip city snobs. I got an appointment with Carissa because she had an immediate opening, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. She's the most junior stylist there, but did an amazing job. She listened, and she cleared all her recommendations with me as she was cutting. I walked out with a fabulous cut that is ready to wear today and totally reproduce-able on my own. There was no pressure AT ALL to buy products, additional treatments, etc. The best part--it cost $45!

I was amazed by the treatment I received at Lush. I have been to salons before that are so institutionalized that you are only a number. At Lush, I was treated with the utmost care and prestige. The atmosphere was great, the people were friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone for a cut, color, or whatever you may desire.

This is such a fabulous salon. Everyone working there is pleasant and really knows how to work with all hair types. I had my hair cut and colored and it has never looked better. I have never been treated so well in a salon! The staff here is so great and talented, too! I had my hair and eyebrows done and each was a great experience. I have been going to the same dull place for years and i have now found a salon that has passion! I looked so good. I found a new salon!

I highly recommend her highlights. Having dark brown hair, its very hard to find the right mixture of colors to avoid the skunk look. She was very informative on what colors would work well with my natural hair color, and did exactly what she explained. She blended a mix of cinnamon, gold, and light brown, and it looks great! I have never had so many complements on my hair. People I dont know come up to me and ask were I had my hair done. Danita also gave a very thorough explanation of what kind of products would work best with my hair to achieve the style I was going for. Though I was slightly hesitant on purchasing the Prive' products she recommended, I was amazed at the salon quality hair styles I now can do at my own home.

I went there with two of my friends and we were in a wedding. It was our first visit and we were treated like royalty. I have always been nervous about coloring and cutting my hair due to my past experiences. I went to Lush (I found it through this website) I was so nervous that I even bought in a book of pictures circled with hair cuts and color that I liked. Carissa was so sweet she calmed my nerves and listened to what I wanted. She worked her magic and, I came out looking like a MOVIE STAR!!!! MY BOYFRIENDS JAW DROPPED when he saw me. Since my new look I get nothing but compliments about how great my hair looks. Everyone wants to know with who I got my hair done with ... I just smile and say Carissa, she's the best..... lol

Im a model and am very particular about who cuts my hair. I have had my hair done by the best stylist around the globe, and I am now living in Indianapolis. My agent told me to go to Danita who owns LUSH I have heard of her through other model friends of mine when I was abroad living in Parisand she is truly a world class hairstylistand everything I have been told. The salon had a very pleasant atmosphere as well, and no matter where I move to for work I will make sure to book trips back to Indy just for Danitas hair cuts! Shes Fabulous!

After experiencing several salons in Indianapolis that were overpiced, not very good, or both, I finally landed on this gem. I got full highlights and a cut, and my hair looks fabulous!!! These are some of the best highlights I have ever had. Danita did my hair and was VERY patient and did an excellent job in communicating my options and all of the pros and cons of each choice. I LOVE it. It felt so good to sit in front a stylist and not feel rushed and pressured about what I wanted. In addition, I got a massage and conditioning treatment for free as part of the total experience. This place is fabulous, and I plan on recommending it to all my friends!

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but in this case I must. I searched for someone great with highlights and color, and i found Danita i went, expecting to be traumatized the way I'd been in my previous attempts at other stylists' salons, but i was thrilled before, during, and after. Danita was reassuring and skillful, and my hair color looks better than it ever has.
This salon is great for both great cuts/styles and expert color. Very hard to get both within a reasonable price. Here you got it!! Do not expect a pretentious atmosphere, but do expect a chic salon with lively and entertaining stylists. GREAT PROFESSIONALS. I highly recommend Lush salon.
