We just got a new stove, dishwasher and refrigerator for a great deal! Just moved in to a new home and needed everything. Everywhere else we looked didnt even compare to these deals and service! The sales people were EXTREMELY helpful

We had a disastrous time figuring out our kitchen remodel but amidst that chaos, Appliance Smart remained a staple of good service and help. We ended up returning everything we had bought in white and exchanging for stainless steel and thanks to John (make sure you ask for him or Jason) the transaction was smooth and easy for us. He really went out of his way to help us and I am happy to pass along the recommendation that you should definitely go here for all your appliance needs. Not only was the service at the St. Paul store impeccable, but I did ALOT of research for prices and you really can't beat them. Thank you Appliance Smart and thank you John!

Apple Valley Appliancesmart Brags about their Service Department. are, we unimpressed at how they could CARE LESS!

3 months ago our landlord purchased several washers and dryers for a few untis (he owns over 20). He always purchases from Appliance-not-so-smart.

Our front loading washer developed a severe water leak on Dec 14th. On Dec 15th, a tech visited us. We had identified the EXACT problem with them on the phone, and the washer has a 1 year warranty. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE TECH WOULD HAVE THE PART AND FIX THE WASHER when he came. He didnt.

He spent 2 mn on the washer issue - a damaged seal around the door - and 25 mn telling me we were not using a high effency detergent as reccomended by the manufacturer. (he was in fact, quite wrong. I pointed his concern out to my wife when she got home and she pulled down the one and only botle of the shelf CLEARLY marked with the high effency logo).

Thomas called (or did he ........perhaps he was "acting like he called" his manager on his cell right in front of me and gave model, part and serial numbers, paused, and said "unfortunately we do not stock this part but is is nbow ordered and will be in and installed "within 5 to 7 days".

14 full days later....nothing. We have left no more than 11 messages only to NO ANSWERS!!!! NO RESPONSE. NO CALLS. NOTHING!

Last night, after a 10 hour work day, and my wife calling the local store, she discovered that the service department is in St. Louis park, and not directly attached to Appliancesmart. I asked for a manager, none available. I left a detailed note, addressed to the store manager, with two phone numbers. DO YOU THINK A MANAGER CALLED? NOPE

FINALLY11AM and said she cant find any record but she would keep looking. 3PM she called to say still cant find any record. At that point I got the service ticket number and called her "Direct line" the phone rang for 11 mn with NOBODY answering. I am not kidding - 11 mn.

Cons: NO Custoemr Service and passing the buck after the sale

I purchased a Whirpool refrigerator and had it delivered in 11/5/08, on 11/6/08 every item I had in the fridge was room air temperature and every item in the freezer had defrosted and gone bad. I called and they stated they would not replace it. I called whirlpool and they stated that my serial number was registered to someone else in 02/07 and serviced several times and deemed defective. So I went to another appliance store and low and behold the rep tells me that he used to work for a place that went under and Appliance Smart purchased everything from his old employer, new and used and put it on their floor to sell the next day! I confronted Appliance Smart again and low and behold I got my money back, but only after I told them that I would reveal their shady practices to the BBB! I had to fight all the way to the regional manager to get my money back! Beware they do sell used items!

BEWARE of Appliance Smart, Bad experience. I purchased 24 Whirlpool washers and dryers to use in apartments. They did not have 24 sets in stock so the manager said it would take a week or two to get them in. That was ok with me. I did receive about eight sets within two weeks, but the remaining, well that was a different story. In a few months I received a few more, then finally, approximately one year, yes, one year later I received the final eight of them. Some tenants already had washers and dryers so we did not install them all, placing these in storage. After these tenants moved out we then installed the washers and dryers only to encounter a lot of problems. The motor does not work in two of them, service guy said the cost would be around $500. Several of the previous ones had miscellaneous problems. One did not have any electronics in it, it was all missing. These are suppose to be scratch and dent or refurbished, how could I receive such junk. Appliance Smart obviously has no quality control.

I had a horrible experience with Sears who had scheduled my range delivery this morning between 9 and 11 (12/23) last week and then cancelled early today so I was going to have no range for the Christmas holidays. I called Apple Valley Appliance Smart, spoke to John Colby, told him the exact specs that I needed, and asked if he had any in stock. He said he had at least three. We went over there and he helped us start to finish and I had the range purchased in less than an hour ... got a better price on almost the same exact range than I had paid Sears. I would refer anyone to Apple Valley Appliance Smart and I would definitely recommend they ask for John Colby. He was knowledgeable on all makes and models and, as I said, helped us through the whole purchase process. I would say he truly exceeded my expectations and I am a very happy customer.

This is a great store if your in the market for a new appliance, but don't want to pay an outrageous fee. You can get anything from a fridge to a washer and dryer. The sales clerks are pretty nice and in my opinion don't seem to pressure you when you are in their looking or shopping. They also seem to be pretty knowledgeable about the appliances. And you definetly can't beat the prices. For instance, you can get a washer or dryer for under $200.

PROS: Great prices
CONS: I believe their are only a handful of stores, so it could be a long drive

We recently purchased a dryer here when our "old" one (five years old) went on the fritz. We were able to get a higher end scratch and dent one without paying the higher price. The staff was really friendly and surprisingly knowledgeable. We would definitely make future appliance purchases here.
